booked the parque Carolina apartments. We were stuck outside the hotel for 25 minutes on arrival due to no one being on reception and no one answering the phone number that was left on the door. The area is as rough as it gets .
A man then let us in after no one answered the phone - the man said he worked there and told us to follow him to the room to check in, turns out he didn’t work there.
The phone number on the door then rang us back and told us our key was outside the hotel on the wall. we left immediately after checking in due to the patio door being broken and not shutting properly and we were on the ground floor with a pitch black car park right outside. We were £400 out of pocket due to having to book somewhere else due to safety reasons. Someone in the hotel offered to book us a taxi - 10 minutes later a big X5 jeep turned up with 3 big men in. We panicked and ordered an uber. The next morning the hotel rang us to ask why we wernt there and offered us a refund - we replied exactly what happened. They then further replied not making much sense in Spanish trying to get us to go back there to collect the refund. We got our new hotel to translate it to English as it didn’t make sense and they warned us that the person messaging was trying to set us up to mug us as this happens frequently with this hotel.
They have ignored us since as I said they can refund me via on the beach or via bank transfer. This hotel is somewhere I would definitely not recommend if you like to feel safe on holiday and don’t want to get mugged.
They tried it on with us and it didn’t work in favour for them.

Would not recommend this place. Have been to Costa del Silencio many times before but the hotel we usually use has closed.
Had to phone to get the keys to the apartment, which was supposed to be a one bedroom but was just a large studio, no separate bedroom. We didn't complain as we just wanted a break from work and to get some sun.
During the second week the owner came and said we needed to move because the apartment was sold, and the new owner wanted it straight away. He did give us 150 euros by way of compensation, the new apartment was exactly the same.
When we we due to check out he would not let us stay as we had a late pick up for the airport, said that was the airlines fault. Then got stroppy when we asked about having a key to get back into reception area, as it was usually locked, to pick up our suitcases. Did not see anyone go into our previous apartment in the few days we were still there.
The fixtures and fittings are old, loose doors on kitchen fittings, bathroom flooded when having a shower.
Definitely not a 3 star complex

we spent here 12 days and were satisfied. sure it's not a 4-star hotel, basic and not new, but for the money it was a good option. the rooms were clean, the sheets and towels are changed once in a week. the reception is open very rare, but if you call them on phone, they are helpful. I just don't recommend the washing machine, clothes didn't get clean.
The village is dirty and doesn't look good at all, so better to have a car and explore other beaches. If you don't rent a car, it's not an ideal place to stay, we also just came to the apartment to sleep.. But the island has so much to offer, that you shouldn't stay in one place anyway..

Honestly this was perfect. No frills but perfect if you’re looking for a simple vacation and the pool is great. Seems like they’re constantly improving it.
The book exchange in the reception is a nice touch too - some great reads!

Just spent nearly 4 weeks here. Had to leave early due to the nightly noise starting around midnight by the man lookng after the place. The quiet hours are not applied here at all.
Same chap is constantly spitting around the pool.
