The hotel is nice and spacious, but its age is starting to show in some areas. The beach bar is falling apart, and the quiet beach could do with more attention – at the very least, a few more stairways should be added to provide access to the sea; at the moment there are only two, and they’re not in very good condition. I’d consider adding a few more toilets, as there’s only one on the beach – which is vast and very clean (cleaned every day) – and the same goes for the pool area; there aren’t any poolside toilets at all, so you have to use the ones at reception.
But I don’t want to just criticise the whole hotel complex – it’s clean and tidy. The staff are very kind and friendly. Cups, plates, cutlery and all such items are cleaned regularly to ensure maximum comfort for guests. The food and drink were prepared to a high standard and were always very tasty, with a wide selection of dishes available, including options for various allergies, both in the main restaurant and in the à la carte restaurants, which I can highly recommend trying.
The rooms were cleaned every day, towels were changed, and the minibar was restocked with water and soft drinks.
In the quiet parts of the beach, no staff come up to you offering massages, diving, bracelets or photos, which is nice as you aren’t bothered by anything. However, I can recommend a snorkelling trip and a turtle-watching trip from the beach dive centre.
There were also a few entertainers at the hotel, though they were only really visible during the water aerobics and the evening show; otherwise, they weren’t seen much.
The beach, the sea, the walkways, the gardens, the ponds, the swimming pools, and even the corridors and reception area – all of these were carefully cleaned, maintained and tidied to the highest standard every day.
I can recommend this hotel and can certainly imagine returning here one day; and if the hotel were to undergo further refurbishment of the aspects I’ve already mentioned, I think it would be one of the best hotels in Hurghada and the surrounding area.

We traveled to Palm Royale Resort in Soma Bay as a family — my partner, our two-year-old daughter, and I — and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way.
From the very first moment, the staff’s attention was outstanding: warm, attentive, and highly efficient in handling any request or concern we had. Airport transfers both on arrival and departure were punctual and seamless.
Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and kept spotlessly clean — housekeeping was done daily and everything worked perfectly throughout our stay.
The dining options were excellent. The resort features four themed restaurants — Italian, Greek, regional Egyptian, and Asian — all offering a high standard of food and service. The buffet restaurant (Estela) also impressed us every single day with a varied, fresh menu and a wide range of healthy options, which was particularly appreciated when traveling with a young child.
The pools are great and the overall resort grounds are very well maintained and clean.
A special mention for those traveling with kitesurfing in mind: the location of this hotel is unbeatable. The resort’s own kite spot and Surf Motion — located right next door — offer ideal conditions. The proximity to the spot was actually the main reason we chose Palm Royale, and it absolutely delivered.
In short: a hotel that combines excellent service, quality dining, well-maintained facilities, and a prime location for kitesurfers. We would recommend it without hesitation.

We had a fantastic stay at the Palm Royale Soma Bay in Egypt. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing from the moment you arrive.
The food was excellent, with plenty of variety every day. One of the highlights was enjoying freshly grilled fish while overlooking the stunning Red Sea.
The beach is absolutely amazing—soft golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise water that's perfect for swimming. The sea is calm, warm, and incredibly clear, making it ideal for snorkeling.
A special thank you to the team at the Aqua Center, specifically Mr. Egypt and Mr. Abo, who organized a fantastic snorkeling trip for us. They were professional, friendly, and made sure everyone had a great time. Swimming and snorkeling in the clear waters and discovering the beautiful marine life, Adel Guide made us an unforgettable experience and beautiful videos and photos. I alos want to thank Mr Abo for the most deliciuos mango ever. Thank you all guys!

We discovered this hotel a few years ago, and since then we have been returning with our family every year.
The hotel is beautiful and the entire staff is kind and always willing to help.
The hotel offers a wide range of activities, massages, and different services. Every person working in the resort made our days even more enjoyable.
I would especially like to praise the entire Aqua Center team and the activities they offer. We have joined their boat trips several times, and this year we also tried the sofa ride on the sea, which was a very fun and exciting experience. The team consists of wonderful and friendly people who truly make a difference.
Our only disappointment was the entertainment team.
The entertainment teams in previous years were absolutely amazing—full of energy, friendly, engaging, and a big part of what made our holidays so enjoyable. We sincerely hope you will bring them back, as a great entertainment team makes a huge difference to the overall guest experience.

Amazing hotel! This is our third time staying here, and every visit leaves us impressed all over again!
The beach is beautiful, the hotel is wonderful, everything is clean and well maintained, and there are plenty of daily activities to enjoy. The food selection is huge and absolutely delicious. The gym is exceptionally well equipped, and the spa center is excellent.
What stands out the most is the staff – incredibly friendly, helpful, professional, and always smiling. They are attentive and ready to assist at any moment.
A special mention goes to ABO, a true professional and a wonderful person from whom you can learn a lot. He is one of the reasons our stay is always so memorable.
Overall, a perfect 10/10 experience! We can’t wait to come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
