My stay at the Old Palace Resort in Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada, was a negative experience. The bed linen was full of stains, and the staff was rude—some simply lacked basic manners, while others were overly pushy and intrusive in their communication, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Most of the sunbeds on the beach were broken or damaged, the food was monotonous, and the overall hygiene was not up to standard. Unsurprisingly, I ended up with stomach issues starting from the third day of my stay.The front desk staff was far from friendly, but the staff at the lobby bar—especially a woman whose name I don't know—showed extremely rude behavior that is truly disgraceful for a resort. I feel sorry for the few employees who were actually nice, but the vast majority made zero effort to accommodate guests or make the stay pleasant. The evening showtime was weak, so there was really no point in attending. I deeply regret spending my vacation at this resort and would never return. The staff treated us as if our stay hadn't been fully paid for. It's worth noting that this is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, yet many basic things require an extra charge, such as the SPA center. We were informed that the in-room minibar was complimentary; however, we never found any food or drinks in it. The sea is beautiful, and that is truly the only positive memory I will take away from this trip. The hotel interior is nice, but unfortunately, given all the negative experiences, it is negligible.

The kids club and animation team are absolutely amazing! My daughter had the best time during our stay—she didn't want to leave. A huge shoutout to Hagar, who was incredible with her. They made bracelets, did drawings, and enjoyed so many fun activities together. Hagar's patience and warmth really stood out, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing our daughter was in such great hands. Highly recommend this place for families!

We had a wonderful stay at Old Palace Resort. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The staff were friendly and always helpful, the food was great, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable.
A special thanks to the animation team for their amazing energy and entertainment. They made every day more fun with their activities, smiles, and positive attitude.
Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable. We would definitely love to come back again!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! Every single member of the staff was kind, respectful, welcoming, and always greeted us with a smile. They truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
A special thank you to the chef, who prepared delicious food every day with such care and passion. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
The restaurant staff were simply outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Their excellent service made every dining experience enjoyable.
And the animation team deserves the biggest applause! They were absolutely amazing, full of energy, fun, and enthusiasm. They worked incredibly hard to make every day entertaining for both adults and children, creating unforgettable memories for everyone.

I was staying at the Old Palace from June, 20 to July, 4, 2026 as a female solo traveller, so, for me my personal safety and appropriate attitude were a priority. This hotel totally met my expectations! There are 3 things that make this hotel one of the best:
1. The hotel staff. Everyone was welcoming, but not clingy, keeping enough distance to make me feel a guest in safety and comfort. I would like to express my personal gratitude to Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud, the restaurant manager, so that I felt always welcomed and well served. I celebrated my birthday in the hotel, and Mr. Ahmed arranged the best table with top notch service. I saw him being so scrupulous to details, a real professional and a humble gentleman.
Also I would like to highlight the housekeeping boy, he served the corridor of room 1354. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name. He was so kind, humble, polite and industrious - every day I found my room fresh and clean with everything put in order.
When I was checking out, I met Ehab, the receptionist, who provided the excellent service helping me with my smallest needs and even more. He was incredibly polite, well educated and so helpful!
2. The beach. Absolutely perfect, knee deep the first 20 metres, then gently sloping deeper. Every morning beach boys clean the beach by sweeping sifting the sand. I would like to pay attention to lifeguards who are at the beach all the time watching the swimmers and doing their job the best - all equipment was ready to be used at the moment of need - lifeboats, flotation aids. It gave me feeling of total safety in the sea.
3. Restaurant food. It was delicious, especially grilled meet and seafood. I appreciated falafel and tahini sauce - so tasty! The desserts were masterpieces! Also, my favourite morning "fitir" gave me +4 kilos above my normal weight, but it was definitely worth it!
Besides, there is a wonderful pharmacy nearby with reasonable prices, a beautiful fountain alley to the left of the hotel, so you can always walk beyond the hotel area and still feel secure.
There were some small deficiencies, though - I would ask to include more variety of fruit in the restaurant - probably watermelons, mangoes, guavas, if possible, please?
In conclusion, I would like to thank everyone who works in the hotel, from the gardener to the general manager. I loved the Old Palace and will definitely visit it next summer! See you in 2027
