Went on a couple's holiday for 11 nights, the staff were the best part of the hotel. They were brilliant and service was perfect.
The food in all-inclusive was acceptable but did become comically predictable and we had to go out a few times for other food. Drinks were perfect for our taste and I was very impressed that had they real Coca-Cola on tap.
Hotel was mostly clean, we had a lot of ants on our patio however, as long as you didn't leave anything on the floor they went away and wandered somewhere else. We only had a few come in to room through a crack in the tiles.
Room had a few broken pieces, the toilet would constantly drip, the sofa had what looked like a burn from an iron and there were a few smaller things but nothing too bad. We saw lots of maintenance staff doing their best to keep things maintained. Room was perfectly layed out with a TV showing English channels, a kitchen and then a separate bedroom.
It's a very noisy hotel both at night and during the day. There was construction happening towards the back which was noisy throughout the day and then, being in the center of Las Americas, it was very loud at night. Saturday was by far the worst with music at another hotel going until about 1am but even worse than that, we had some very noisy neighbours who were playing loud music until 2am and then came back with more noise at about 6:30am in the morning. We did complain to reception but nothing changed. If you want to go out and party, the location is perfect.
It's a mostly family orientated hotel and was very popular with guests requiring additional accessibility features which the hotel caters for well from what we could see. This alone gives the review an extra star.
Although we would not stay here again due to personal preferences it was still a nice stay.

We upgraded and paid for the Emblem all inclusive package... So far all I can work out that it actually includes is 4 Bali beds by the pool that are always fully booked, some mini rituals toiletries and a bluetooth speaker in the room.
Called up for a baby bath as their is only a shower on the room, 15 euros for a plastic baby bath for the baby for a week! Something that should be absolutely included in a family room that you have spent over 3k for a week for!
Really do not recommend. The all inclusive buffet is a good offering but the wine and cocktails are vile. Local cheap liquor and syrupy long life juices. The juice at breakfast is not real orange juice but some watered down orange squash. Luckily we have a fridge in our room to go to the supermarket and buy our drinks. I think to charge for a premium 'emblem' service you have to deliver more then this.
We spent a week in the La Pinta Costa Adeje the week before and would 100% return there. We will 100% not be coming back to the Cristobal.

We stayed here with a 15M old baby in the first two weeks of May. The complex is nice with cute houses and a private terrace. The food was good with plenty of options. The staff was very friendly. Our baby enjoyed the playground and mini disco a lot. Overal we enjoyed our holiday but we also had some comments to take into account: 1. Reception was very slow during our stay. 2. The complex is located in the main party area across from the Irish bar. The area was trashy and not kids friendly. 3. In the evening it was quite loud with the complex’ entertainment until 22hr and afterwards the sounds from live music at the Irish bar. 4. Although the hotel is very kids friendly it also accepted groups of English guys on a bachelor party. This was weird and did not fit the crowd.

Lovely Staff and Great for Kids, But Some Concerns.
We stayed at HD Parque Cristóbal Tenerife for 5 nights in May 2026.
First impressions of the hotel were positive. The lobby is pleasant and welcoming, although parents with pushchairs or wheelchair users should be aware that access is via a side entrance that requires a wristband fob to open. This really should be made clearer at the main entrance, especially after a long journey in the Tenerife heat.
We chose this hotel based on the positive reviews, proximity to the airport, and location near the beach. Overall, the facilities are very good. The 2-bedroom bungalow apartments are spacious, clean, and include a decent kitchenette. The housekeeping staff deserve special mention, they were excellent, friendly, and consistently helpful throughout our stay.
The hotel itself has two restaurants, although most guests seem to use the main restaurant regardless of board type. The food selection was varied and catered to different tastes buffet-style. While nothing was particularly memorable, the breakfast omelettes were fantastic, shoutout to Anna, the breakfast chef, who made some of the best omelettes we’ve had.
The pools are a good size, including a smaller children’s pool that worked well for younger kids. The larger pool also has slides and football goals, which added a lot of fun for families. The kids’ entertainment was another highlight. Both the TUI-run and hotel-run kids’ clubs were excellent, with daily kids’ discos (except Saturdays). The staff were warm, energetic, and great with children, our girls absolutely loved it. The onsite playground was also a lifesaver before bedtime or after meals.
The hotel is located on a lively strip with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which is useful if you’re staying half board and want additional dining options.
The staff overall were genuinely friendly and welcoming and clearly wanted guests to enjoy their stay. We did experience a cockroach incident , we found one on our headboard but reception handled the situation very professionally and moved us to another room quickly.
That said, there were a few downsides.
One personal gripe was that after changing rooms due to the cockroach incident, we still had to move all our luggage ourselves. Some may see that as minor, but when travelling with young children after an inconvenience, small gestures can make a big difference between an average and excellent experience.
Another issue, and one that may concern parents, was that the bungalow doors do not lock from the inside. We were told this is due to emergency regulations, although I couldn’t find confirmation of this. It felt quite uncomfortable knowing there was no additional internal lock for privacy or security, especially with young children who could potentially open the door themselves.
Lastly, if you stay half board, you’ll need to pay for drinks at dinner, including soft drinks. Personally, I found this disappointing given the climate and the fact that these aren’t alcoholic beverages. The hotel even offers a credit account setup through reception to charge drinks to your room, which felt a bit excessive for basic refreshments.
Overall, though, it’s important to remember this is a 3-star hotel, and in my opinion, that rating is fair. The staff and overall family experience were genuinely very good, and despite a few frustrating points, it really does feel like a home away from home. Families with young children will likely have a great time here. That said, due to the room lock situation and because we’d likely explore other options offering better value for money, we personally probably wouldn’t return.

There was an electrical fault in our apartment that could not be fixed within five days - All the electricity went out. The fridge melted on the floor and we were left in the dark - After all this, we were later told that there would be no compensation for spoiled food, we had to prove the situation by taking pictures of the spoiled and thrown away food. As compensation, the hotel offered us both one free meal. We did not agree to this. After this, they offered us three meals as compensation.
We got the room changed intact and moved our belongings. We asked for help with this. The hotel representative said that we are not a five star hotel, we are a four-star. No kind of welcome was possible - The hotel representative said that he had no authority to advise.
The pool bar billing does not work even if you open an account, pay in advance and remind us when you order - It should sort out its own problems, they randomly run around asking the customer at the information desk whenever they want.
The shower drain was blocked - It was nice to come back to a hot apartment where the ventilation was broken and the smell of the sewer had spread.
+ No need to go again
