PLEASE READ....first I want to say reading some of the reviews I very nearly cancelled my girls holiday...I was so worried about what people were saying but we went anyway & we had a blast...
Please remember this isnt a 5 star hotel so dont go expecting 5 star...
You get a very decent amount for 3 star 🌟
We came for 4 nights 4 girls...our room was pretty small. We were all inclusive & we had room only this was a double bed with a sofa bed made into a double. I would have preferred 2 beds but we managed. The shower spills over the side causing the floor to be wet & it takes literally a day to dry. These are the only things I would change with the hotel (maybe bettet prepared food for snack bar)
Anyway, we want to say please DO NOT be worried...the location is great & a 20 min walk to the harbour for boat trips with plenty of bars, restaurants & shops.
Breakfast was plentiful & so was lunch & evening meal..everything was fresh & the food temperature was good. There is a huge selection & something for everyone id say ( unless you're extremely fussy)
The event staff were amazing 👏 very encouraging & so funny, lovely to chat too & they bring a lovely vibe to the pool area.
I read some reviews about how little they did for children, people need to remember you are responsible for your child theie activities are put on for your child to have some extra fun they aren't there to make your child's holiday. As a parent that is your responsibility..
There is a token for your cups of all inclusive which is becoming more & more common i personally dont mind it but wish theyd be a bit bigger. I think the queues would definitely be less.
There can be queues at the pool bar but they do go down quickly we never waited more than 10 mins even at its busiest time. Although you can judge when its going down then join.
There are plenty of sun loungers...we didnt arrive until 4pm on our first day but we still managed to get one. Its important for me to have my time on a sun lounger so this was perfect.
The pools are lovely, the evening entertainment wasn't something we used so cant comment.
If you are a light sleeper I dont recommend here...the front of your apartment ( most of them) leads to the main road & between 2am/3am dust bin lorries came & it was noisy. It woke me up every night but another person with us didnt wake at all. I am such a light sleeper so bare this in mind...
I would definitely come back again. I absolutely loved it...
Carlos in the bar is lovely & friendly & was talking about when he came to England & davide in entertainment was lovely, nicknamed our friend Kelly loser & use the spice girls such a laugh. They definitely deserve recognition for their efforts to keep us entertained.
The hotel is clean. Staff are cleaning day & night. The kitchen area is clean..there wasnt anything I thought was bad...

I would rate the hotel 3.5/5.
The rooms were decent, although it’s clear that a small renovation would be beneficial. We had a room without a balcony, which was perfectly sufficient for someone who doesn’t plan to spend the whole vacation in the hotel.
There were daily entertainment activities, but at times it felt a bit too loud.
The food was excellent — you could really see the passion and effort the chefs put into preparing the dishes. Every day offered something different, such as Italian cuisine, Asian dishes, or seafood.
The hotel has a good location, close to the beautiful Los Gigantes.
The reception staff were helpful.
However, we had one unpleasant experience at the bar. After returning from an exhausting trip, we wanted to get something to drink, but we didn’t have our reusable cups with us. The bartender raised his voice and told me that this would be the last time he gave me a drink in a paper cup. It was our first time in this situation, and nobody had informed us earlier that a special token was required to exchange for the cups.
So, if you return tired from a long excursion, you first need to go all the way up to the 5 top floor to get the cups and only then come back down to the bar. On top of that, he asked whether I even had an all-inclusive wristband — yes, I had been wearing it for seven days already. It felt quite humiliating.

This is a great place to take your kids. The hotel is kitted out in their favour. The rooms are clean but dated and sparse. Three of us booked a two room apartment and the third bed was the most uncomfortable sofa pull out in existence. The main beds were great. There was only seating for two on the balcony and the Aircon was definitely in need of a service as it only partially worked.
The pools were great sized and worked out well for the kids. There was a lack of parasols (25 for over 100 sun loungers I counted!) which ment an early rise to reserve one and sun loungers. The evening entertainment was good but not special and the quiz didn't happen.
The staff were great and looked after us really well. They all had a smile and were extremely polite.
The food was exactly what you expected and did not disappoint. The quality and variety was spot on considering it was mass catering.
The only downside on the whole trip was that the bottom of the pool had several sharp tiles that left the kids toes bleeding. The staff were great at finding plasters and were genuinely upset to see the issue.
Overall we loved our holiday and would recommend the hotel to friends and family. (Pool shoes required!)

We had a really enjoyable week at Tomaimo Tropical Hotel overall, and there were plenty of positives that made our holiday special.
That said, I do feel the hotel would benefit from being adults-only, or at least making some improvements for families. During our stay, we witnessed several fights, which wasn’t the atmosphere we were expecting. If the hotel is aimed at families with children, the food options could also be much better. At lunch and dinner, there was very little choice for fussy eaters. Chips were available, but there wasn’t much to go with them. The snack bar served chicken nuggets, so it would make sense to offer these at dinner too, as many children would enjoy them.
Another disappointment was the coffee at breakfast. It was almost impossible to get a decent cup, which was frustrating first thing in the morning.
However, the entertainment team completely made our holiday. Their energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care were incredible, and they gave 100% every single day. They created so many wonderful memories for both me and my daughter, and they are the main reason we’ll look back on our stay so fondly. They are a real credit to the hotel.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday, but with some improvements to the family dining options and atmosphere, the hotel could be even better.

The hotel overall was great for our short stay. We booked a family room which has two separate bedrooms. The room was very spacious, both the bedrooms were a good size and had a large sitting area.
The rooms did seem to be slightly dated, we had a leaking toilet on arrival however maintenance attended the next day and fitted a brand new toilet.
There were a few cracked tiles around the room and a loose one in the bedroom which added the the sence of tiredness.
Overall the size of the room was great and was reasonably clean, as long and you didn't look too deeply.
The weather was not great but I understand this is due to the time of the year and not the fault of the hotel. The only issue this brought was there was nowhere in the hotel to sit inside of an evening. The only place available was the small indoor space where the entertainment was on. The lobby bar was shut and signs on the tables saying you can't eat or drink in the lobby. My only observation would be if you are going to open at a time when the weather can be sub optimal then there should be some alternative to sitting outside in the evening.
Food was plentiful and restocked regularly. The staff managed the main restaurant so it never felt overcrowded which was good.
In terms of location there were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and places to walk by the sea. There was a beach about a 10 minute walk and you were close to bus stops and taxi ranks if you wanted to venture further.
Overall, nice basic hotel with friendly staff, ideal for a short getaway.
