I stayed at the Aqualuz Lagos for three nights from July 1 - July 4. The air conditioning was completely out of service in our 2 bedroom suite. Maintenance checked it out and determined that it needed a major repair. This was during a heat wave, so we were moved to a smaller room for one night. That smaller room's a/c was also not working correctly. It at least turned on, which was an improvement, but it just blew room temperature air, not cold air. For our third and final night, they finally were able to get us into a different 2 bedroom suite with functioning a/c. This seemed to be a pervasive problem, as I overheard two other guests complain to the front desk about their air conditioning not working.
When checking out I was told that we would receive a refund to the credit card on file to compensate us for staying one night in a room smaller than the one we paid for. I would also expect a four star hotel to comp a room without air conditioning during a heat wave. Despite multiple follow-up emails, and over a month's time passing, this refund has not yet been issued. Not a great sign of their level of customer service.

We had a really great stay at the Aqualuz. Breakfast was fresh with lots of options. Facilities were great (especially the fitness club). The self service laundry would have been nice but both washing machines were out of order when I went to use them. What I did notice is that many guests ‘reserve’ pool loungers in the morning by placing down their towel, then the seats go vacant for most of the day until those who reserved them decide to sit down. This results in the majority of the loungers being ‘reserved’ even though nobody is using them. It would be great if the hotel could be proactive against this by stating a firm first come first serve policy. That’s my only concern. Otherwise great hotel option! Great location!

Just got back from a family holiday here. Great hotel, ticks all the boxes. Lovely clean rooms, huge swimming pool, nice selection of breakfast items and great location. But most of all, the staff were just brilliant. Room was cleaned each day, restaurant and bar staff were all lovely and most of all, reception staff were SO helpful and kind. They even helped to arrange a taxi with a child's car seat provided so we could take our son to Lagos zoo (we weren't renting a car and buses are not very frequent). There is a self-service laundry on-site which was not cheap but the machines are have a pretty huge capacity. The kids' club wasn't up and running when we went - I think this is high season only?
Anyway - I would definitely come back to this hotel with my family, and would 100% recommend it to my friends and relatives.

We spent four days here and it was a great time. We had breakfast included which was always good and filling. Watch out for the seagulls, they like to take your food when you're away from your table. It was great to spend time by the pool after spending the whole day away from the hotel. The rooms are great and had English channels! Would come back here again for sure the next time we come back to Lagos.

Beautiful place. Spacious rooms. Plenty of amenities with a wide variety of breakfast in the morning. The staff were lovely.
The only con is that the place is large, and it is easy to get lost. Difficult to find your way around. Our room was quite a bit away from the reception area, which we had to go to several times to get a new room key since ours kept having issues.
