Rooms were a bit tired, but generally ok. Although I didn't see the need for the bath, when other than letting the shower fill the bath.....!!, there was no to run a bath!
Cleaners only worked 5 days a week and whilst the beds were made up / changed on those days, the rest of apartment was only superficially cleaned (kitchen work surfaces, crockery and utensils weren't cleaned (to be fair, the cleaners usually came late afternoon, by which time, we cleaned up anyway!). Our co-traveller was often left without enough 'bathroom linen'!
WiFi was only free in the pool area, but wasn't great. You had to 'pay' for WiFi in the rooms (not good in this day and age!)
Pool area was kept clean and mostly well managed (there was still 'towel bagging'), although having to pay €3 per day for a sun lounger 'mattress' was daylight robbery (Tip, if you're there for a week or more, seek out the nearby 'Chinese' supermarket and buy your own for €15 - €25 depending on quality!).
Would we go again...? Yes, but only if we couldn't find somewhere nearby in the same area!

Ignore the expensive nightly rate advertised.
We stayed (Feb '26) as part of a package holiday and found Aguamar to be fair value for money. Check-in was good, via friendly and knowledgeable front desk. Our room was ok, a bit tired looking in places but everything worked. However, the pull out sofa bed was uncomfortable, it desperately needed a mattress "topper." No aircon!! Just a ceiling fan. Not a prob in Feb but July? Portable aircon units can be hired locally but check with reception. Pool area spotless, cleaned every morning but be aware flooring is VERY slippery. Sun loungers free but 3 euro a day for mattresses. Free WiFi only around reception and pool bar otherwise paid for WiFi is relatively expensive. Aguamar isn't isolated, there's plenty of supermarkets close by for those self catering and some excellent places to eat out nearby. On balance, I'd be more happy to go back to Aguamar. I think it's honest and good value, just be aware of "extras."

Good sized apartments and unobtrusive staff. There are many bars and restaurants nearby so we don't eat here, stay room only. About a mile downhill to beach and half a mile to town centre. Taxi prices are reasonable so don't use Uber as more expensive.

Enjoyed this hotel. Nice vibe. Staff really helpful and friendly..Aggy on desk really good and approachable. Good skills. Pool.good. no air con but strong fans..pleasant spaces and nice vibe throughout. Bar and restaurant good standard but eat no food there. No complications or hidden charges..would stay again..15 mins stroll to beach.location ok but would prefer closer to beach next time. Plenty of things around. Not a bad place at all..super good value. One point was no shower gel etc or refillable in room. Did get a cleaning pack of teatowel and new dish clothes and washing liquid etc but some even small shower gels just in case would be a good idea. Cheers

This hotel has to be my worst ive stayed at and wouldn't return. The lifeguard needs to learn some manners and actually watch what is going on in the pool. the hotel seems to only have one Iron so when you take it they are ringing for it back twenty minutes later and then lecture you everytime you drop it back off. No aircon so the rooms get VERY HOT. cleaners do a great job cleaning the rooms. its a race for sun loungers and they dont get put out until 10:00am and recovered by 5:30pm and chained back up again. Also you are charged for wifi in your room unless you can get a chair round the bar and then its free.
