If you are looking for a resort with a long white sandy beach, then this review may not be for you. However, if you want to know what makes Occidental Costa Cancún a great place to stay, keep reading.
One of the things I appreciated most was their flexibility with arrival and departure times. We arrived early in the morning, well before the official check-in time. Instead of waiting around, the resort gave us full access to all the facilities. Since we had booked the all-inclusive package, we were able to enjoy the restaurants, pools, beach area, drinks, and all other amenities while waiting for our room to be ready at 3:00 PM.
The same excellent service applied on our departure day. Although we had to check out of our room at 11:00 AM, we were allowed to continue using the all-inclusive facilities until 2:00 PM. After that, we could still stay and enjoy the resort’s common areas until our late flight, which made our last day much more comfortable and stress-free.
The resort itself was very clean and well maintained. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety and quality that often felt more like dining in a good restaurant than a typical all-inclusive buffet. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The excellent service, flexibility, cleanliness, food quality, and welcoming atmosphere made this a great vacation experience. I would definitely recommend Occidental Costa Cancún to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Cancún.

For almost half of the price of other all inclusives that we were quoted by our travel agent, this resort was “good enough”. We have been to many 5 star resorts and this wasn’t too far off besides some missing amenities (not much for kids to do) The resort is small but nice and clean. Food options are limited but sufficient. We all stuck to fully cooked foods and none of us got sick in our immediate family. I would suggest more traditional Mexican food as we missed proper tacos and had to find these off resort. The staff was very helpful with my celiac dietary restrictions as well. The resort is right off a nice walking trail and next to the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Great trip overall!

We had a great time here overall. The pool and the beach were great. The food was consistently good across the resort. The staff was fantastic and always willing to help. We had some issues with the rooms and had to be relocated twice. However, they handled it professionally despite a few issues. The rooms are outdated and with maintenance issues, at least the ones I saw. I would stay again here as long as prices are competitive.

The hotel surpassed all our expectations. This was my second time staying but the first with my family group of 12. From before we arrived i was in contact with Monica from guest services to help organise and coordinate a 70th Birthday. Monica responded promptly to all my requests and met us on arrival to run through all the arrangements. She made herself available throughout our whole stay and we are very appreciative of her professionalism and customer care, going well beyond her regular duties to ensure that we had a great stay.
The Hotel was immaculate. We had sea front rooms that made our stay feel like a luxury hotel experience, waking up to sunrises over the ocean. The Food was fantastic in all the resturants and the entertainment throughout the day was well organised.
Every-one in the group was very pleased and satisfied with the services at this hotel and we look forward to returning here in the near future. Special thanks from all of us must go to Laura Mendes at the hotel reception. From check in to check out and everything in between, she really took care of our group and we truely appreciated it, especially as we had a disabled person with special requirements. All the staff at this hotel work tirelessly to take care of their guests and it made our stay feel like home away from home. Thank you Occidential Costa Cancun. You exceeded all our expectations.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel for two weeks, and the experience was nothing short of excellent from start to finish.
The rooms were absolutely consistently clean, totally comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, making it easy to settle in and feel at home for an extended stay. The staff across all departments were really professional, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. Super professional as well.
A special mention must go to Osvaldo, the chef, and Emmanuel, the chef supervisor, who truly elevated the entire experience. His leadership in the restaurants is clearly reflected in the quality, consistency, and creativity of the meals. Every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, and it was evident that tgey takes great pride in both his craft and his team. Osvaldo's and Emmanuel’s presence made dining at the hotel a highlight of each day.
Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I would gladly return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, quality service, and outstanding food.
