I love my room. Everything is very clean on the resort. Abraham and the team at the Steakville restaurant provided excellent service, and the food ordered by our family tonight was all delicious and expertly prepared. The cleaning, maintenance, kitchen, bar and creperie staff all have been working tirelessly and are definitely appreciated. We are part way through our stay and are happy to have lots of days left. The only downsides are the seaweed that apparently blew in the day before we arrived (which the maintenance team has been working on constantly - it seemed management could come up with a more efficient method of clean up), the red flag posted even in calm conditions (which apparently prevents them from lending out the snorkels and flippers) and the towel service having limited hours during the times we wanted to swim (especially on the first day we arrived.)

We had an incredible dining experience tonight, and a huge part of that was thanks to Daniel and Rosa! From the moment we sat down, Daniel's warm and personable nature made us feel right at home. His cooking was absolutely outstanding — every dish was crafted with care and
skill. Daniel is a true gem, and we'll definitely be coming back because of him. If you're lucky enough to have him cook for you, you're in for a real treat! Felipe is the Best!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort & Spa and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and offers a perfect balance of relaxation and fun. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pools and beach areas were fantastic, and there was always something to do. The food options were varied and delicious, and the overall atmosphere made our vacation truly memorable.
A special shout-out to Ivan at the Steakhouse/ Snack Bar for his outstanding service. Ivan was attentive, friendly, and professional, and he went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. His positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service like his is what makes a great resort even better. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!

Our trip to México was amazing. As always, the best thing was the people…so nice and with a daily smile. The animation team is the best ever and the restaurants have a wonderful service. A big thank you to Maria, from Amari; Carlos from Catalonia Burguers and Carlos from Toscana ❤️ Overall, the hotel is very good with a great beach area. With Love ❤️

Deeply disappointed with our stay, especially considering we were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary.
A week before our arrival, I contacted the hotel asking for help booking an anniversary dinner. Instead of offering any assistance or even suggesting their romantic or lobster dinner options, I was told they "couldn't help without a room number" and that I should try once we arrived “based on availability.” Basically, I was brushed off.
Fast forward to check‑in on Thursday (2/25): nothing was available until Sunday. The front desk’s answer? "Use the app." No alternatives, no effort, no hospitality. It was honestly the most unwelcoming check‑in we’ve ever experienced.
Later, someone finally offered us a 6 p.m. reservation at the Italian restaurant, which we appreciated — but still no recognition of our anniversary. Not even a simple “congratulations,” let alone a celebratory gesture like a flute of champagne. For a resort that claims to care about guests, it was shocking how indifferent everyone seemed.
Another major issue: we arrived at 3:30 p.m. hungry, having not eaten lunch. We were told everything was closed until 6 p.m. When I asked if we had to leave the resort to get food, the staff member literally shrugged and said it was a 10‑minute walk. No recommendations, no direction — nothing. At an all‑inclusive resort, we couldn’t get food for 2.5 hours. Unbelievable.
And it didn’t stop there. On Saturday, we decided to book the lobster dinner and were sent to the Customer Service booth. The gentleman there didn’t even attempt to help — he immediately told me to “use the app.” So I sat in front of his desk struggling to poke around my phone (which I don’t see well), feeling frustrated and ignored. Only when I told him I couldn’t find the lobster option did he finally start doing something on his computer. The attitude was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful — absolutely not what you expect from a “customer service” representative.
Overall, our experience was unwelcoming, indifferent, and far below the level of service we expected, especially for such an important occasion. What should have been a joyful celebration was tainted by poor communication, lack of care, and staff who simply did not seem to want to help.
I truly hope the hotel takes these issues seriously because no guest — let alone one celebrating a milestone — deserves to feel this dismissed.
