We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort & Spa and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and offers a perfect balance of relaxation and fun. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the pools and beach areas were fantastic, and there was always something to do. The food options were varied and delicious, and the overall atmosphere made our vacation truly memorable.
A special shout-out to Ivan at the Steakhouse/ Snack Bar for his outstanding service. Ivan was attentive, friendly, and professional, and he went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. His positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service like his is what makes a great resort even better. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future!

Wonderful experience at the hotel between Christmas and New Year's Eve 2025. Hotel was fairly clean and service with the privileged package was really nice. I would recommend the privileged package as the a la carte restaurants exclusive to that package were really good.
My children participated in the kids club with Sol and it was great. Geared perfectly to my daughters age which was 6 turning 7. My son at 10 still had fun but I think maybe the activities were geared more towards younger kids which is understandable.
Service was generally good at the hotel as they offered us a temporary room on the date of checkout to give us a few extra hours at the resort.
Good quality food in my opinion. Overall the resort was really good from a value perspective.

The animation team was very good and entertaining. Marlen, Irving ,Lupita Arturo have very good skills in keeping the crowd active and entertained. A lot of activities are planned and they take care of their staff as well. The hotel itself is pretty well maintained. We had the privilege room which was more modernized. The room had ac which worked well and includes a fridge stocked with cold drinks such as 7up coke etc that is refuelled everyday by the cleaning staff. There is also a safe in the room if you want to keep your valuables away. The bathroom is very clean and big. The shower is spacious and has both a rain waterfall shower head and the normal shower head. The food is okay, I don’t know why people are expecting gourmet food. There’s pasta, soup, pizza, tacos etc. And if you’re really tired of the food, the hotel is located near this cute little area where you can see dolphins, a lot of restaurants, a lot of tourism. There’s the marina and a bunch of stuff to do around, you can swim with dolphins .You can rent a golf cart and drive around (not in the hotel but third party businesses). We went to the monkey sanctuary and the ride was organized. The workers at the lobby do a great job at redirecting people. When you first come in they are very welcoming and bring you a nice glass of juice. For the people complaining of the beach.. it’s not that bad. My partner and I aren’t afraid of a little bit of rocks and went in and snorkeling. Bring water shoes if you’re afraid. They give massages on the beach. They have a lot of entertaining activities throughout the day like aquatic Zumba, volleyball, live music etc. Even for kids, they have a lot of things and activities and the entertainers are very welcoming. We assisted their theatre every show they had and we loved it. I have attached pictures from our trip below for anybody interested.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless and felt newly renovated, which made it very comfortable. The food was excellent, both at the buffets and the specialty restaurants. All the staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful. The servers truly went out of their way to make our meals enjoyable, especially Rosa at Ayami Wok, who provided outstanding service (unfortunately, I don’t remember the names of the others, but everyone did an excellent job).
One of the highlights was swimming with tropical fish right at the resort’s beach, an unforgettable experience. Special thanks to Frida for arranging an early check-in, which made our arrival even better. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and a place we would happily return to.

We had a very nice massage at the Alegria spa, our masseuse Onelia, did a fantastic job! She made us feel right at peace with her magical hands! Would definitely recommend booking with her!
As far as the restaurant experience,Santiago and David went above and beyond to provide my wife and I with a very memorable experience. The attention, celerity of service, and kindness shown to us was top notch. Catalonia Riviera Maya has some true gems on their staff. Thank you again for a wonderful evening at Steakville.
Alebrijes- was a very fun experience! Mauricio made us feel right at home! I highly recommend the corn cake dessert! Was the best treat of the trip!
