We just returned from an amazing week at this beautiful resort. We met so many wonderful people, but the staff truly stood out. Arbey and the rest of the events team, including JD, Diego, and Mili, were exceptional. Arbey went above and beyond, making our vacation feel truly special and memorable. The events team kept us engaged and entertained by the pool and beach, ensuring each day was a blast. The resort was the perfect size, never feeling crowded. The food was delicious, and we always found something tasty to enjoy. The oriental hibachi restaurant was our favourite à la cart dinner option, which was very entertaining and delicious.

We stayed with the premium package. The poolside service at the premium pool was not great this year compared to 4 years ago when Henri waited on us. We were only waited on poolside a couple times, until we left the premium pool and went to the main pool with the swim up bar and went were waited on consistently by a nice lady named Dana. The food on the resort is very mid, nothing spectacular. Having a buffet is nice, the food at the flat top in the back of the buffet is very good. We had the Italian restaurant experience and it was only okay. If you want great Mexican food, go across the street to iguanas. Amazing service, very good tacos, quesadillas, fajitas, etc. We celebrated a birthday here this week and Arbey went above and beyond to make it a special night for our birthday girl and even went and bought a cake with his own time and money. We remember Arbey from our first time here, and he is such a bright person and friendly face. We can’t wait to see him again. He is also a very great entertainer and has amazing energy. The over all stay is amazing. The beach is beautiful. The rooms are clean and neat and every employee I encountered is friendly and happy.

We recently stayed at the resort and overall had a nice, family-friendly experience with a few areas that could be improved to make it even better. One of the biggest highlights of our trip was the entertainment, especially Diego. He truly made the stay memorable. Diego brought great energy every day, made everyone feel included, and created a fun atmosphere for both kids and adults. His activities were engaging and family-friendly, and you could tell he genuinely cared about guests having a good time. He was a major part of why our trip felt enjoyable and welcoming. The entertainment overall was good, though we would have loved a bit more upbeat party-style music mixed in. There was a lot of relaxing reggae, which was nice at times, but adding more variety and higher-energy music could enhance the atmosphere, especially in the evenings. The pool area was fun, and we appreciated having slides, but it would be great if there were options for adults as well. We found ourselves using the kids’ slide daily because it was the only real option, and it ended up being a lot of fun. Having a designated adult slide would make the experience even better. One thing we did miss was poolside food service — being able to grab something quick without leaving the pool area would be a big improvement. Food was decent overall, but there is room for growth. The buffet was okay, though the variety felt a bit limited after a few days. Since the other restaurants require reservations, it wasn’t always easy to switch things up. Also, better translation on the buffet signs and menus would be very helpful so guests know exactly what they’re choosing. Adding temperature indicators for the different salsas (mild, medium, hot) would also be a great touch. And for those of us who love it, having salsa and guacamole available more consistently would be a big plus. A few room-related details stood out as well. The shower had a half-glass panel, which allowed water to spill out onto the bathroom floor while showering. A fuller enclosure would help prevent that. We also noticed there was no room service available, which would have been convenient, especially for families or late evenings. Overall, we had a positive stay and made some great memories. The staff, especially Diego, really helped make the experience special and welcoming for families. With a few small improvements in food variety, signage, poolside service, and music variety, this resort could easily move from good to great.

We had the most amazing stay with a group of 14 at Allegro Cozumel. We were incredibly impressed with the cleanliness of the resort. There was always somebody sweeping something, washing something, cleaning the pool or cleaning up the beach. We felt so safe there and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Like many all inclusives the buffet food got a little repetitive after a few days but we had an incredible meals at the Oriental and Italian restaurants. Daily entertainment was fun. Diego and JD were amazing!! so friendly and showed great interest in getting to know guests and make sure that everyone was having a great week! Outside of the resort, Cozumel was amazing. Although we had a bit of a bump at Señor frogs on a day out when one of our group got food poisoning from a drink. Transportation was amazing, Island Jeep tour was amazing and they picked us up right at Allegro.

We came down to stay at Allegro Resort for the first time, with our kids and our parents. We've been here for 9 days so far and wow - we LOVE IT!! We were nervous after booking our trip because since booking have seen lots of negative reviews - which is why I am sharing this now. Let's start with the food. This is honestly the BEST food we've had at any all inclusive we've been at before. Our kids are 7 and 8, and they were very happy with the food, and us adults were pleased as well. We went to the Oriental a-la-carte twice, and it was incredible as well! I'm not sure why people are so negative about the food here - I'm assuming they're mostly extremely picky eaters or unhappy with most dining experiences in general. Don't listen to the bad reviews when it comes to the food. The beach - WOW!!!!!! It feels like paradise. Every time I enter the water I feel extreme gratefulness and I'm in awe of how clear the water is. The sand is beautiful, and the ocean floor when entering the water is sandy - we never had to use our water shoes. You could see so clearly - you never had to worry about stepping on anything dangerous etc. Usually when we go to a resort we only spend a day or two at the beach - but this trip we find ourselves at the beach every single day. The beach was awesome for snorkelling as well. My kids never got bored there. Itzel was the server who walked the beach everyday that we were here and she is the best!! She made sure everyone had a drink at all times! Speaking of the Staff - everyone has been incredible. Very kind, personable, and some even remembered our names! From the bartenders to the servers, groundsmen, housekeepers, cooks, entertainers, you name it - all of the staff here are 10/10. The only negative I'd say about the resort is that the rooms are quite small, and there is a lack of dressers / shelves to unpack and keep things organized. However, it did not ruin our vacation at all. We did not upgrade our room at all - I am not sure if the upgraded rooms have dressers etc to rectify that minor problem. We would absolutely stay here again. What a perfect trip we've had. ALSO special mention - Go to Alberto's (3 min away) for the best night ever!! 🤣🤣 Bring your Advil and water bottle for the following day lol.
