We've just come back from a week over Christmas at this lovely hotel. The rooms are a great size very comfortable and there are so many different spaces, games room, large room with sofas overlooking the sea, a bar and also a variety of outdoor seating.
The meals were varied and tasty and Christmas Dinner was a real treat. We travel with a wheelchair and we could access all areas of the hotel and easily get to the Broadway that runs across the seafront. We didn't have a specific accessible room but we brought a suction hand rail with us that we could easily use in the shower and by the loo
The staff are really friendly and helpful and the hotel is kept beautifully clean. Thank you to you all amd we'll definitely come back.

Right away Jet2 staff are at Faro to reassure you and get you to your transport to your hotel. The booking in is not long and then straight to your room. The rooms are traditionally decorated, very clean. Beds are super comfy. If you are lucky enough to have a sea view it's just beautiful. There's boardwalks from the hotel to the beach, a 2 minute walk. The beach stretches for miles, all sand. The staff are very helpfull most of who speak some English. The way they keep this hotel is absolutely spotless. Bedding changed regularly, towels changed daily. In the restaurant there are plenty of choices to make sure you have a nice meal. We have been coming here for about seven years and we wouldn't change a thing. Well maybe the salt sellers, that's not an issue at all really. My partner says they should put more salt in them.

First stay in Vasco Da Gama, 4th stay in Monte Gordo. We loved it & are returning next Easter. Great welcome on check in lovely staff, hotel & room spotless, food was good, we were Full Board & maybe the only couple that were, we had a green wrist band, never saw anyone else with that colour. The restaurant obviously wasn't open just for us so we ate at the pool bar, we could choose anything we wanted from the menu, we were well fed. There was a lift over in the corner where you checked in to take you down to the restaurant/pool area, for anyone with walking difficulties. Towels €20pp refundable deposit. We left the hotel early in the morning so we received a packed breakfast. Ask at reception the day before & it gets taken to your room on the evening, we just popped it in the fridge. TV with English channels, Portuguese subtitles, BBC news, Sky news. The wardrobes must be the original ones from 1960, but did the job. Bed was so comfy with a modern headboard, immaculate bedding, luxury toiletries provided, hand wash, body lotion, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. Lovely white towels, a slip mat for the shower. We had an over the bath shower but have requested a walk in for our next visit as it's easier access for my partner.
We had a brilliant time. Monte Gordo triathlon was a big bonus.

Arrived yesterday for a four week winter stay.weather was dull and a bit wet
Hotel reception area looks a bit worn but that I feel is down to the dark wood used , probably authentic Portuguese, passage ways fel a bit in need of an uplift but otherwise that's it.
The rooms are really comfortable and well appointed for your needs .
Bed is comfortable and warm.
Dining room is nice size and selection of food is more than good , something for everyone.
Entertainment in the bar/ lounge was quite goid and it's a cosy place to just sit and relax , people watch , chat and enjoy what's going on.
Staff are very nice and very helpful indeed and service is second to none
I had one query and it was sorted within 3 minutes, literally, well done to them.
I'm looking forward to the next few weeks of just rest and relaxation
