Right bang in the middle of the New town. I was a bit apprehensive about coming here after reading the reviews but it's not that bad, the hotel is clean and tidy, the food (breakfast) was decent enough, no complaints from me. The rooms are a bit dated we had a pool view which was a relief as the rooms facing the main strip will be very noisy. Pool are was nice enough to chill except its expansive at the bar. €5 a pint €11 for a vodka slush. Over the road there are bars which are only €2-3 a pint during the day. They double after about 5pm. The staff were OK, I imagine they put up with a lot of crap from drunk tourists, there quite tolerant but once you cross the line your kicked out. There's a police presence right outside the hotel every night so they are quick to respond to any shit. There was no aircon in our room and I had the noisiest bed so if your in 338 avoid the bed neatest the exit. Overall not that bad. I was there with over 30 men for a 50th. There was about 4 big groups of men and a few couples. Uber taxi to the old town which I preferred was only €4 regular taxi back was €7. Food in Grill en Oven about 100 yards up the road to the left was fantastic.

Having read other reviews I was aware of the noise and how rowdy some of the guests can get. This was as expected and didn't bother me. The most disappointing was the A/C that didn't work. Reception sent a maintenance tech who fiddled with the AC buttons and poked the vents with a screwdriver for 2 minutes. He smiled and said 10min it will be cold. "Really" I said. He smiled and walked out. 1 hour later the room was still red hot. So I went back to reception where the manager confessed they had several rooms with old NG AC. They didn't have another room to put me in and the best he could do was give me a fan, when they arrived. With little choice I agreed. A day and a half later still no fan I had to ask before I eventually got one. If this hotel has a big refurbishment I'd probably give it another chance.

Big portions for dinner, not the best food but it is filling. Continental beakfast is nice.
Drinks are the same price as in ireland which i think is a bit rich and come in plastic cups. That said I have seen some customers drop their glasses / bottles by the pool so maybe it is for the best that they are plastic.
Staff arent the most friendly but given the antics that happen here, I dont blame them.
Falsely states that there is a tennis court and games room (they exist but we are not allowed use them for some reason).
All and all i would reccomend here is you want to be close to the strip and want a great pool.

The hotel staff were very unfriendly especially the bald guy with the beard who was constantly aggressive. They tried to charge me extra wherever possible. The breakfast wasn’t very good but at least it was included. I have never experienced worse air conditioning. Only good thing really is the location.

Sam Watson just upset they wouldn't let a old money dutchman rodger him. Its on the strip, cheese is good, pool is good and awesome shop over the road. Only complaint is your not allowed to hold open the emergency exit with your spare super bock.
