We absolutely loved our holiday The foam party was amazing and the entertainment team was outstanding. The bar staff were fantastic, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Nitto for all the support and dedication. It truly made our holiday unforgettable. Thank you so much

This is a 3-star hotel, so we didn't have particularly high expectations. The rooms were quite basic and a little worn, but they were clean. Housekeeping was done every day.
When we arrived, I was pleased to see signs stating that reserving sunbeds by the pool was not allowed. Unfortunately, this rule was never enforced. Nobody removed towels, and by lunchtime it was almost impossible to find a free sunbed.
The wellness area was out of service, or at least that's how it seemed. We tried to visit four times during our stay, but never found any staff there.
The food was decent. As in most hotels, the menu became repetitive, which is fairly normal. Our biggest disappointment was the almost complete lack of seafood. During the entire stay, there were fried calamari rings once and a risotto with something described as "seafood mix," although I honestly couldn't tell what it contained. There were no mussels, prawns, octopus, or other typical seafood dishes. On the other hand, there were plenty of hamburgers, breaded fried fish, French fries, and similar food every day.
The afternoon snack by the pool was good – coffee, biscuits, packaged ice creams, slushies, and similar refreshments. We really have no complaints about that.
We had hoped that, since there were no water slides or other attractions for children, the hotel would be quieter. Unfortunately, we were wrong. The beach is accessible by stairs, so I wouldn't recommend it for people with limited mobility. In general, the hotel is not wheelchair accessible. However, the beach is very close, beautiful, wide, and full of seashells. You can even walk all the way to Albufeira's Old Town, and the hotel also provides a free shuttle bus there three times a day. The beach was definitely the highlight of our stay.
The hotel grounds are surrounded by greenery, well maintained, and pleasant.
Smoking is allowed throughout the entire resort, which was disappointing. On previous holidays we were used to designated smoking areas, so we didn't have to deal with cigarette smoke everywhere.
Upon arrival, guests are required to pay a €100 deposit by credit card. This information was not mentioned anywhere in advance, and some guests may not expect it or may not even have a credit card.
Overall, the hotel delivers what you would expect from a 3-star property. However, we wouldn't choose to stay here again. The biggest disappointments were the unenforced reservation of the already insufficient number of sunbeds (despite signs promising that unattended towels would be removed), the lack of traditional local cuisine, and the large number of noisy, poorly behaved children.

I stayed here for a week from the 29th January 2026. My room was a bit tir d but clean. I had a sea view. Unfortunately the weather was terrible. But that's not the hotels fault lol. The food was lovely and a good selection. Unfortunately I fractured my ankle on second night. The hotel staff were great. They went out of their way to assist me. They even loaned me a wheelchair to get me around. This hotel has lots of stairs so isn't suitable for disabled people. However there are service lifts which the hotel staff happily transferred me from one floor to another so that I still had full access. The rep was very helpful too. I enjoyed the evening entertainment. There was a free shuttle into town several times a day. For the price this is a decent holiday.

Enjoyed our stay again (3rd time) great views from room, restaurant & pool. Good quiet location, entertainment on everyday, food was decent enough but could be slightly warmer at times. Always plenty of choice and nice relaxing atmosphere in restaurant.
I like this hotel but feel some of the rooms could do with an upgrade, shower was great but leaky head and leaks on floor with shower curtain rather than a shower screen, balcony was great but had to slam door and shoulder charge to get it open. Would be nice to have a kettle in room also. Indoor pool is quite small but adequate if no groups are in. Take long phone cables if you want your phone on your bedside table as some don’t have a socket near them.
100% would stay here again as positives outweigh any negatives. Check in desk staff were good & helpful both checking in and out.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Auramar. I didnt know what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely and there was a great selection. We ate at the pool bar every day instead of the main restaurant. and the staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The view from our room was amazing - the lovely beach. Everywhere was clean and tidy.
