Excellent place to stay when visiting Malta. The hotel’s rooms were spacious and the breakfasts delicious. Valletta is an excellent walking city and no car is necessary (for most people) when traveling around the city (I found Parking Valletta to be a reasonable place to park, just outside the city walls).
There’s much to see in Malta and the Embassy Hotel affords a good base for visiting other places in the country. And Valetta alone can keep a person busy during one’s entire stay. And the views from atop the Embassy were always entrancing and changed according to the time of day and weather conditions.
The Embassy’s staff were always courteous and helpful.

I’m grateful for the excellent service. I wasn’t a hotel guest, but I did come for a massage, and it was truly outstanding. From the moment of booking until the moment I left, everything was perfect. The view of the evening city from the restaurant is also absolutely incredible — beyond description.
Even if you’re not staying at this hotel, I highly recommend visiting it.

We stayed at this 4-star hotel, but the noise level at night was unbearable. We understand that some street noise is unavoidable in the city center; however, the music volume from the nearby bars made it feel like we were inside the bar itself. The live music went on until around 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and the hotel did not warn us about this issue at all.
Even after we asked for earplugs, it didn’t help, the balcony door provide almost no sound insulation. What’s more frustrating is that this issue has been mentioned in reviews for years, yet clearly nothing has changed.
For a rate of over €200 per night, a good night’s sleep should be the minimum expectation. If you’re planning to stay here over the weekend, think twice — you’ll likely be kept awake by the bars until 1 a.m. and then woken again around 6 a.m. by street-cleaning trucks. Great location, but not worth the sleepless nights.

Thank you for your reply. However, we did contact the front desk every night during our stay to request a quieter room, but were told each time that the hotel was fully booked. The hotel kindly offered complimentary champagne and a small dessert one night, which we appreciated, though it didn’t help with the rest we needed.
The first two nights were extremely noisy due to the bars directly below the hotel, while Sunday was much quieter since the bar was closed. This clearly shows that the unbearable noise occurs mainly on Friday and Saturday nights.
We understand some city noise is expected in a central location, but it would have been helpful to be informed in advance about the extremely loud noise on Friday and Saturday, or to have better soundproofing in the rooms.
Thank you again for your response and for acknowledging our feedback, we hope the hotel can take this into consideration to improve future guests’ experiences.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
All the staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and clean. We loved having breakfast up on the roof terrace overlooking Valletta. The roof terrace is a lovely place to have lunch or dinner and watch the sunset, or have a swim in the lovely pool.
The hotel is in a perfect location to see all the sights in Valletta. So you don’t have to walk far.
It was a special double birthday trip. 70th and 65th birthday. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

I am very satisfied with the choice of staying at the Embassy Hotel Valletta, and I truly believe it is one of the best hotels in the city.
The location is excellent, right in the heart of Valletta, and the rooftop terrace offers a wonderful view that really adds to the experience. Most importantly, the service is outstanding. The reception team deserves special thanks – they always greeted us warmly, remembered us by face, and were genuinely helpful with every request. Their professionalism made our vacation especially pleasant.
The rooms are well-designed, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. There is enough space to store clothes, and I personally liked the overall style and layout.
There are a couple of small drawbacks to keep in mind. The sound insulation is not perfect, and since our windows faced the lively street with bars, it could be noisy until around 11:30 PM. It didn’t bother me much, but guests who go to bed early may find it challenging. Another point is that the rooftop deck has limited sunbeds and especially umbrellas, so you need to arrive around 10:30 AM to secure one. Adding more umbrellas or shaded spots on the rooftop would make it even more comfortable.
Despite these minor issues, the stay exceeded expectations. I would definitely choose this hotel again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Valletta. A big thank you once more to the reception team for providing such a high level of service!
