We had a nice week here. Great service from the staff. Outdoor pool was to cold for us but there was a heated inside pool we could enjoy. Lots of sunbeds outside. Good buffet restaurant, with plenty to choose from. Room was big and the view nice. Location was perfec for us, close to a small harbour, two beaches with long boardwalk. 3 busses close by, so you could either walk about 2km to old town or take the bus. If we come back to Calp, we would not mind staying here again.

Hotel Ifach was okay but not as good as you might expect. The rooms were spacious and clean, and one of the male cleaners was especially kind. Housekeeping was fine most of the time, though sometimes rushed, and there was a wooden tray with black mold. The balcony door was old and slightly rusted, and the handle didn’t work properly.
The elevators were slow, moved shakily between floors, and the doors took a long time to open.
The breakfast buffet was decent, with pancakes, potato pancakes, bacon, eggs, fresh juice, cold cuts, salads, fruits, and little frozen ice cream cups. Eggs were often undercooked unless you asked for them to be flipped. The dinner buffet was disappointing, food was mostly bland, salads lacked flavor, and shrimp wasn’t cleaned properly. Drinks cost €2.30 each, and the ice cream machine was sometimes out of service.
The dinner buffet was consistently crowded with elderly guests, but this time it was particularly noticeable. Stepping out of the elevator, I found about 30 people, many with canes and very elderly, all tightly packed. It felt more like a nursing home than a restaurant, which made the experience uncomfortable.
For Halloween, there was a short haunted house in the parking garage. It had good scares, but the 40-minute wait with mostly older adults made it awkward.
The dining area was uninviting, with harsh LED lighting, small tables, and cheap wooden chairs. Guests often touched food or utensils accidentally.
The location is good, near the beach and scenic walks, but the surrounding area is unremarkable. It mostly attracts older adults and families with children, with very little for young adults or anyone looking for a lively atmosphere.
Overall, Hotel Ifach is adequate for a short stay, with comfortable rooms and decent breakfast, but the dinner buffet, paid drinks, mold, slow elevators, overwhelming presence of elderly guests, and boring surrounding area made it feel more like a nursing home than a fun summer vacation. 3.5 stars.

Second stay in the hotel for a bike holiday. Decent food, nice spacious rooms and friendly service.
The animation in the evening can be very loud, but you have a second door in the room 😉

On arrival we were greeted by Ray on reception he was a very friendly welcoming guy, as we were relatively early our room wasn’t ready but are luggage was tagged and place in a safe locked room, we were told we could enjoy the facilities. We were pleased that we had a room that we had requested it was on the 10th floor and had views of the pool, salt lakes and sun in the afternoon, this was nice to retire to after we had had enough of the pool or sea, the room had everything we needed, a free safe, coffee and tea making facilities, a comfy bed and pillows and was pleasingly quite at night.
The hotel has good leisure facilities like free crazy golf, clubs require a €10 deposit from reception, a pool table €1 a play cues found at the lobby bar, air hockey, gym, sauna and outdoor and indoor pools.
The food was okay usual food style that has to try and cater for everyone, we went al-inclusive but didn’t attend every meal as we like to eat out on occasions. We did enjoy the snacks from the pool bar, freshly prepared to order like decent pizzas or grilled chicken baguettes, we would sometimes order pizza at like 6.30 pm then take back to the room when we couldn’t be bothered with the rat race of the restaurant. All ice creams on the board are included in the al-inclusive which is good, along with several branded crisp options, nuts and sweets. The drinks were pretty good again branded drinks like coke lemon and orange Fanta, San Miguel, Heineken and Mahou in cans, would have liked to have seen more cocktail options though. Best place for drinks is the lobby bar they are served in glasses and made more attentively.
The location is very good, close to several beaches, salt lake, marina, Penon de ifach and 25-30 minutes to the picturesque old town.
Most of the staff are pleasant and helpful, note pool opens at 10.00am but shuts quite late which is a bonus plus every time you get a drink or some food you have to get your room card swiped even if you have a wrist band, so have to make sure whoever is going and getting them that they have the card.
Update not all ice creams are included in the al-inclusive any more only a handful, poor.
