We stayed at the Meliá Benidorm as a group of 13 and honestly, we couldn’t fault it. The hotel was immaculate throughout, spotless rooms, comfortable beds and everything maintained to a really high standard. You can tell they take pride in the place.
The location is perfect. It’s close enough to everything you need but still feels relaxed. There’s a Lidl directly across the road which was so handy for snacks and essentials, and a lovely Chinese buffet right opposite as well – ideal for big groups like ours.
We enjoyed it that much we’re already looking to book again for next year. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Benidorm, whether you’re going as a couple, family or a larger group like us.

And what a breakfast!!! Thank you, the Level chef! And thank you, Selena and all the others (so sorry for forgetting their names!!!) for welcoming and assisting us on everything! We will definitely come back and hope to see you all again!

This hotel was great and the staff were amazing, especially the restaurant staff, they do not stop! I had emailed some questions a few times and there was no delay in a reply which was much appreciated. Our flight was going to arrive after 10pm and they offered a plate of cold food left in our room as we had booked half board, unfortunately we ended up diverted and arrived much later and the receptionist on arrival (Mon 27th) was so lovely. Sadly, no food plate but we were too exhausted anyway, so not worth a moan.
Surroundings of pool and inside the hotel was so clean and the chilled music by the pool was relaxing.
There is a Spa, but we didn’t use it, but will on our return.
I’m not sure if it’s a ‘season’ thing but the food selection wasn’t massive. However, there was something for everyone both at breakfast and evening. We couldn’t complain there was nothing to eat. It was well laid out and tidy, the chefs behind the counter were pleasant and the food was great. There is a children’s area and room, also timetables of everything going on in the hotel.
Definitely will return as it’s not far from all the nightlife, about a 10 minute walk. We used ‘benidormseriously.com’ to find all the tribute acts and it was a great few days!

⚠️ WARNING: Unsafe Hotel – Please Read Before Booking ⚠️
I am sharing my experience so that others can stay safe and avoid going through what I went through at this hotel.
From the moment I arrived, the experience was awful. The check-in took over 30 minutes, and the room I was given was nothing like the photos online. It was filthy — urine on the bathroom floor, stains on the toilet seat, and bed bugs in the mattress that forced me to seek medical help after the first night.
The food was equally unacceptable. Breakfast was cold, tasteless, and unhygienic, with hair found in my meals. Dinner was worse. Despite booking half-board, staff refused to serve food when I arrived late due to shuttle delays.
But the biggest issue is safety. I was verbally abused by staff and guests, subjected to racist and sexist comments, and physically intimidated. My belongings were stolen (including a blazer and my phone), and when I asked reception to check CCTV, they refused, mocked me, and insulted me further.
I was also harassed in the elevators, where men used racial slurs and broke my phone. When I reported this, staff dismissed me. Even worse, when the police became involved, instead of protecting me, they insulted, assaulted, and humiliated me. I was left with physical injuries and emotional trauma.
This hotel is unsafe, especially for women and solo travelers. The pictures online are misleading, the staff are unprofessional and abusive, and the environment is extremely hostile. What should have been a relaxing trip turned into a deeply traumatic experience.
👉 Please, for your own safety and peace of mind, do not book this hotel. It is not what it claims to be, and no one deserves to go through what I experienced here.

We went as a family of 3 with our autistic daughter. Our room was dirty, the bathroom was grimey, very outdated, holes in the tiles. We stayed for 6 nights, our bedsheets were only changed once. The coffee and tea tray were not topped up either. We also had cockroaches in our room. All we got from the staff was "Sorry about that" the pool bar staff were rude and abrupt. We went all inclusive. However there were certain drinks and foods we couldnt have, even though we were ALL INCLUSIVE. They expected us to pay for other things! Ridiculous. The indoor pool you have to wear a swimming cap. My daughter is autistic, she doesnt wear anything on her head. Even though we had explained this on several occasions. We were still spoken to rudely regarding this swimming cap. Indoor bar staff, couldnt crack a smile of you asked them. Again rude, abrupt. When ordering our food we got the wrong thing every time. We had to eat out for dinner as there wasnt much to choose from, we shouldnt of had to of done that considering again we went all inclusive. I spent a stupid amount of money on this hotel expecting high standards of service. How this hotel has 4 stars I shall never know. Looks can be deceiving for this hotel, but the staff attitude, cockroaches in our room, dirty bathroom, unclean sheets. Unacceptable. Would not recommend.
