Another great trip to this brilliant hotel. The facilities are amazing but the best thing is the staff. From a bright smiling super helpful Karim as soon as you arrive to the best restaurant manager Raul the fabulous Nicky who will help you with anything and everything and wonderful Roxana at the bar. You are who mak the hotel a home for home and I will be back soon.

Booked the all inclusive package, well worth the money.
Reception was efficient and quick, polite..
Room was clean and bright, good terrace with a sea view.
Plenty of channels on the TV including many UK channels.
The spa area although 20 euros was worth it, very relaxing and big and plenty of room.
The food was very good, 3 meals a day, wide selection of food, drinks brought to your table by pleasant and efficient staff.
Overall, I would definitely return here.

We stayed at Sandos Monaco for 3 nights as a couple in our early 20s. Overall, the hotel was disappointing and felt more like a 3-star hotel than 4-star.
We had a standard room on the 16th floor (room 1608). The room itself was very basic and not soundproof at all. The biggest issue was the lifts — we regularly waited around 10 minutes, and they stopped on multiple floors each time. On one of the days, the water was turned off for the entire day due to building work, and we were not informed of this before or during our stay, which was really unacceptable.
Cleanliness was a big concern. In the restaurant, almost every plate we picked up was dirty on both the top and bottom, including glasses and cutlery. We also had silverfish coming out from under our bed, which was unpleasant.
The staff were generally slow and didn’t speak or understand English very well. Service felt geared towards the older guests — we were the youngest people there, and staff mostly focused on serving drinks to older tables. The atmosphere from other guests was quite obnoxious at times, but this may be due to the age demographic the hotel attracts.
Food and drink were very basic and mostly the same each day. As a vegetarian, options were very limited, and many dishes weren’t labelled, which also wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with allergies. The food was often bland, cold, and tasted of nothing.
Facilities were mixed. The spa itself was nice and probably the best part of the hotel, but we weren’t told that it had to be paid for separately when booking through On the Beach. We also had to pay extra for flip-flops and swimming caps, and the changing rooms had no locks on the doors. An older lady slipped in the changing area, which was concerning. The bathroom doors in the rooms also don’t lock. The outdoor pool was very cold, although this is understandable for the time of year. Entertainment wasn’t great and definitely not aimed at younger guests.
The location is excellent — about a 5-minute walk to the beach and the strip, very central with lots of shops nearby. Neptune’s is especially worth visiting. We also did an excursion with Marco Polo to Algar Waterfalls and Guadalest, which was lovely and a highlight of the trip.
Overall, this hotel may suit older guests who are happy with bland food and slower service, and it’s okay for a cheap staycation. However, it didn’t meet 4-star expectations for us, and we wouldn’t return.

Our stay at Sandos was pleasant, the reception area and main bar was kept clean and tidy. We had a lovely welcome and checking in process. Lots of pro’s to the hotel, snack bar by the pool easy access to different types of food rather than going to the food hall. Room was spacious and clean, cleaning lady was kind and polite with each interaction. There was a variety of entertainment each evening, kids disco and then something for the adults.
Unfortunately I had emailed the hotel previously regarding my girlfriend’s birthday as they had celebration packages on the website. I went to reception to discuss the details on the Saturday which was met with hostility from one of the reception staff. The trainee Madai was prompt to apologise as I felt quite dismissed by the other member of staff. She let me know my requests were heard and everything would be taken care of by Monday. On Monday it had not gone to plan, (this wasn’t due to reception) the cake was wrong and drinks selection was not adhered too as well as the balloon arrangement poor. When bringing this to the attention of Madai at the reception, she was nothing but apologetic and the manager acknowledged that it was their fault for it not being carried out as I had asked. Thankfully I received a refund and spa voucher.
The staff around the hotel were mostly very kind and courteous, apart from what we assumed was the bar manager. He was very dismissive, rude and judgmental when we asked for non alcoholic options. Aswell as one male bar staff sneakily adding alcohol into our drinks, when I noticed he denied it and another customer thankfully took them. He remade them and made a joke about it which made us very uncomfortable.
On the bright side, Jeni and maia the two female evening bar staff were very helpful and made us feel accepted to have mocktails and try different flavours. Lovely ladies who definitely are a credit to the hotel.

Great hotel. Great value for its money. We had the all inclusive. The service and the food were really good. Seven minute walk from the beach.
Big spacious room with seaview. And a huge bathroom. Maybe all a little out of date but very well for us. Friendly staff.
