Our disappointing experience with Prainha Village management concerns the on-site Restaurante Caniço, where we tried to plan our 2026 wedding.
Although our 50 guests would have completely filled the restaurant and we were ready to pay full wedding-level pricing (€100 pp + drinks), we were told we must also pay €3,000 for “exclusivity.” The alternative was to hold dinner at the pool shack and share the restaurant space with hotel diners — while still paying premium rates and covering the cost of a DJ other guests would also enjoy. they could have simply raised the per-person rate transparently
When we politely questioned this and asked to speak with management, Prainha ended communication entirely.
The location is stunning, but the resort’s handling was rigid, dismissive, and far from client-focused. A missed opportunity that reflects poorly on Prainha’s customer service and transparency. Not recommended for weddings or private events.

My stay was wonderful.
The location, the amenities, but most importantly the staff at the restaurant Monica & Jessica were fantastic. Monica worked tirelessly to ensure our group of +300 had everything we needed- without dispute.
All the staff are helpful and respectable.
Cocktails are amazing and so was breakfast.
I can't wait to see you again Monica and Jessica!
Lots of love, Danielle, Soul Fusion.

Spotlessly clean. Bright, crisp, rooms with well equipped kitchen/diner. Fab swimming pools. Quiet and peaceful. Very kind helpful staff. The only thing I think would improve pool access is a hand rail by the steep steps down to the pool area. Definitely returning next year😀.

Amazing place to stay. Sufficient for 2 people. Best location for the beach accessibility. The beach here at the back of villa is one of the best beaches we have seen in europe. The super market right in the premise is very convinient & the italian restaurant right next to the room is was a saviour on days we were tiered. Highly recommend

Location was great, very close to amazing beaches. The pool was nice but the rest of the facilities were poorly maintained, the basketball net was broken the tennis courts were a mess. The rooms were not very comfortable and the beds were very hard to sleep on and the pillows were not existent. Food was a bit of a problem. The grocery store was not stocked well but you could get yogurt and fruit for breakfast or else you have to leave the complex each time for breakfast restaurants that weren’t that close. The pool side restaurant was good enough for lunch. Overall the beaches were great however the complex itself was two stars.
