The room/apartment we stayed in was by the road. We hered the cars and buses go past but they calmed down so it wasn’t a constant problem.
The food could have been better, with more variety for the dinner. There was a bit of a variety but could be improved with the addition of vegetables.
The local area was stunning (even though there was construction going on across the road). Only about 5 minutes from the nearest beach. Two shops located right outside the entrance so no need to walk far away from the hotel.
Staff were friendly and inviting.
Also the all inclusive aspect of the hotel was lacking as all the food bars and drink bars shut around 23:00.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience at Los Zocos so that other guests know what to expect.
This was my first holiday abroad with my two-year-old daughter, and I was really looking forward to making special memories. Sadly, the hotel fell far short of what I expected from a four-star resort.
On arrival, there was no room available for us. The hotel told me this was due to a burst pipe and suggested that my daughter and I move to another hotel (I ended up stopping with my mum whose room was ready) My mum was already sharing with her disabled husband and two children, meaning her other children ended up sleeping on the sun loungers so my daughter and I could have a bed. This caused significant disruption to the whole family.
Throughout the rest of our stay, the maintenance issues continued. The fridge in my room didn’t work from the day I reported it and was never repaired, despite informing reception. The air conditioning also stopped working during our final days, I reported it twice, but nobody came to fix it, leaving us to spend our last nights in an uncomfortably hot room.
The most concerning incident involved the wardrobe. The sliding door came completely off its runner while my two-year-old daughter was playing nearby. Thankfully, it landed on the bed rather than on her, but had the bed not been there, the outcome could have been very different. It was an incredibly frightening experience and a serious safety concern. When I reported it to reception, nobody asked if my daughter was okay. Instead, I was simply asked whether the wardrobe door was broken and told someone would put it back on. The lack of concern shown was genuinely shocking.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was also well below the standard I expected. The fridge in our room was dirty when we arrived, with red residue inside. I also found a nipple cover stuck to the bathroom wall on the day we moved into our room. After reporting it, the cleaners removed it but repeatedly insisted it had never been there and claimed the photograph I had taken wasn’t from my room, despite the item having just been removed from the wall. Rather than apologising, I was made to feel as though I was making the situation up. After this, the same cleaner was rude towards me, gave me dirty looks and entered my room without knocking on more than one occasion, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
The restaurant was another disappointment. On several occasions, the floors were so greasy and slippery that I had to warn staff because I was genuinely worried about my daughter’s safety and about my mum’s disabled husband falling. One evening, we chose not to eat in the restaurant at all because the floor was simply too slippery to feel safe.
The hotel itself is not as advertised. There were visible holes in walls, poor paintwork and signs that maintenance had been neglected throughout the resort. It certainly did not reflect the standard expected of a four-star hotel.
The only real positive from our stay was the entertainment team. They were absolutely fantastic with my daughter, especially during the karaoke evenings where they sang Frozen songs with her and made her feel included. They were kind, welcoming and genuinely helped create some happy memories despite everything else.
It’s such a shame because my daughter still enjoyed herself, but that’s because I made sure she did—not because of the hotel itself. Instead of relaxing, I spent much of the holiday reporting faults, chasing repairs that never happened, raising cleanliness concerns and worrying about safety.
I cannot fault the entertainment staff, but unfortunately the poor maintenance, lack of cleanliness, inadequate response to safety concerns and disappointing customer service mean I would not return to Los Zocos or recommend it to others.

The hotel has some positive aspects. The grounds are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The staff are friendly, polite, and always willing to help. The location is also very convenient, the beach within walking distance.
However, we are disappointed with our stay. This hotel does not feel like a 4-star property.
The room was old. It should be renovated. From time to time there was a strong smell coming from the bathroom.
The hotel also urgently needs to replace its towels and bed linen. They are extremely old, have lost their softness, texture, and original color, and look worn out.
The food … The desserts were especially poor. Many of them were simply store-bought biscuits covered with a gelatin-based cream. This is not the quality you expect from a 4-star hotel.
Overall, it feels like the hotel is trying to cut costs everywhere, and unfortunately, it shows.

An absolutely wonderful holiday at Los Zocos. The food is great and the staff are all friendly and helpful. It is close to the beach and plenty of shops to look around. It's clean and tidy, and the holiday rep from Jet To, was so helpful. Plenty of excursions to go on to see around the Island, will definitely consider coming back again.
