We just got back from the Grecotel and had a half board (breakfast & lunch/dinner)
The hotel itself is very pretty and embedded into the cliffs. Location is great, staff are kind, and the beach was gorgeous.
That being said the food was a MAJOR let down for a supposed 5 star hotel.
Breakfast: The eggs were beyond awful, cold and overdone. Unlike any other similar 5 star resort where you can get fresh eggs/omlettes made. Here they would flat out refuse and point you to the stale and gross eggs they had sitting under heat lamps.
Bacon was also the worst I’ve ever had. Like chewing plastic.
The lunch and dinner wasn’t much better, any proteins were a major miss. We ended up eating out most of the time.
Salad bar was pretty good, and so was the choice of breads, but they really skimped out on the proteins.
Tried the pasta bolognaise in the end and it was awful too.
Don’t get me wrong we had a great trip overall but the food was beyond average and not what you would expect from a 5 star resort.

We had the most wonderful stay at Eva Palace in Corfu, and it was the perfect place to celebrate and finish our honeymoon.
We arrived on the day the hotel reopened for the season, and everything was running beautifully from the very start, a real credit to the team.
The hotel itself is beautifully set on the side of a cliff, with stunning views out across Lake Butrint, you can even see Albania and mainland Greece in the distance, which made it feel really special and unique. The room was very well maintained and spotlessly clean, and we were touched to find champagne waiting for us on arrival to help us celebrate our honeymoon.
The food throughout our stay was excellent. The buffet offered a great selection at both breakfast and dinner, with plenty of variety each day. A standout highlight was La Contessa, the Italian à la carte restaurant, which was a fantastic dining experience and one we would highly recommend.
The hotel also offers a very convenient twice-daily shuttle service into Corfu Old Town (just be sure to book in advance with the Guest Services Team), which made exploring easy and stress-free.
What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the people. A special thank you to Themis (Service Manager), whose kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our final evening and departure day incredibly special, it was the perfect way to end our honeymoon. We would also like to mention Vimtra (Waitress) at the pool bar, who was always warm, welcoming, and attentive, her friendly energy added so much to our time by the pool.
The combination of breathtaking views, great food, and genuinely caring staff made this a stay we will always remember. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already hoping to return.
Go raibh míle maith agat (a thousand thanks) for such a memorable experience.

Rooms:
The rooms themselves were good — clean, comfortable, and with a beautiful view. However, during check-in we were first given a room that smelled unpleasant. Once we reported it, the staff reacted quickly and changed our room without hesitation. Later, we had an issue with the air conditioning not working on the heating mode, which took some time to resolve. For a while we weren’t sure whether we’d need to switch rooms again.
Another downside was the Wi-Fi. The listing mentioned high-speed internet, but the connection was very unstable. We eventually had to purchase additional Airalo data packages because of that.
Service:
The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and genuinely tried to help as fast as possible.
Location:
The location wasn’t ideal in my opinion. Transportation around the island is not easy or cheap — taxis cost around €40 per direction. I’d definitely recommend renting a car in Corfu; it gives you much more freedom to explore. On the positive side, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the Old Town, which was very convenient.
Facilities:
I was a bit disappointed with the facilities during the off-season. I expected the pool to be heated, but it wasn’t. We ended up visiting another Grecotel nearby that did have a warm pool.
Overall, a pleasant stay with great service and views, but a few issues that could be improved — especially Wi-Fi and off-season amenities.
