Our second visit to the Tacande and we were not disappointed. Location is excellent - opposite beach and near to shops, bars and restaurants. Impeccable service in all areas of the hotel - reception, bars, restaurants, maid services - all friendly and efficient. They could not do enough to make sure you enjoyed your stay. Good tennis court - we played every day. Enjoyed our visit to the new Michelin-starred restaurant Haydee, which is attached to the hotel.
Our room in Casa Fuente was huge with a lovely terrace and great views all round of the sea, the pool area and the mountains behind. The only criticism I have is that the room layout means the bath is quite prominently in the room (which is a bit odd) and that there is no proper door on the toilet. However long you have been married to somebody, some things are still better left private!

Check in and welcome was perfect. David at check in was very gracious and welcoming. We are especially thankful for the room upgrade.
Rooms were spacious, clean and quality was maintained daily by friendly cleaning staff.
Hotel facilities including pools were generally clean and well maintained. Since our last visit in 2023 there has been some improvement in the situation with roaches.
There was a wide variety of good quality food at breakfast and dinner. We appreciate the reduction in quantity and therefore food waste.
Wait staff - generally friendly, efficient and attentive. The maitre d's at every meal were warm and welcoming. We would especially like to mention Dodi for his exceptional service. Niccolo is a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately, there were some staff who did make us feel unwelcomed and a burden when making simple requests. This resulted in us avoiding some areas of the dining area and pool bar. However, we did make drink requests with the pool servers were lovely and hard working and would always ask if we enjoyed the drinks. Service at the Azotea bar was very good.
Dinner entertainment was well chosen and we particularly enjoyed the violinist and harpist. Piped music throughout hotel and at poolside were notable additions and enjoyable.
The SPA was a perfect complimentary addition to the stay and was enjoyed by the entire family.
We have been coming to this hotel for over a decade and appreciate that this hotel (Gran Tacande) continues to maintain its' high standards and to market itself to a particular clientele.

Our room was absolutely stunning, we had a Jacuzzi facing the sea, and soaking in it at night with champagne in hand was such a dream. The staff were friendly to us throughout. It is also a 3 min walk to Playa del Duque (there is direct access from the hotel to the beach) so very convenient for quick dips in the ocean. The hotel buffet was also very nice. Overall a great experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was lovely from start to finish. The food was delicious, with plenty of choice and excellent quality throughout our stay.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Their excellent service really made our holiday extra special.
The pool area was absolutely spotless and very well maintained, making it a pleasure to relax there each day. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location.
Just outside the hotel, there was a beautiful clean beach within easy walking distance, along with many lovely restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby. It was the perfect place to enjoy both relaxation and exploring the local area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return in the future. Highly recommended!

We recently stayed for the 5th time at the Gran Tacande, and the experience is as strong as ever
The hotel is beautiful, with great facilities, set in a perfect location in the nicer region of Tenerife South
Many of the team have worked there for many years and are extremely passionate about the hotel and the guests, and have taken the time during our several visits over the years to really get to know us and remember us

One of the jewels of this hotel is the Azotea sunset bar - which as the name suggests, is unbeatable during sunset
The breakfast selection is very premium, and the facilities such as the pools and bars are outstanding. The hotel is designed for far more people than it accommodates, which means shared facilities such as sun loungers, tables, etc are plentiful, you never have to fight for the best spot!
Every aspect of this hotel is perfect. I would never consider any other hotel!
