Just finished a 7 day holiday at Gran Meliá and what a lovely time we had! Ignore the bad reviews and make your own assumptions!
The hotel grounds pool and scenery are absolutely fabulous, around the hotel & pool area it was always clean.
All staff are very friendly and welcoming.
We were all inclusive for our trip and found it very good value for money with drinks, food, snacks and meals from the buffet and al a carte restaurants, we managed to eat in the Nami restaurant on one night for dinner which was lovely!
We stayed in a double deluxe room which was lovely with all amenities including hair dryer, iron with ironing board, kettle with coffee and teabags which were replaced everyday along side water and soft drinks. Beds were super comfy qnd a massive bath which we also enjoyed one night. Rooms were always cleaned every day.
Buffet food is nice with lots of different things to offer, can get a bit samey but still nice.
Only a few negatives to mention, service in the evening can be very slow as only seems to be a few staff members working so it means you’re waiting 20 minutes for a drink.
Also the difficulty of booking the al a carte restaurants when half of them would be empty anyway!
All in all it was a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend.

This was out first time experience in the resort because we are more adventurous travelers, and we chose this resort from the serie showed on Netflix. It was another adventure for us and surprisingly interesting experience.
We had a wonderful stay at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora from the first minute til the last and thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days there and around Tenerife.
The resort is beautiful, with great facilities, spacious rooms, stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. I already recommended this resort to couple of friends and they were interested in adult only option 😀, that is something quite considerable. Even though we didn't experience any noise or disturbance during our stay; all guests were quiet and educated people and that makes a lot too.
What made our visit truly memorable was the outstanding hospitality, professionalism and genuine kindness of all staff who made us feel so well looked after. I used to work in hospitality myself and know how hard, demanding and draining this job can be.
We received an exceptional service from everyone, and I do apologise I didn't catch every single name but here are some I did:
Manuel from reception
Leny from Spa
Antonio consignier
Ariela, Kelly hostesses
Fernanda (animator?)
Beatriz G, Colombian waiter (Rayan?), Carlos, Oswaldo, Mari, from restaurants and bars
Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic experience. We will happily return and highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable: the sea, the pleasant temperature, and the proximity to all amenities create a true sense of relaxation. This is perfectly complemented by the outstanding facilities: spacious corridors, lifts and staircases, magnificent rooms with excellent bathrooms, parking, swimming pools, gardens, the “Mar de Nubes”, and a carefully chosen palette of soft colours that gives the entire hotel an atmosphere of complete tranquillity.
Another aspect we greatly appreciated was the presence of a Catholic church just a stone’s throw from the hotel. This was particularly important to us, as it meant we were also able to feel spiritually cared for during our stay.
In addition, it is clear that there is thoughtful leadership and a dedicated team behind everything, ensuring that every detail is maintained to the highest standard. At least for us, the experience was simply ideal.
Without a doubt, one of the hotel’s greatest strengths is the kindness of the staff, especially the Red Level and Red Level for Families team. We would particularly like to mention Naomi, Andrea, Rosana, Claudia, Fabiola, Lupe, Roberta, and many others whose names we unfortunately cannot recall, for their constant willingness to help and their exceptional service throughout our stay.
Another major highlight for us was how well the hotel caters to all types of guests. We travelled as a family of two adults and one baby, and throughout our stay we felt we had our own safe and comfortable space, while other guests clearly enjoyed theirs as well. We were able to enjoy both the children’s area and a couple of relaxing hours in the adults-only area while our daughter attended the Kids Club, where Maya and Paula were both delightful and highly professional.
In summary, we achieved exactly what we had hoped for: a truly restful family holiday. Each of us was able to enjoy our favourite part of the hotel, while also sharing the experience together in a calm atmosphere and feeling wonderfully cared for in a magnificent hotel that clearly reflects the exceptional team behind it.

We have stayed in many resorts over the years, but what truly makes a place memorable is its people. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the entire staff, who were exceptional from the moment we arrived until our departure.
A special thank you goes to Aurelia and Daniela, whose kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made our stay even more enjoyable. They are a true credit to the resort. Every member of the team we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile.
As for the resort itself, it is fair to say that some parts of the interior feel a little dated, which is understandable considering the property opened in 2008 and has seen relatively few major renovations. However, this is more than compensated for by everything else the resort offers.
The exterior areas are absolutely stunning. The infinity pool is spectacular, the ocean views are breathtaking, and the promenade behind the resort creates a truly unique atmosphere. Walking along the seafront, interacting with local residents, and enjoying the nearby beach made us feel connected to the real Tenerife rather than being isolated in a tourist bubble.
The combination of the Atlantic Ocean, the beautiful surroundings, outstanding service, and the warm hospitality of the staff created an unforgettable experience. We leave with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future.
Thank you to Aurelia, Daniela, and the entire team for making our stay so special.

Overall, our stay was good, but in my opinion this hotel does not meet true 5-star standards.
One issue was the pool area, where not all loungers had cushions. Without them, the loungers were quite uncomfortable.
Our room was also in need of a deep clean. The ceiling light was covered in dust that looked as though it had been there for years, which was disappointing to see in a hotel of this rating.
Although snacks are advertised as being available, the only snack consistently offered at the bar was crisps. Anything else seemed difficult to find and required asking multiple staff members.
The biggest disappointment was the service regarding food before our early morning departure. I asked at reception whether anything would be available to eat before we left and was told that sandwiches and pastries would be provided in the reception area. However, I was not informed that this service ended at 7:00 am. When I raised the issue with the receptionist who had taken over, he showed little interest in helping and made no effort to find an alternative solution. A simple request to the kitchen for a few pastries would have made a significant difference.
Finally, the kettle and coffee machine in the room had extremely short power cords, making them inconvenient to use. The only practical way to use them was to place them on the floor, which is neither convenient nor appropriate.
While we enjoyed certain aspects of our stay, the cleanliness, service, and attention to detail fell short of what I would expect from a 5-star hotel.
