Me and my partner stayed here over new year for 10 nights, half board.
We were overall very happy with our stay, the staff are brilliant and can’t help you enough, the evening food was fantastic and actually some of the best food I have received from a buffet style hotel. The location is great and only a 5 minute walk to beach with bus stops nearby taking you into Puerto Rico and Mogán.
The only snags I could recommend the hotel
improves on is the current standard of decoration in the rooms, the walls are in need of painting and overall starting to become a little tired.
The entertainment was ok.
Also please buy some new cues for the pool table! We had to use it all week without any ends on the cues, which made it very interesting!
We also found the towels being left on sun loungers very frustrating, people will go out at 7am reserve the best beds and use them for 1 hour of the day. I would recommend you inform people not to do this as it makes unfair for others.
With this being said, I honestly think with a small investment and a couple of new procedures this hotel could operate as 5 star.
We will definitely be returning! Thank you

The hotel is near the amadores beach and is definitely worth a stay. You have the most beautiful view across the inifinty pool. The rooms are specious and the food is quite diverse.
The only thing worthy of improvement is the sound system in the evening shows. It's just terrible for the ears!
Big thanks to Carla, Christobal and Emmanuel from the pool bar. You guys made the time worthwile. Give them a raise!
See you hopefully next year and keep the whisky and the pina colada cold ;-)

The experience with the front desk was extremely disappointing and degrading. From the very beginning, the staff seemed more focused on getting me to leave the hotel as quickly as possible than on actually helping me.
At no point was I rude, conflictive, or demanding. I did not cause a single problem. Despite this, I was treated in a cold, dismissive, and disrespectful manner, which made me feel very uncomfortable and undervalued as a guest.
Instead of offering solutions or showing empathy, the reception staff gave the impression that my presence was an inconvenience. This attitude is completely unacceptable, especially in a 4-star all-inclusive hotel, where guests expect professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy.
I came on vacation to relax and disconnect, but I left feeling upset, stressed, and humiliated. This kind of treatment should never happen to anyone, regardless of the situation.

First of all be aware that the hotel will constantly try to get you to fill out reviews which we suspect is to stop poor reviews on social media. That said the hotel is in a great location, we found the staff generally ok, a couple of the chefs in the restaurant were rude though and threw the food onto your plate. The food is not of great quality and is basic catering standard for mass produced all inclusive hotels which seems to be it's main clients. Despite the restaurant serving dinner until 9.30pm, when we arrived at 8.45pm we felt unwelcome and rushed as the staff were closing up, no drinks were offered and they were trying to set our table up for breakfast. Outside there are far to many sunbeds around the main pool area, you are literally touch the guest next to you. There is a roof terrace pool area which is much more spacious and the hotel has a very good system were you cannot reserve sunbeds with towels. The room was kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. The air-conditioning in the room was not great, on lowest setting it was only slightly colder than outside. It is a lovely hotel, it's a shame a few things let it down.

We stayed at the Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa in Amadores for ten nights as a couple. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, though there were some ups and downs.
Room:
Our room was large with plenty of storage space for clothes and belongings. The air conditioning worked well and could be controlled conveniently by the bedside. We were placed in block 4, second last room, which unfortunately meant the "sea view" we booked was very minimal. Cleanliness was generally fine, though we did notice hair in the bathtub (which we didn’t end up using). The hotel provided nice little perks like facial exfoliating pads and shower caps, though the toiletries were combined hair/body wash—worth bringing your own conditioner if you need it. The hairdryer wasn’t very powerful, and the TV wasn’t a smart TV, so options there were limited. One downside was that housekeeping entered daily even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign on, which wasn’t ideal.
Food & Dining:
The all-inclusive restaurant was lovely and welcoming. Food was clearly prepared to a high standard, with lots of variety each day. While much of it wasn’t really to our personal taste, we still found plenty to eat and never went hungry. Staff in the restaurant were friendly and attentive, which made meals a pleasant part of the stay.
Facilities:
The pools were lovely—refreshing against the hot weather. We especially enjoyed the rooftop pool as it had a more relaxed vibe. The on-site spa looked nice; we only used it on the last day to shower before leaving, though there were no private cubicles to change after showering which was a bit inconvenient. The gym looked well-equipped with both machines and kettlebells, and being partly outdoors gave it a good atmosphere.
Entertainment & Atmosphere:
We didn’t participate much in the entertainment but caught a glimpse of a music quiz. Unfortunately, one negative moment was when the entertainer played a controversial singer’s song and encouraged my husband to sing along. After he politely declined, the entertainer made a comment over the microphone suggesting if you didn’t like it you should “move upstairs,” which felt unprofessional and unnecessary.
Location:
The hotel is built into the mountainside, which makes for great views (depending on the room), but also means a bit of a trek to and from the beach. Thankfully, there’s a lift to the ground floor that makes the walk much easier.
Overall:
A good hotel with spacious rooms, great pools, quality food, and a decent location. The main drawbacks were the disappointing sea view, minor cleaning issues, intrusive housekeeping, and one poor interaction with entertainment staff. Still, it offers plenty of facilities and a relaxing atmosphere if you want to enjoy Amadores.
