The rooms are spacious and with a balcony that faces the pool at no extra charge. The only downside is the beds are two single beds pushed together so you don’t get a double, a bit annoying. You get a fridge which is a bonus.
There are 2 pools and plenty of sunbeds to go around. There is also an arcade open 24/7 I believe with some fun games and table tennis tables.
Staff are really friendly and attentive. Thank you to Marcelo on entertainment who was fantastic and friendly. And Luciano at the breakfast and dinner buffet who was really friendly.
Food wise- good food for a 4 star resort on a half board basis. Great variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. Not the best for a vegetarian (only pasta, pizza, potatoes, chips, fruit, veg, pastries on offer), but it’s as to expect in such a resorts. Barely any vegan options. Perhaps the hotel could improve on having more options for this. They do have milk alternatives on offer which is great.
Overall, fantastic value for the price and I would stay again

Great accomodation! Winter relaxing at 23C. Food pretty good too, lots of choice. Can be a bit fraught with self service, esp. the coffee machines, but overcome eith timing.
Room maids also seem to be psychic and know when you are out!!!
Rooms are big, modern and well serviced.

I stayed at Barceló Margaritas in Maspalomas for one week as part of a group trip, and overall the experience was pleasant. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the facilities are generally well organized.
The food offered throughout the week was acceptable, though the quality varied and at times felt a bit basic. Still, there was enough variety to find something suitable at each meal.
The only real downside was the spa experience. As someone who works in luxury hotels as a massage therapist, I found the prices to be quite high compared to the standard of service provided. The massage I booked was not the one I received, and when I mentioned it, the only explanation given was that “this is how we usually do it.” This showed limited competence both in the treatment itself and in handling guest feedback, which was disappointing.
Despite this, the rest of the hotel team was consistently professional and welcoming, which made the stay enjoyable overall. With some improvements to the spa service and training, Barceló Margaritas could deliver a much more balanced and satisfying experience.

Great all round hotel with very friendly staff. Three swimming pools( although one is on the royal level.)
Never have to wait long for a drink at the bar. The food is very much above other hotels and we have never had a bad experience regarding the choice or quality.
A good pool side location with beds and free towel hire .
Already looking forward to returning as this is one of our favourite hotels and location.

This hotel is amazing it is immaculately clean and kept spotless not a bit of rubbish to be seen ..the gardens are beautifully manicured tended to everyday .. the entertainment staff were brilliant witty funny happy youngsters really attentive. The only downside which is a minimal moan.. was the coffee in the dining room it was tasteless and not enjoyable but on the bar areas it was lovely coffee. Also we were half board so paid for our drinks and they disturbed you whilst you were eating your meal to pay for them ..i think it would be better paid for after ...other than that the perfect stay ...
