We had a wonderful girls’ weekend at Sanom Beach Resort. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The bungalow was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing. Breakfast was filling and delicious, with especially friendly and attentive service. The entire resort has a lovely, calm atmosphere that made our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommend it.

Thieves in the room
Last January I stayed at this property for 5 nights with two friends, in a triple room. On the last evening, while we were out, someone entered our room and stole several personal belongings (cash, debit card, etc). We did not notice any signs of forced entry. The management denies all responsibility. We don’t understand how this could have happened, but we obviously have our suspicions. I will certainly never return to this resort and I do not recommend going there.

Sanom is not a 4* resort - that’s ridiculous! After arriving couldn’t get into room - wooden door blocked. Fixed the day after - wood chips still lying around. Also ants during my stay in room and bath. No soap, no shower gel - need to ask again and again daily. No or very weak WLAN-Signal - poor services from reception, no help or fixing all 8 nights long. Pool area dirty. No cleaning of poor or walkways. Sorry, never again!

Good: location, friendliness of staff general , resort atmosphere. Could improve: 1) our suite had little to none room for our toiletries. No shelves except one that's crooked and not one single hook or rod to let our towels dry after shower 2) breakfast is OK but the standard menus felt like it was prepared a while ago before being served. In other words not freshly prepared on the spot. Plus I personally value fresh orange juice a lot and would expect this from a 4* accommodation. 3) rooms were OK but our sofa had lots of stains which doesn't look very stylish.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Overall it looks like it is clean hotel. Room was spacious. Had Nespresso coffee machine which was really nice but only 4 capsules free and then you got to pay, i went to supermarket and bought more capsules. No spoons in the room, given wooden sticks.
It has a nice pool and lots of seating areas and beds. Shame they do not offer bed and breakfast deals, it has a restaurant but it is not cheap and they could make offers to had breakfast and dinner as a package at a cheaper price. Lots of local restaurants around.
Reading comments about safe charges, i have moved to different hotel for a few nights, they do the same, charge extra for the safe. Maybe it is a common practice in this island.
Fridge situation was a bit annoying - it has a small cooler but not a fridge in the room, i went to reception to ask about it, i was told you got to put drinks cold to have it cold, it keeps it cold but it is not like a fridge that cools it down.
Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.
