We stayed in apartment 416 which is hosted by the helpful Eugen. This apartment has been newly refurbished and decorated and is perfect for a family. It is a one bedroom apartment and the sofa bed in the lounge is a really good quality, comfortable one
Castle Harbour overall seems well maintained, and the staff are friendly from reception to the pool/snack bar.
A 15-20 minutes walk will see you at the seafront with an uphill walk back, but if you're fit, this is no problem. Hire a car from the airport though as there is plenty of parking in the road.

This was the worst rental experience of my life.
I booked apartment 501 online for three months and paid for the entire stay upfront upon arrival.
The beds were in terrible condition, as if they were 100 years old — dirty, stained, and clearly unhygienic. The bed frame under the mattress was squeaking and literally falling apart. How can something like this be offered to people for sleeping?
The washing machine was not working, and all the water from it was leaking into the kitchen sink, so I had to wash dishes in the bathroom. It took three weeks for the machine to be fixed.
As for the location of the apartment — I strongly do not recommend it. It is located on the corner of the building, and immediately on the left there is a large construction site operating from 7:40 AM to 7:00 PM, six days a week. We woke up every day feeling like someone was hammering directly above our heads — they are literally drilling into rock. I believe this construction will continue for at least a couple more years.
On the right side (when standing on the balcony), there are permanent residents who shout and smoke on their balconies. The bed is placed right next to the window, there is no air conditioning, and you are forced to breathe in the cigarette smoke from the neighbors. The apartment is also extremely dark — there is only one ceiling light with a single bulb. It feels like living in a cave.
The TV only showed a blue screen. The kettle and other appliances looked like they had been picked up from a dump.
The entrance door to the apartment was a separate nightmare. On one occasion, we couldn’t even open it for an entire hour. The metal gate is old, and the lock constantly gets stuck. It felt like a real challenge every time we had to get in or out.
When I informed the owner, Dmitry, two weeks in advance that I wanted to leave because the place was simply unacceptable, his behavior became very unpleasant.
He claimed that “we fulfilled your requests,” referring to replacing the beds (after one month of living there) and fixing the washing machine. He refused to refund the full amount for the unused time and only reluctantly returned half. He said that if I wanted all my money back, I should find someone else to stay there. This is unacceptable.
Additionally, despite knowing in advance that I would be staying with a small dog and assuring me that it was not a problem, at the end he suddenly charged me €100 for a so-called “final cleaning after the dog” — even though I had already paid €50 for cleaning on the day of arrival. This fee was never mentioned beforehand.
I paid €1,100 per month (€3,300 total for May, June, and July), plus €50 for cleaning. In reality, this apartment is worth no more than €500 per month. It is simply not possible to live there comfortably.
I believe there are many much better options in this building or in nearby buildings.

Great heated pool. (The best pool here in Los Cristianos). Brilliant pool bar and restaurant. Handy for some great restaurants, bars and walks. It's pretty unbelievable at the price point. We love it here.

Staff very good. Our room clean was self catering but lacked cooking utensils also no washing machine & no wi fi.u can not go into swimming pool bfor 09.30 and no swimming after 5pm . There are pooltables but ur not allowed to play on them bfor 09.30 and not allowed to play on them after 11pm this is because of the tennents that live there

We were VERY disappointed in so many ways with this accommodation and cannot believe it has so many great reviews. Either the people that wrote them have very low expectations OR they are friends of the property owner, because they mention none of the numerous negative aspects of this accommodation, which we find very suspicious.
The positives.
1. Yes, the accommodation is well equipped, apart from blunt knives.
2. The beds are very comfortable.
3. The complex is very nice and the bar/restaurant staff are brilliant.
The negatives.
1. The sofa is the most uncomfortable sofa we have ever sat on. It may as well be made of concrete. Yet those who gave a score of 10 do not mention it??????
2. The lack of instructions on how to use the TV, cooker, washing machine etc – made things difficult.
3. DISGUSTING. We were informed ONLY on arrival that used toilet paper could not be flushed away but had to be put in to a bin by the toilet. Had we known about this BEFORE booking the accommodation, we would not have booked it! We found this process very UNPLEASANT and extremely UNHYGENIC. NOTE. We spoke to reception and other people staying in the complex and none of them had to go through this disgusting process. All other apartments are on the same pipe network so why this particular apartment was so different didn’t make sense! Yet those who gave a score of 10 do not mention it??????
4. The balcony faced North overlooking a busy main road and never got any sun on it. However, it was nice and spacious and we thought we would get some nice relaxing time reading a book etc. This was not possible as there was building work across the road directly in front of the accommodation and the constant noise from a mechanical jack hammer breaking up rock was horrendous. This noise started at 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday and was a terrible.
5. The smell of the drains in the ensuite bathroom was awful and carried throughout the rest of the accommodation.
We were booked to stay for 4 weeks, but with the stinking drains in the bathroom, the lack of cleaning or refreshing of bed linen and the constant noise, we left after 3 weeks. We informed the owner who was completely disinterested. We would definitely recommend that people DO NOT USE THIS ACCOMODATION.
