Very disappointed. Let’s start with the good, staff in restaurants and bars were amazing and the choice of premium liquor is good. Now the bad, weeds and garbage on the beach, I realize that they can’t prevent it, but they could attempt to clean it. I saw on many occasions guests with garbage bags cleaning up the beach so their kids could play. Food is less than average and staff in preferred club and room services do not seem to care. Missed restocking items on several days and after 6 attempts to have wine brought to the room I gave up. I would not recommend this resort to anyone, value is not there. This is a lower end resort compared to others in the area. Not worthy of the once powerful “Dreams” name.

I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel last summer. So many good memories. We stayed in an ocean front suite and the view from the room and balcony was absolutely breathtaking and unforgettable. Pictures didn't do it justice. We were in the Preferred Club and I would recommend that, as the breakfasts at the beach front restaurant were absolutely wonderful. Fresh and varied and delicious. The meal we had at the Italian restaurant was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The seafood restaurant was great too. Cocktails were strong and tasty. I didn't love the buffet, it was pretty average actually so avoided that as much as possible. Daytime and evening entertainment was great. I joined the cycling tour to the local fishing village one day and that was really fun and gave me an opportunity to get off the resort and see the local area. Other activities included Spanish lessons and archery. The Kids Club was amazing and my daughter had a lot of fun. The ladies working there were lovely and it seemed safe. Kids pool was a lot of fun for the little ones. There was a wedding taking place on one of the days during our stay. Personally I enjoyed watching it - it was beautiful!
Yes there is sargassum on the beach which means you can't swim in the water and there is a bit of a smell, but you see the staff working all day long to clear it as much as they can.
I would return in a heartbeat. It was one of the highlights of my year.

We LOVED everything about this resort. I can not even fully express how amazing this resort is. Not only is it beautiful but it has hands down the BEST staff ever! They are so very thoughtful and consideret. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay and truly it was because of the staff that our experiences there were elevated. I had a minor ankle injury (100% my fault) and from immediately assisting me in wrapping it, to constantly checking on me, to providing wheelchair escort all over, I have never felt so taken care of. We traveled with our two daughters (4 & 8) and they loved the kids club! The dining options are lovely and the resort is gorgeous! As I mentioned EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER was phenomenal, the ones that made an extra special impression on us with their thoughtfulness, service, and professionalism were: Gilberto in the buffet (we truly feel like we made a friend with him and will come back to see him!), Alberto in the services area (he was so kind to understand my injury and take care of our unfortunate excursions cancelations due to my injury) and Rocio and Fatima in the Explorer's Club (Kids club), our daughters LOVED them. I didn't vatch everyones name but EVERYONE was perfection! Also the lady who greeted us for La Petit Chef was so incredibly kind and amazing. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and are so very greatful for helping us have such beautiful memories of this Cancun trip!

This was my first time at an all inclusive resort and WOW did dreams Rivera set the bar very high! I am very impressed with the food, service, and activities they offered.
The food is good. Not amazing, but definitely above average (the French cuisine is amazing and I would recommend sticking to the restaurants). The activities were very impressive, and I’m an adult and I even had fun! The magic and Mexican show was some of my favorite.
To top it off, I liked being more immersed in wildlife and liked being away from the main hotel strip and saw plenty of wildlife on the resort.
Overall, I am very impressed and would 1000% recommend and come again!

Second time here in January. The sargassum is quite high this year which is unusual. They are trying to rake and take away. Service here is good. A lot of same staff. Food is ok. Beach is good for walking. You can get to puerto Morelos in 45 minutes along the beach which is a safe fishing town with shops to walk around. Lots of weddings here so be prepared for noise at night. The ocean view rooms face the pools and it can get loud. The rooms are starting to look dated. I really don’t like the open concept washroom set up. Balcony is nice. Would never use the hot tub. Doesn’t look clean.
