This resort is really nice to stay and spend your vacation at Punta Cana. Friendly and funny service. A lot of funny activities to do during the day. There is a show to watch every night. The beach is also clean for swimming. I believe this resort keeps the beach very clean comparing to other resorts I have seen. The food is pretty good, it offers various different meals, desserts, and fruits. The resort has six restaurants (Dominican, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, French, Barbecue/Steak). However, the only thing I would like the resort to improve is the cleanliness of the rooms, as they should change the sheets every day. Overall, I recommend you to come to this resort for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation, you won’t regret it.

amazing beautiful beach. okay that all in terms of good things. every single piece of food they served was absolutely inedible. i do not consider myself a picky eater, along with the people i was with, yet the only thing i could eat was bread which still tasted bad. on ONE single night of five they had something similar to chicken tenders. delightful, right? NO. there were stripes of NEON BLUE throughout the chicken??? i almost threw up. it’s like this place has never discovered seasoning everything tasted like corn EXCEPT somehow tortilla chips how do u mess those up. not sure how the other restaurants were because the next morning at 7am we went to go get a reservation and were told everything was taken for the week. i nearly starved i wanted to go home every day. also the room was disgusting and many days the beds weren’t even made from room service. and all of the lights would randomly go out?? i am SO easy to please on vacation but would not recommend this place to anyone i know. please be warned.

Beware: Deceptive sales practices and unauthorized charges. Our experience was ruined by the dishonesty of the front desk staff: * Upgrade Scam: We were upsold a "Premium" upgrade for $200 with the promise of walk-in access to restaurants (no reservation needed). This was a lie. We still needed reservations, and many places were fully booked. Other staff later admitted the front desk "says that just to sell the upgrade." * Theft/Unauthorized Charge: When we asked for a partial refund, we discovered the actual upgrade price was $150, not $200. The agent had pocketed the extra $50 as a "tip" without our consent. She only returned the money after we confronted her directly. Aside from the scam, the rooms are in poor condition and the buffet quality is not good. However, there were some positives. The bars were well-stocked and never crowded (no long lines), and the pool is very good. There were also other members of the hotel service staff who provided excellent service. Finally, I want to highlight the great attention from the external staff: Jonathan (who sells tours) and Orlando (who drives the boat and helps with water activities).

We had high hopes booking this hotel but when we spent the first night we noticed we got a room with a clogged shower and toilet. The smell would come out of the shower and toilet. It took them 3 days to get back to us about changing our rooms. It wasn’t until we kept bugging them that they did something about it, the front desk would all pretend to write something important down and then not do anything about it. The buffet was a different experience, I am a bilingual tourist and I speak both English and Spanish. When I’d ask for a drink like a 0 coke from the people working in the buffet, they would say sure and then walk away to a table where people spoke English. I began to notice that they would ignore Spanish speakers and focus on English speakers as they would think they had better chances of higher tips. I then started speaking in English and noticed I got way better treatment from the waiters in the buffet, so I stopped speaking Spanish which sucked because I enjoy it. I hope this hotel focuses on training their employees more to keep up with the standards a hotel should uphold, because nothing impacts a hotel more than word of mouth and social media involvement. Better working rooms, nicer waiters, attentive front desk workers. This hotel needs these to meet standards of tourists. I have been to other places in Cancún and they were much better in terms of attentive care towards tourists. Once this place focuses on that it will be much more enjoyable.

Overall, the location is good. Perfect beach, blue sea, clean sand, etc... The hotel itself is a bit old but very beautiful. Check-in and check-out are slow and require a lot of patience from guests. The service is bad, to sum it up. The staff are grumpy (unless you give them a tip). I had a noise problem in my room and after complaining to the front desk (which didn't resolve the issue) and the manager, it was finally resolved. The system for booking restaurants is confusing and unfair. Basically, arrive early or you have no chance of getting a reservation.The food is good for the price, but don't expect anything sophisticated. The drinks are also okay for the price, despite the long lines... We had a serious problem with one of our tours purchased INSIDE the hotel That hasn't been resolved. Don't buy the tours, stay inside the hotel. To summarize, the experience was okay, 2/5. The employees' tipping culture ruins the experience and lowers the establishment's rating. Next time I'll pay a little more to see if I can avoid that. My suggestion to the hotel (as I already mentioned in feedback I sent them) is that they train or pay their staff better so that they can provide better service to guests, and a good portion of the problems will already be solved.

Recently stayed through GoBlue Tours for spring break. For what we paid, it was great! Very close to the bright blue beaches, and the property was nice. Rooms were very clean. The food was questionable, but none of my group got sick. The fresh pizzas and tacos were great. The hotel also had no problem stocking our room with plenty of water bottles daily as well as extra towels and sodas. For what we paid ~799/5days I was expecting a lot worse!! We really enjoyed our stay, the reviews online make it seem so much worse but it wasn't bad at all.

We had a great stay and a very pleasant experience. The service was amazing, and the food was excellent. I especially loved the themed restaurants. The only issue I noticed was with the room cleaning. While the room itself was cleaned well, the bed was not made properly, and the bed sheets were not changed during our stay. Aside from that, everything was excellent!

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the hotel. It is by no means worthy of five stars; if I am very generous, I might give it four, but realistically it deserves only three stars. The hotel is clean, looks decent, and the staff are friendly, but that is where the positives end. Very few employees speak English, the food is average—often better in three-star hotels. Sun loungers by the pools are constantly occupied, as guests reserve them early in the morning by placing towels on them and only come to the pool after 3:00 PM. This behavior is not supervised, and the hotel staff allow it to continue. One day I even had to lie on the grass until a lounger became available. Housekeeping provided too few towels every day, and one day we did not receive any at all. It was difficult to communicate this, as the staff do not understand English. Despite leaving a daily tip of $5 or $10, we never once received additional small towels. Yesterday, the hotel was without water for half the day, which caused further inconvenience. You can imagine the condition of the shared restrooms. Overall, we were very disappointed with a hotel advertised as five-star. In other parts of the world, a five-star rating represents a completely different level of service than what is offered here.

Very fun trip. We had 5 kids under 8 and they all thoroughly enjoyed it! Yeraldine from the First Club made us some amazing drinks and provided a first class experience. The kids loved getting virgin drinks of all kinds and she took her time with them. While the food options were great, we always looked forward to a fried egg and omelette from Sasa at the main buffet. He made every kid smile and look forward to breakfast every day! Will happily return.

Our first trip to the DR was a great experience overall, especially since we found such a good deal here. However, while we loved many aspects of our stay, there are several areas where the hotel could elevate the guest experience. ​What we loved: ​Dining: The food and service were excellent, particularly at the Italian restaurant. ​Staff: The hospitality was a highlight—everyone was incredibly warm and courteous. ​The Beach: Stunning views and very easy access to the sand and water. ​Areas for improvement: ​Wi-Fi: The connectivity is very poor. We had no signal at the buffet or the Kids Club. The resort needs signal amplifiers to ensure coverage in common areas. ​Buffet Labeling: As limited meat-eaters, it was difficult to distinguish between pork and chicken dishes. Clearer food labels are a must for guests with dietary preferences. ​Kids Club: The staff member (Odeline) was lovely and extremely loving. But the facility was disappointing. There was no AC (making it uncomfortably hot), and the play area was under construction for our entire 4-day stay. ​Entertainment Schedule: Most shows conflict with the 6:00 PM dinner rush.

We had a very nice stay! Food was amazing, friendly animation team that was taking care of fun nights and we had very lovely waiter in the restaurant. Onery always greeted us with huge smile and provided the best service! I hope to come back soon.

Great resort, great restaurants, great staff! Services provaded at top level. At night it was a little loudly, strollers and motos used by staff at night shift were so loud sometimes, recomendation for hotel is to start use a quiet electric vehicles. Food was delicious at any of restaurant that we have out meals. Sun club beach was not crowed, best recomendation. Beach bars, snacks, sunbeds, beach towels, pools, music… Coco caffe- 24h open- for coffe lovers. The room was spacious and comfortable. Always smiling staff- made our every day calm and relaxed. Two excursions were canceld because of heavy rain so we had to wait for our money back 3 days - thats the only thing that we wasn’t happy at all, but if you pay by dollars or euros they don’t have at hotel deposit so they have to go to the office(out of resort) … or that what has been told to us. Gym is big enough and also not crowedy. We skiped two excursions but rain haven’t ruin our vacai. The whole resort is an oasis, so calm and green, morning walks are the best!

Set your expectations lower. Now cut them in half. There now you’ll enjoy drinking 4oz shots of beer from a line 3 miles long. Also, you will receive 2 minutes to eat breakfast, if you’re late you’ll be met with a satisfied smile of “too late” from the wonderfully pleasant staff. Also the beer dissolves the paper cup in your hand, so whether you wanted to drink that 4 oz of beer quickly or not, you’re going to.

Sunscape dominicus Google lists this as a 5star resort, I would downgrade it a little bit to a 4 or 4.5star, due to crowds. The quality is great, the amenities are great, but there are 1800 other people here and lines are long, buffets get swamped and picked over, at prime dining time you struggle to find an open table or clean coffee cups. At the beach and pool, if you arrive after 9am you won't get a chair. Due to the crowds, I don't think this is truly an exclusive 5star resort. Now for the good...Rooms are large, with a nice balcony. Bed was comfortable, TV has lots of options in many different languages, and wifi is fast, even for video streaming. Everything in the room was as expected for a quality hotel. The pool is huge with a dedicated kids area, big twisty slide, numerous bars serving included cocktails and booze. The private beach on the Caribbean is white sand and turquoise water, filled with palm trees and palapas for shade. Swimming is mostly soft sand, water shoes not a requirement. For included food there is the buffet restaurant open B,L,D. For Dinner there are several waitress served restaurants fully included: Mexican, Japanese, Amazonian, Grill, and Italian. All are good quality and nice. We did each a different night. This is all inclusive, but there still exist some optional upcharges: Premium wine and spirits (basic house quality included), fancy romantic dinner on the beach, fancy seafood restaurant on the pier, spa services, scuba diving, transfers and shore excursions, and member's club giving access to less crowded beach​-pool​-restaurant​-bar​-lounge​-etc. We don't do all inclusive that much, since we try not to eat and drink to gluttony level. But if you enjoy this type of resort, Sunscape Dominicus is a good choice. It was very nice.​ A neutral comment, I didn't find this to be a plus, nor a minus- but this resort is heavily favored by Europeans, there are very few Americans here.

Of course, you will say this is not true and that almost no guests were sick. However, I spoke to many people around the hotel and did not meet a single person who did not have the same problem. When I went to reception to report this, the young man there was extremely rude. Instead of listening or showing concern, he became defensive and dismissive. This seems to be how the hotel deals with problems: deny everything and blame the guests. In our last few days, the situation became shocking. People were vomiting around the buffet during meal times. Only then did the hotel start giving out hand sanitiser before entering the restaurant. But the problem is not the guests. Something is seriously wrong with the water, the food, or the hygiene. Instead of properly investigating, the hotel keeps saying they are “not aware” of any issue. This was not our first trip to the Dominican Republic, and we have never experienced anything like this before. For anyone who has already booked this hotel, please be careful: • Do not drink the water they pour into your glass during meals • Do not use ice For us, pizza and French fries were the only food we felt safe eating. This was clearly not a virus. Babies who were fed mainly on their mothers’ milk, formula, or food brought by their parents stayed healthy. That says a lot. This experience was stressful and upsetting. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into constant worry about getting sick. I would never return and strongly warn others to think carefully before booking this hotel.
