We stayed at Hotel Villa del Mar and overall had a great short stay. The room with the jacuzzi was fantastic — the view was amazing and the room itself felt a bit short but good for relaxing.
The staff were consistently nice, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The bars were ok: service was fast and everything was well organized
A couple of small downsides: the buffet is a fairly basic standard buffet, and the dining room felt too brightly lit with little ambience. That said, for a short getaway it’s a solid choice, and I’d definitely recommend it for a quick stay with a great view.

I gave this hotel 3 • We have been to this hotel previous and I think it was a 5 • I think that it’s under new management because male person comes across as abrupt at reception .
Myself is partially disabled when we arrived we were booked in and given our room number etc at this time it seemed busy we were on the 3rd floor and had to wait for the lift to serve 9 floors as the 2nd was out of order this caused delays getting to your room speaking with other customers this has been the case since October another customer said it was the same in February last year !
When my wife went to reception as we were there for 10 days enquired about the lift she was told DUNNO ?? Abruptly.
Apart from this there was no issue room was spotless sheets changed daily etc , Dining area also could not complain staff went above and beyond, a special Thankyou to Venetta she made our stay complete Thankyou x

3/5 – Disappointing for a 4-star – shocking attitude from reception ruins it
Just got back from a week at Villa Del Mar and sadly I can’t recommend it.
The good bits first:
• Location is honestly brilliant – 2 minutes from Levante beach, loads of bars and restaurants right on your doorstep
• Rooms are genuinely big and clean – proper spacious, modern bathroom with great big walk-in shower + bath combo
• Alexa in every room was a nice little touch
• Drinks were actually decent – especially the cocktails from the bar, not the usual watered-down rubbish you get in some places
But unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives by a mile:
Reception staff are hands-down the rudest and most uninterested I’ve ever come across in a 4* hotel.
The guy who’s always sat there with a headset on literally couldn’t care less if you live or die. Zero eye contact, zero interest, answers in one-word grunts if you’re lucky. If you actually need something doing you can feel that you’re massively inconveniencing him. Honestly – best advice is just don’t bother going to reception unless you absolutely have to.
We were ultra all-inclusive. On check-out day we asked very politely:
“We arrived at 5pm on day 1, so can we stay for lunch at 1pm after 12pm check-out?”
Answer: flat “No.”
No explanation, no “sorry”, no suggestion of a solution. Just “No.”
For ultra all-inclusive that’s pretty poor in my opinion.
Only one working lift the entire week. The second one was “being repaired” the whole time we were there – so you’re queuing 8–10 minutes for the single lift or walking up 7–8 floors. Not great when you’re coming back tired from the beach .
Food was fresh enough but incredibly repetitive. After day 3 you’re just eating the same things rearranged on the plate. Breakfast was okay but lunch and dinner became a bit of a chore.
For a 4-star hotel in 2026 this level of service (especially from reception) is honestly unacceptable.
Nice rooms and good location can’t save a hotel when the staff clearly don’t want you there.
Sorry Villa Del Mar – 2 stars from us and we won’t be back.

This was the first time we visited Benidorm and stayed at Villa Del Mar Hotel and we were very pleased with our stay. All staff was very friendly and no ask was too much trouble! Thank you to everyone but, big thank you to Angie from reception who helped us changing from a disabled room to a see side view room!!! Special thanks to Gina and Dorina from restaurant, they dis make a difference to our stay!!!
What a wonderful experience! We can't wait to be back again!

We are at the Village del Mar now , we moved our holiday from the Flamingo Oasis. It’s is a front row hotel with uninterrupted views of the Poniente Beach and bay. We have a sea view room which has the fabulous views. The windows open so it’s like having a balcony. We are all inclusive . The hotel now has their own bar next door which is great in the evening and also there is a bar up on the beautiful roof terrace. There are plenty of seats up there and sun beds. It is a gentle 10 min stroll into the old town at night and about 15minutes into the new town. The old town is really lovely. We went on the open top bus tour of Benidorm this morning and are so pleased we chose this hotel instead of the Flamingo Oasis which is a long way from the beach and set amongst other high rise blocks of apartments and hotels and the very very busy Levante beach side on Benidorm .
The food is good with masses of choice every day and the drinks are excellent. The mini bar is stock with wine, beers and soft drinks and is free. There is a water machine on each floor . The hotel is a little dated admittedly but spotlessly clean . Lovely new towels , changed daily and excellent bedding on very comfortable beds. I would recommend you pay for a sea view as it is well worth it.We will definitely be back. The weather is perfect for sunbathing at the minute and the town is gearing up for the festa which starts at the weekend.
