We stayed at Vanilla Garden Hotel for four nights to celebrate our anniversary. Before arriving, I sent the hotel an email explaining the occasion and made a few small requests, such as a complimentary room upgrade or something to mark the celebration. The hotel replied acknowledging my message, but nothing was done — no decoration, no fruit, no cake, no gesture of any kind.
Check-in was easy and straightforward with a welcome drink, and I want to mention that the staff at both reception and the restaurant were genuinely friendly and pleasant — no complaints there. However, room cleaning is virtually non-existent. Housekeeping only replaced towels and didn’t remove rubbish or properly clean the room during our stay.
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because it’s adults-only, expecting a bit of peace and quiet. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Every morning around 7:30, loud construction work began in the courtyard — constant drilling and banging that went on throughout the day. This made it impossible to rest, have a lie-in, or even relax by the pool. It showed a complete lack of consideration for guests.
The hotel is centrally located, which is convenient, but it’s clear that it needs a major upgrade. The rooms and bathrooms are dated and not maintained to a four-star standard. Our toilet, for example, kept running continuously unless you spent several minutes trying to fix it yourself.
Overall, I’d rate this a 3 out of 5. It’s an okay stay if you value location, but the facilities, maintenance, and guest experience fall short of what a four-star hotel should offer.

Stayed March 2026. Reception staff were great, pool area us stunning, room unfortunately didn't match . Flooring chipped and spongy, chipped tiles in bathroom, shower tray cracked , and woodwork on Balcony rotten with paint peeling . Strange to have a microwave in the room but no cutlery or plates etc ?
Very good entrance system , with built in Alarm , and double glazing was very good at keeping noise out .

We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. The room, service and general atmosphere is good. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. I want to give a special thank you to Mario who made us feel very welcome and gave us plenty of insight on what to do in the area. If you’re looking for a classy place with enough peace and hygiene then this is the place to go

We have just come back from a week at the Vanilla Garden Boutique Hotel. We were greeted at reception by a lovely gentleman who immediately offered us a welcome drink. We chose a nice cold glass of cava.
The rooms are very spacious, we had a terrace with a table and chairs. There is a microwave, fridge and kettle in the room. There is a small charge for the safe. The bathroom is a good size with a walk in shower . There is a great hairdryer in the bathroom, unfortunately, the cable was not long enough to reach up to dry my hair. That said, this is my only negative point. The pool area is nice, lots of sunbeds, the pool itself isn't hot, it is aired so no freezing cold shocks getting in.
The food is lovely and the service is great. What a great bunch of young waiters and waitresses. I can't forget our maid, who kept our room and bathroom spic and span. I have to give a special mention to the chef Rafaela. That man is super cheerful, so polite and he makes the best omelettes.
We knew that the hotel was away from the strip, that's not our sort of night out. A 7-8 minute walk in the opposite direction and you are on Costa Adeje. Lots of bars and restaurants at a much slower pace than Playa de las Americas. It's simply a choice thing, whatever suits you.
