The Marilis Hill Resort & Spa definitely does not deserve a 5-star rating.
The room was very average and clearly worn out. The hotel needs renovation, and in some places there were even signs of mold.
The food was disappointing and barely deserves 3 out of 5. The selection was limited, and the quality was far below what you would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel.
The “Ultra All Inclusive” concept means almost nothing here. The only beer available was cheap local Turkish beer with virtually no taste, and there was very little choice of other alcoholic drinks.
Overall, this hotel was a disappointment. It does not match its advertised rating, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a real 5-star holiday experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Turkey, which claims to be a 5-star property, but unfortunately, my experience was far below that standard closer to a 2–3 star level at best.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
Hygiene standards were disappointing. The crockery used in the restaurant appeared cheap and poorly maintained. Glasses often had visible water stains, suggesting they were not properly washed or polished. Overall cleanliness did not match what is expected from a 5-star hotel.
Food & Dining Experience
The food was very bland, lacked freshness, and remained largely the same every day with little to no variety. The dessert selection was also underwhelming and poorly prepared. During my stay, I mostly had to rely on simple options like French fries and baklava, as there were very limited edible choices.
Facilities & Environment
The basement area where the gym and spa are located had a strong unpleasant smell, which made the experience uncomfortable and uninviting. This significantly reduced the appeal of the wellness facilities.
Staff & Service
Staff courtesy was lacking throughout the stay. There was a general absence of basic hospitality no smiles, minimal interaction, and poor customer service. Communication was also a major issue, as hardly anyone spoke English, including some of the managers. This made even simple requests difficult to handle.
Drinks & Service Consistency
Drink preparation was inconsistent. Only a few staff members seemed to know how to properly prepare beverages, leading to unreliable service depending on who was on shift.
Positive Aspect
The swimming pool was well-maintained, clean, and visually appealing. It was the only highlight of the property and provided a pleasant experience during the stay.
Overall Impression
Despite being marketed as a 5-star hotel, the overall experience did not meet even basic 3 star expectations. Improvements are urgently needed in hygiene, food quality, staff training, and overall service standards.

We had been planning to stay at this hotel because our friends were already vacationing there, and unfortunately their experience — and ours — turned out to be extremely disappointing.
When our friends asked at the reception about accommodation for two people, they were told that a room would cost €75 per night. However, when we arrived the next day, the staff suddenly demanded $100 just for the opportunity to spend a few hours on the hotel territory and have dinner — without any room provided and even without the possibility of ordering alcoholic drinks. The logic behind such absurd pricing is completely beyond me. It honestly felt like they were counting on the fact that since we had already arrived, we would have no choice but to agree.
On top of that, we were shocked by the rude, arrogant, and disrespectful attitude from the staff. Instead of hospitality, we were met with hostility and unpleasant behavior throughout the conversation.
We obviously decided not to stay there. We also saw the beach area, which was extremely poorly maintained — old, neglected, and far away from the hotel itself.
Overall, this was a very negative experience from start to finish. I absolutely cannot recommend this place to anyone.

We visited the hotel in May. The weather was warm and lovely, but the water in both the pool and the sea was a bit too cold. This is marketed as a 5-star hotel, which feels wrong to me. If you ask me, this is more like a decent 3-star hotel. The rooms: Perfectly fine and okay. The food: Okay as well, nothing special. The drinks: The alcohol does the job, so no complaints there.Shopping: Good opportunities for buying fake designer clothes nearby.Overall, a completely okay hotel, but do not expect 5-star luxury. Maximum 3 stars from me.

Well what I can say is definitely not 5* hotel max 3. Hotel clean room modern look but u can heard your neighbours next door also when they flush the toilet. Staff not included front desk manager she was miserable women and rude as I am surprise she got that position with her attitude, rest of staff really nice special barmen outdoor Halil which he is so lovely and helpful with everything, Ayisha which she look after everyone and try make lots of activity with guests. Mr DJ he was brilliant make smile everyone and try keep happy everyone, them free are brilliant with kids. That is only good thing which I can say was good about. Now food if u want make diet for week good place as food serve over there absolutely shocking my kids for week only eten chips or pasta with tomatoes sauce. Every day the same food, old feta cheese re-use food from previous day just warm up I think in microwave, all sauce watery, butter pack left for days on the heat stink and source, the kitchen chef which don’t know how to make scrambled eggs even when we show her photo and video, not working juice machine only available water, salted yogurt or coffee machine. Snack bar open just for 2h serve pre cooked burger. Pool depth same everywhere to shallow, only one life guard between 2-4 when he open a water slide. Loose tiles around the pool which is dangerous for kids the ladder was loose and move when u try to walk on it not secure. Entertainment none, Irish pub close, children area close or they can open for extra fee. Bar serve only one beer and 1 cocktail available as they run out of stock. Bar staff at night make big punch with all random stuff saying it’s sex on the beach. All staff work over hours 7 days a week long shift some of them they don’t have day off for weeks. The only section of beach which u can use its all pebbles and sharp rocks only positive is u have all inclusive beach bar and free sun lounges. Free WiFi but losing connection all the time soon when u go to pool.
