We have just arrived back home from a lovely stay at Sol Barbican (28th June - 9th July), we were on the 3rd floor and had the 1 bedroom apartment, it was spacious and clean, the aircon is fab, great sized balcony with 2 sunbeds, 4 chairs & table and 2 good sized clothes racks for dry towels and swimwear.
All the staff were fabulous! A special mention to Carlos and Max for the entertainment around the pool, the fitness classes were hilarious, usually ending up with Carlos in the pool. 😂
Sunbeds are not allowed to be reserved until 10am and you could still take your pick of locations at 11am. The pool was a nice temperature when you entered, you didn’t get the shock of cold water.
It’s an 18 minute down hill walk to the seafront for a large selection of restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe, less than €5 for a taxi ride to get back to the hotel after you have had your fill of food and drink. 😉
Maspalomas is a 50 minute walk or less than €10 in a taxi for another large selection of shops & restaurants/bars.

We stayed at the hotel from February 11th to February 18th and had a spacious double room with a terrace. The room itself was very large and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and every detail of our stay was carefully explained.
The breakfast buffet was impressive, and the service staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. It was immediately noticeable how much the hospitality here differs positively from what we are used to in Germany. Everyone we encountered was polite, attentive, and genuinely kind.
The hotel’s entertainment and programs were outstanding, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The housekeeping was excellent, and every request we had was fulfilled promptly and with care.
We can only highly recommend this hotel. The combination of spacious rooms, exceptional breakfast, and outstanding service staff makes it an unforgettable experience. If you are planning a stay in Gran Canaria, this hotel is an excellent choice!

Best place i have ever stayed. The Bungalow apartments are beautiful and really nice. I wish there was a small pool outside on every porch though. And the cleaning wasn't great. I had to ask for cleaners just a couple of hours after we arrived because it was lots of dust, hair and even nails!!! Someone has been cutting their toenails in the sofa. Eeewww. But otherwise beautiful hotel.

Location was great. Everything was near. 2/3 pools were warm, which was nice. Rooms were cleaned every day.
Only thing that slightly bothered was the sewer smell from the toilet.
Other thing was, beacause our room faced the busy road and loungebar, the noice was quite loud. But luckily, when you closed the bedroom door, you couldnt here anything. Overall expirience was really nice and could go to this hotel again.

We spent 3 weeks in January in a two bed bungalow. Everything was fine other than the living area could get a little chilly in the evening. Breakfast was a generous buffet and the staff were polite and friendly. The place was extremely well located and very well run.
