I have stayed in this hotel many times as the location is fabulous. The suites on the 8th floor are spacious with a very large terrace and incredible sea view.
Just ended a week's holiday and overall an enjoyable stay.
A word of caution though about using the pool bar. We ordered a light lunch and a drink and were told by waiter that as we were "all inclusive" we could only eat in the bar if we paid cash. As we were not all inclusive, as stated quite clearly on our hotel card this was not a problem. I signed for our meal and afterwards asked for our bill. Eventually, after several requests and around half an hour the waiter told us how much we owed. I paid him in cash and thought all was ok. At checkout however we discovered that the lunch had been charged to our room. Easy mistake?
No, when I queried this I was told on no uncertain terms that this was not the case and there was nothing the hotel could do as the staff are not always the same at the pool bar! Felt as though I was stupid and a liar.
Be warned...do not pay cash at the pool bar and if you do don't expect a positive outcome at checkout from reception staff.
What a shame, poor end to a good week

Excellent stay. The hotel is in a prime location, directly in front of a wide, beautiful beach with easy access. One of the highlights is the indoor swimming pool, which is perfect regardless of the weather and very well maintained. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm and relaxing. Ideal for both families and couples looking to enjoy the beach while also having quality indoor facilities. I would definitely recommend it and would gladly return

If you wish to be insulted, go here
Just left this holiday after 15 days from the 24th of March and nearly 4000 pounds waisted.
We’ve been all over the world and hundreds hotels but never ever met such rude attitude of the reception staff towards the clients.
I ‘ve been called “assertive” and my husband “mental health”! Don’t they understand that in this way they are losing their clients? Do they care?
And also, why? What have we done? Nothing extraordinarily. We are not fussy. But we booked specially this hotel almost 2 months ago because of
1.Its advertised water spa facilities called talasso spa- inside swimming pool and jacuzzi. Which my husband needed because of his disabilities.
2.We requested rooms next to each other with the sea view.
When we arrived, we were offered 2 rooms in the end of long corridor totally impossible for my husband to reach them and only approximately close to each other but not at all next to each other. Young and very assertive staff insisted that they are next. After long argument they moved us the following day and gave us rooms 632 and 633. But they were next only on paper! Obviously, the staff never seen them and refused to do it and to acknowledge the corner gap and the distance between them. Then a young man with the beard finally came because my insistence and he said: But we do not have others! And went off. The girls in the reception where shouting victoriously behind my back: we won’t change your room. And we were stack there. Room 632 was looking to a huge dirty roof terrace, lots of rubbish in front of you every day (See the pictures). There where bones as well. Room like this should not be offered ever. No view, stink pipes (sewer ventilation pipes) in front of you and dreadfull smell of course and we could not open the window. On the top of everything they started some work on the roof so no privacy! Yes, no air, no view, no privacy.
2.Spa facilities. Jacuzzi was nor working at all until we were there. We understand it has not been working for months.
Inside swimming pool was not working at the beginning as well althogh the manageress and the staff were promising every day. After several days, may be because of our insistence it was repaired for the benefit of the other elderly clients of the hotel.
Generally, the hotel is tired, chips and cracks in our rooms. Cockroaches. Of course, denied from the reception staff who refused finally even to answer in English and almost threw to me the not working room key.
We never heard please, thank you, or, God forbid, sorry.
The manageress obviously trained them well to lie and be rude. Apart for offering us 2 glasses of wine she insulted us directly several times.
Pity for our hope and expectations to have a good holiday!

I recently stayed in your Costa Calma Palace Hotel from September 11th to September 18th. On Day 5 of my stay I found bed bugs in my room and requested to change rooms. I showed the hotel general manager, Priscilla Ter Haar, a bed bug I put in my tissue and photos of my bed linen, which had stains of bed bug faeces and bed bugs running on it. She may have moved me to another room but did not help me move my things when I was in deep distress , did not apologise once and provided no help with cleaning my possibly infected clothes after I had asked. I had to go to a laundrette away from the hotel to clean my clothes in case the bed bugs had infected them.

The reception staff need to learn to smile. The hotel is FULL of Germans. There is a lady who greeted us at dinner with blonde hair, she is the only nice person that works in this hotel. The rooms are massive and incredibly clean & we had a sea view which was beautiful!! It is super quiet so if you’re looking for lots to do, this place is not for you. Everything advertised they don’t have, no aqua fit, no bike hire. Don’t waste your time. The only good thing was the food.
