Update, the hotel management have given me a discount for the days I didn't stay and promised to look into my complaints.
Staff weren't friendly and we're a little rude.
Hotel needs some maintenance.
Got to the room, a junior suite and it had bunk beds in it as well as a king sized bed 🤷
Took a good 3 minutes to get into the room as the door readers don't really work well.
Room wasn't great.
View of the ocean was magnificent.
Bed was super uncomfortable, asked reception and they had house keeping add a topper.
Still the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on.
No beach access
20 minute drive, 300 baht taxi ride to the actual beach.
Cabana area was old and really shabby with ripped mattresses.
No bean bags, in fact no beach
No access to other places along the water front either.
Pool was so dirty that we didn't even try it.
Expensive even by Australian prices.
Checked out after 1 night and the hotel refused to refund any of the stay (I had booked for 5 nights).
There are many great hotel along Cha-am beach this is not one of them.

Good hotel overall. It was very quiet and felt a bit empty during our stay. The pool is nice, breakfast was very good, and there is a large parking area. The hotel looks somewhat dated and has definitely seen better days. Rooms are slightly worn, and when sitting on the chair we noticed visible dust under the TV cabinet. The overhead (ceiling) shower was not functioning properly — it was barely dripping and only hot water was coming out regardless of the temperature setting. The sink tap was leaking at the base, leaving the countertop wet all the time.
However, during checkout after paying for bar drinks and laundry (PIN entered, payment approved), the receptionist placed my bank card on the table with the back side (CVV visible) facing up and took a photo of it with her personal phone before returning it with the receipt. This looked completely inappropriate. When I asked why she photographed my card details, I did not receive a clear explanation. I had to block my card afterwards for security reasons.

I recently stayed at Radisson Resort & Spa Hua Hin and unfortunately the experience was deeply disappointing and far below what should reasonably be expected from an international 4-star hotel brand.
While the ocean view was pleasant, nearly every other aspect of the stay reflected serious shortcomings in service standards, cleanliness, maintenance, and hospitality management.
The room itself felt poorly maintained, with noticeable dust, unpleasant odors, and an overall outdated condition. The elevator waiting time was unacceptable, at times exceeding 15 minutes. The key card system was unreliable, and the bedding was rough, uncomfortable, and caused irritation to the skin to the point that housekeeping had to replace it.
What concerned me even more was the restaurant experience. Cleanliness standards appeared inadequate, and finding an insect inside a beverage should have been treated as a serious issue. However, the staff response showed little urgency, concern, or professionalism. No sincere apology was offered, and the reaction suggested disbelief rather than accountability.
As for the food, while taste is subjective, the overall quality of ingredients and execution did not justify the pricing whatsoever. Several dishes were either poorly balanced or carelessly seasoned, lacking the refinement expected from a hotel operating under a major international chain.
Most disappointing of all was the service culture itself. From the front desk to the restaurant team, the hospitality level consistently felt closer to that of a budget hotel rather than a property marketed as a 4-star destination. This reflects not only staff performance, but also deeper issues in training, supervision, and management standards.
Overall, this stay did not reflect the reputation, professionalism, or quality typically associated with a large international hotel brand. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity for meaningful improvement.

Great pool with different depths. They need a shaded area for the children's pool and clearer signs to warn where the deeper water and steps are. Good loungers and umbrellas. Towel service at pool was good. The surface around the pool is poor as small gravel pieces are breaking away and stick to your feet as well as having different levels. Lobby great. Staff helpful. Hotel rooms dated and need upgrade, especially the bathrooms. Air conditioning good. Housekeeping only changed the sheets after I stripped the bed. Breakfast was fantastic; so much choice and great quality. The gym was very disappointing, a small room with only one running machine. There were only a few machines were old. Gym exercise balls very grubby, obviously not cleaned. The lifts were efficient, but needed cleaning and were very warm. The staircase between the floors looked like it had never been cleaned on the fourteen years the hotel had been open. Interior paintwork on the floors to the room was peeling off in places and doors to room were in need of replacement. Internet signal was often weak, and occasionally non-existant.

An honest review of Radisson Hua Hin. The resort is massive with plenty of open space, large rooms, a great swimming pool, and a beachfront location. However, check-in was a bit slow, and the service from the male front desk staff wasn't very good. I also found the rooms to be a bit dated. If they refresh the rooms and improve front desk service, it would be perfect. Other than that, everything else was good! 🌊🏊♀️
