Our stay at Minos Hotel was a great experience. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff were truly top-notch—they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is relaxed and enjoyable.
The food was good, with a nice variety of options. The rooms are standard, clean, and comfortable. The location is also excellent, within easy reach of the beach and the center of Rethymno.
Overall, it's a hotel we would definitely recommend. Great value, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Lovely hotel, we did the all inclusive package for 3 days. The food was lovely, especially dinner, every night there was something different. The selection of drinks were also great 😊 3 pools, we mostly used the one on the rooftop as there were no kids. There’s also a small gym which has enough for a good workout.
Room was spacious, clean and quiet.
They also surprised me with a birthday cake to my room one evening. We didn’t tell them it was my birthday, they must have spotted it on my passport when checking in. Thought that was very nice touch :)
Very close to the beach, old town is a 20-25 minute walk. Lots of bars and restaurants around!

The hotel is well located, which is definitely a big plus. However, I'll start with the negatives.
The food was very disappointing. Although there seemed to be a wide variety of dishes, most of them were either dried out or simply lacked flavor. It was also unreasonable to be told that we were not allowed to fill our child's water bottle with water during breakfast. Breakfast itself was actually the best meal of the day, despite being quite repetitive.
There was only one elevator for the entire hotel, and it took around three minutes just to travel three floors, even without stopping. Another downside was that the elevator, hallways, and restaurant were not air-conditioned. The restaurant's air conditioning was only switched on toward the end of our stay.
On the positive side, the entertainment staff member was absolutely amazing. It's rare to see someone so dedicated and enthusiastic, and I honestly don't know where he found the energy in such high temperatures. The rooms were spotless and well soundproofed. The pools were good as well, although it made little sense that to get from the small pool with the slides to the main pool, you had to walk through the hotel lobby, where the reception staff seemed to expect guests to be completely dry before passing through—which was quite unrealistic and rather absurd.

This is a great Hotel in a great location, it's near to the beach, about a 5 minute walk, and to the old town is about 20 minute walk! There's a supermarket nearby if you wanted to pop and get anything for a snack or a bottle of wine for drinking on your balcony in the evening. Although sitting down at the bar was always our favourite thing to do. The staff were really friendly and always very helpful, always had a smile on their faces, especially the entertainment staff, special shout out to Timothy and his crew!! We played "water polo", which was hilarious and the team that I was on, always won, which was great and some of the other guys played darts!
We booked breakfast with the booking, but you can also go "all inclusive" if you wanted to. It's buffet style eating, but that's the best thing, you can eat as much as you want and you can try a bit of everything. Every evening there was a different style buffet on, Asian, International, Greek etc. And breakfast was a buffet too. If you don't go for the "all inclusive", the evening buffet will cost you 18€, which is a real bargain.
We used the spa facilities there too, and spoilt ourselves with a body scrub and massage, well worth the money, I had a lady called Tania, she was brilliant and so attentive. The atmosphere in the spa, and the rooms themselves, is very relaxing and pricewise, we couldn't complain.
We went as a family, there were 10 of us and we spent most of our time chilling by the pool during the day and going into town in the evening, there you'll find plenty to do, then finishing off back at the hotel sitting out on the terrace having a few drinks before going to bed. There was also entertainment on every night, but the best was when we did an unplanned karaoke evening🤣that was hilarious.
All in all the hotel is a perfect choice and well worth the money.

A wonderful hotel with a very friendly and welcoming staff. We really enjoyed our stay! The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, with a great variety of food.
We are from Ukraine, and this was our first time visiting the island of Crete. It is an incredibly beautiful place, and we will definitely come back every year.
This hotel is perfect for families with children. Our 3-year-old daughter absolutely loved it! There is a kids’ club, a children’s pool, and every evening the animation team entertains the children with fun activities.
We also met a lovely little girl from France in the kids’ club. Her name is Luena, and she was very sweet and kind.
Thank you for making our holiday so special. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to come back again!
