It's overall a very good hotel. It's got some very good improvements over the last couple of years, but still some things to fix.
Our room was amazing, great view, could use a little more interior and a couple of decorations. The bathroom needs renovation and the water pressure is soemwhat low. You sometimes noticed, the cleaning staff didn't detail clean the sink or bathtub, but overall they were always nice and cleaned the necessary things.
The food is good most of the time, but there are some things they just can't do. As a german: the bread is "meh", potatoes could use a little more salt but if you like the greek food you'll be happy.
The cocktails are somewhere between bad and average: All of them get the Job done, but apparently the Barkeeper Puts the Same booze into All of them. You notice a difference between the cocktails the ones you pay for and the ones that are included (about half of them are).
The pools are good and you always seem to find a Spot at one of them.
The Service staff at Pool bar and restaurant are always super nice and helpful, can't complain about them at all.
Now for the only thing that REALLY bothered me: The dishes, especially the plates aren't always clean, they sometimes have spots or food residue on them that wasn't cleaned entirely. I just grabbed another plate in those instances.
The WiFi is pretty much nonexistant outside of reception, Bar and Restaurant.
You get a lot of bang for your buck here, I'd totally give 5 Stars if it weren't for those minor issues.

I would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Hersonissos Village for their incredibly warm welcome, care, and genuine attention to guests. We vacationed here as a family and had so many wonderful experiences.
Special thanks to the waitresses Olga and Victoria. For us Ukrainians, their attention, kindness, and support were especially valuable. Who else but Ukrainians can understand what we’re going through right now? Amid the war and constant tension, a vacation like this is extremely important, as it helps us recharge and restore our inner strength.

Food was excellent, nice sized pool with great views and fantastic staff.
Town is a short walk away and the HaBeach bar is a must

We are currently staying at this hotel and everything is wonderful.
Our room 2312 has a beautiful sea view, it’s clean and very quiet.
The staff is extremely friendly. The administrator, Alex, did everything possible to check us in earlier than the standard time and has been very helpful with all our questions.
The food is tasty and varied. We enjoy the white wine, and the local spirits make for excellent cocktails.
We haven’t used the pool, as we came here specifically for the sea. It’s just a short 5–7 minute walk away, which is very convenient.
This hotel is a solid 4-star option.
We are happy and having a wonderful vacation here.

Our stay at Hersonissos Village & Bungalow was truly wonderful. The food was excellent and plentiful – from a rich breakfast to delicious lunch and dinner. The all-inclusive package is fantastic, as you can enjoy food and drinks from morning until late at night without any worries. The two pools are lovely, and the game room is a fun addition (with only a small fee per play), while table tennis is free.
The views are absolutely breathtaking – we chose a sea-view room, and the upgrade was more than worth it. On top of that, we were pleasantly surprised with a fruit platter, excellent wine, and bottled water in the room. The main pool is spacious, ranging from shallow to deep (0.40 m to 3.00 m) and about 15 meters long, which makes it perfect for both relaxing and swimming.
In the past we also stayed at Abaton, which is part of the same group. Of course, Abaton is in a different category, being much more luxurious, but we were not disappointed at all with Hersonissos Village & Bungalow. On the contrary, it offered everything we needed for a relaxing holiday, with great food, beautiful views, and excellent service.
The rooms could benefit from a few small updates, such as replacing the older flooring and refreshing the bottom of the pool where the paint has faded, but this didn’t affect our stay
Overall, everything was perfect, and we would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Crete.
