Very nice staff, clean rooms with (almost always) working A/C, nice view outside. Food in buffet is very tasty. The hotel ist very german/central european focused. The Cats were very nice too, we adopted two kittens!

Definitely not a good experience..
The food was the same every single day pork, chicken, or fish, all cooked with the same spices and no real Greek flavor.
The cocktails were just bad full of artificial syrup instead of real ingredients, so everything tasted like cough medicine.
If you’re coming as a bigger group, good luck finding a table for dinner it’s a real competition every night. There’s no proper organization, and people literally rush to grab seats.
The hotel is also on a very steep hill with a great view, but exhausting to climb during heat.
I usually don't leave bad reviews, I love all the places I go but this one was ruined with the below experience at the end.
What really ruined the whole stay was how disrespectful the staff were to my friends, who were there for their engagement trip.
They had money stolen from their room, and instead of showing concern, the reception laughed at them.
That’s something you’d never expect from a hotel claiming to be 4 stars.

1 star The most disrespectful experience we’ve ever had
We stayed at Hersonissos Village Hotel for what was supposed to be our dream engagement trip. Sadly, it turned into one of the worst and most disrespectful hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
The cleaning lady clearly expected a daily tip and when she didn’t get one, she started acting out of pure spite.
She ate the chocolates we had received for our engagement and left the empty boxes on the table, removed our shower curtain for no reason (flooding the bathroom every time we showered), and intentionally skipped changing the towels.
On our last day, €50 disappeared from my girlfriend’s wallet, which was inside a closed bag in the room.
When we went to the reception to report it, they didn’t even pretend to care.
They laughed and said: “Why would she steal only 50 euros?” no apology, no empathy, no respect.
It’s not about the money. It’s about how humiliating it felt to be treated like our experience and belongings didn’t matter.
We left deeply disappointed and disrespected and I will always regret choosing this hotel for such a meaningful trip.
If you value honesty, respect, and peace of mind stay anywhere else.

Amazing hotel I loved my stay!
The staff were lovely all so so friendly special mentions to the lovely man who took us to our room at 4am and pulled our cases. Also Dimitri at the bar was great fun and the man in charge of the restaurant with the tie and glasses was very nice and helpful.
The food was good they had themes most nights everything was cooked lovely, lunch and breakfast was the same each day but still lovely food.
The cocktails were great at night, throughout the day it was wines ouzo and beer where you could help yourself along with coffees.
The room was basic but had everything you needed and was spotless, the cleaners did a great job throughout the week and even placed our pjs in lovely’s patterns on the bed.
All facilities were good and kept clean. The locations is close to everything the only issue is the walk to and from town as there’s very little path and it’s quite a busy road, the hill is also quite steep to walk up but you wouldn’t get the beautiful views from the hotel if it wasn’t.
All in all I have loved this this holiday and would totally recommend to anyone!!

Worst hotel experience ever. Avoid!
I absolutely do not recommend Hersonissos Village Hotel to anyone. This place was a complete disappointment from start to finish.
1. Food – Yes, there’s pork, chicken and sometimes fish or lamb, but everything tastes exactly the same. Same spices, same flavor, day after day. Nothing Greek, nothing special – just the same boring food recycled every meal.
2. Drinks – Cocktails are really bad. They don’t even use real mint – only a cheap mint syrup that makes everything taste like cough medicine. The pina colada was the only one that was actually drinkable. The bartenders were nice, but that’s the only positive thing about this place.
3. Cleaning lady & room experience – The rooms are outdated, but that’s not the problem. The cleaning lady clearly expected a daily tip, and when she didn’t get one, she decided to take it herself. She ate the chocolates we received from friends (a gift for our engagement!) and had the audacity to leave the empty boxes on the table. Unbelievable.
On the last day, we realized money was missing from my wallet – about 50 euros. It’s not about the amount, it’s about the fact that someone went through our personal belongings.
And as if to make fun of us, she even took the shower curtain for no reason, leaving us to flood the bathroom every time we showered, and messed up the towel change schedule just to make things more annoying.
4. Reception’s reaction – When we went to the reception to report what happened, the brunette lady didn’t care at all. She literally said “Why would she steal only 50 euros?” and laughed. Not even a “sorry”, not even a fake promise to check or talk to the clining lady. Their reaction was pure arrogance and disrespect. I am sure this happened before
5. Location – The hotel is on a steep hill. Yes, the view is nice, but if you’re older or have a child, getting there is a nightmare.
In summary: unprofessional staff, zero accountability, and no respect for guests.
The food is bad, the drinks are worse, and you might end up missing money or your things.
If you enjoy having your chocolates eaten and your “tip” taken without permission – this hotel is perfect for you.
Otherwise, save yourself the disappointment and stay anywhere else.
We booked this through agency but never coming back. There are better options for the same amount.
