I dont know how this place has such a high rate of reviews it’s definitely wrong. I had the worst experience there. Food quality is super bad, not only talking about seasoning but also the taste was off and buffet food seemed like a leftover from previous days. I contracted multiple stomach infections and am still dealing with it only because of their buffet and restaurant food. Their seafood smelled very fishy and was served cold which is not hygienic at all (THANK GOD I DIDNT TRY IT).
Super rude staff even though I had heard they are very friendly. We had a reservation for a restaurant and because I couldn’t log into my account to show them, they gave me the biggest attitude and refused to take us in only to figure out couple minutes later that they had not checked their system. They literally look at you and start talking about you in their own language like you have done something wrong. Room was super old and didn’t even feel safe there was shattered glass at the entry of the door. The bathroom was very old and dark and dirty.
Phone service was NEVER available. Any time of the day you call it just says stay on the line and then goes to voicemail.
The beach and the pool were beautiful but everything else sucked. Worse decision for an all-inclusive resort. All I can say is, for the money we paid this wasn’t worth it all. It heavily overpriced.

This resort was an excellent destination to visit. We spent a week at this resort last week, and it was wonderful. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding! Our butler, Henry Rodriguez, was remarkable! He checked on us every day and ensured that we received any additional requests we made! The room was somewhat outdated but very clean. The reason I did not rate it 5 stars was due to a negative experience at the Mexican restaurant. We waited for 2 hours for our food, and one member of our group did not receive his order. Additionally, I believe they should provide more entertainment at the colonial poolside during the day and even offer some water sports for guests to enjoy. Aside from that, we had a fantastic experience at this resort!!

Went there in November 2025 and had an excellent time. Beach and resort was beautiful. Staff was so friendly especially Woody at the front desk was very helpful and very friendly. Food, resort, entertainment and especially the huge pool was awesome. Will definitely be going back.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Majestic Colonial and it was the best decision we could have made. We had the most wonderful time and wish our trip was longer than 10 days. Every single staff member we encountered was amazing and made our trip so memorable. The entertainment team was a true highlight: Panda, Honey, Hot Chocolate, Francis, and everyone else made every day so enjoyable and were so energetic that it was hard to not want to jump into their activities. They really were a bright spot of our honeymoon and will be part of our lasting memories. The bartenders were also incredible, so engaging, talented, and creative. We loved talking to them and watching them work, and when we asked for them to create their drink special for us, they absolutely delivered. The food at the resort was delicious. I loved eating the Dominican food that was at the buffet, it truly opened my eyes to new flavors and tastes that I want to recreate at home. The food can sometimes be hit or miss at resorts, but this was an absolute hit. There was nothing we left saying "oh I wish there was X" because it has everything you could want in a resort. The resort was very clean, though there are some parts that could use updates. Everything about the resort was incredible, and while there may have been one or two little things here or there we wished were different, we will 1000% return in the future.

The majestic colonial and elegance have been incredible for me and my fiance. The staff has been so accommodating and the resorts have been awesome. We came during Super Bowl Seattle vs. NE. The resort staff put together some fun football games for the big day. Franklin ran the games and was perfecto for keeping everyone hyped up. It was an awesome day.
