We recently stayed at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The resort is beautifully designed with a great, welcoming atmosphere and very friendly staff who always go out of their way to help.
The open pools are fantastic — spacious, clean, and surrounded by plenty of lounge areas, so it never feels crowded. The food was excellent with lots of variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious flavors — everything was clean and well presented.
Our room was comfortable, with great service throughout our stay. There are plenty of activities and entertainment options inside the hotel, so there’s always something to do. For an additional cost, you can add tours like island excursions and scuba diving, which makes the experience even more exciting.
The private beach was also beautiful — clean, relaxing, and perfect for long walks or just enjoying the ocean view.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Majestic Colonial Punta Cana to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

We had our vacation starting January 4th until the 9th the place is honestly great. My husband and I had a sweet dinner together at one of their restaurants named Taino and it was honestly so fun. The waiters are super awesome and sweet. We had Juan and Anuar serving us and they were super attentive and trying to engage with us in such a fun and friendly manner. My family and I definitely want to come back for another trip and stay at Majestic again! Thank you guys so much!
Just a star lower for rooms because they had an issue only day one for the air conditioning which was fixed upon request within 20mins. And I heard they are closing to do renovations so we are super excited to see the new upgrades. Its definitely recommended if you want an all inclusive resort with very friendly staff, beach front rooms and a huge pool with multiple bars and also a gym and casino AND a theater with themed nights for all their guests. A huge pleasure 😁

Very beautiful beach and hotel. The room itself was nice; however, it did have mold, which is somewhat understandable given the beachfront location and very humid weather.
We stayed during New Year’s Eve, and service at the restaurant on December 31st and January 1st, 2nd felt a bit off. There were moments when staff members were shouting at each other, and the service came across as somewhat presumptuous. On a few occasions, I thanked the staff after a service, but they wouldn’t even make eye contact, and for 2 times, I had staff rolling their eyes at me just because I wished to choose were to sit at the restaurant.
As the stay progressed, the service noticeably improved, which I believe was due to the hotel being less crowded.
One extremely positive highlight of our stay was our butler, Darel. His service was outstanding, incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. One night I became sick, and he immediately offered assistance and made sure I was okay. Truly exceptional service! 10/10!
Overall, it was a great stay. However, the hotel staff could benefit from more professional posture and attentiveness toward guests, especially considering the significant amount of money guests invest in their vacation at Majestic Colonial.

Our family has been coming here for three years straight. We come during the Christmas/New Year’s rush and always find the service and food up to standards. The staff here are eager to please and assist guests. The location is ideal set at a point in the Bavaro Beach. This usually results in significantly less seaweed and the resort expends much effort to keep it clear. The food at the Taino Mexican restaurant is excellente! We ate here 3 times during our trip. The flavours and food quality were top notch. The waiters and staff here were particularly eager to please guests. A special shoutout to Jean Carlos, our waiter on two of the nights. He was extremely attentive and entertaining and was a wonderful addition to the experience. A special shoutout to our favourite bartender Yohanny who is always happy to welcome us to the resort, we hope she returns to the lobby bar in the future. Finally, a huge thank you to our Dominican “hermana” Madelyn who as hostess for the various resort restaurants made sure that we would be able to fit in our large party of 9. She really made us feel like family. Thank you to the wonderful staff and the Dominican people for being so kind and welcoming!

The Majestic Colonial is one of three hotels in the group. It is a bit dated but that didn't bother us. The grounds are very well taken care of and the beach area is great. The swim up rooms offered direct access to the winding pool and swim up bar. The food options are plentiful as well with 7 restaurants, a beach buffet, a beach bbq and a grand buffet.
The service was not what I would expect at a 5 star resort. It was hard to get smiles from the majority of staff but there were some genuine staff members who were very nice.
Overall, I had a very good time, my wife and 2 year old had a good time (my Lil girl LOVED the kids park.
