Absolutely stunning location set on a hillside. The hills are steep but manageable, and there’s a bus that runs 24/7 to take you to your room. The pool is a good size with plenty of sunbeds, making it a relaxed and peaceful area. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, but there were a few downsides. The water from the taps and shower came out brown, so avoid taking a bath. There was no water provided in the rooms, and it had to be purchased from the bar at 3 euros per bottle. I ended up walking into town to buy six bottles for 2 euros, but it’s a long walk when carrying shopping. The restaurant, though clean, had repetitive food options with limited variety, and men are required to wear long trousers for dinner, which isn’t ideal in a hot country. The hotel didn’t seem to have any non-smoking areas, which wasn’t great for us, especially during meals or trying to relax by the pool. Additionally, there’s a hefty tourist tax of 10 euros per night, as it’s rated a 4-star hotel, though it feels more like a 3-star. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you can get a good deal. 😜

We booked 4 days before arriving and the reviews were mixed. We were so pleasantly surprised. We traveled with my son who is 8 years old and everything was perfect from beginning to end. Clean, well maintained, good food, very friendly staff and especially the waiters on the patio outside were amazing. The animation team was wonderful. Entertainment was great. The view fantastic and we will for sure be back. We miss it already

This hotel is a great travesty because the location, setting and general feel of the hotel is great. An amazing view and quaint village feel.
However, how the hotel is run is a huge let down. There is a distinct feeling of micro-management on every service level.
Here are some of the issues:
- Rooms are cleaned but only to a so so level. Not what I would consider a great cleanliness level and also looked tired, the curtains in our room were hanging off in areas.
- No refreshments in the rooms and by that I mean not even tea and coffee! The kettles in the room are ornaments that have never been used because of this.
- No water offered on arrival at the hotel and by that I mean in room. If you arrive on a late flight that is after the bar closing you are without water for the night as there is nowhere to go to purchase some. Even if you make the bar in time it's 3 euros a bottle.
- The restaurant is managed like it is a 5 star Michelin grade best of the best. Now that may sound great but the buffet on offer is lack luster and is the same each night with 2 or 3 of the dishes changing and rotating it seems every 2 days. It gets very dull and boring very quickly. On top of that you must wear certain attire to be allowed in to the dining room which further adds a sense of aiming too high for what is on offer. The waiters that serve only your drinks should you request them also seem to believe they are entitled to high tips... Even if they only serve you a coke for your meal. They will show their displeasure openly to other waiting staff when they don't receive a tip or a "small" one. It's embarrassing to witness. With the level of food on offer it should straight up be a buffet with self service drinks on offer with a relaxed dress code. The whole thing would feel much more relaxed. Either serve a convincing varied food offering that is worthy of proper table service or change the vibe.
- The hotel has it's own shop that has a very specific set of items in it designed so that you have to purchase certain items from the other areas of the hotel such as the bar. Again it gave off a feeling of micro-management to encourage you to spend extra on basic things like ice, water etc.
All in all the hotel could be great but is let down by bad leadership and decision making.

The location is beautiful, and the first impressions of this hotel are impressive, but that bubble soon bursts when you’re met with the first of many cons of this hotel, this place is let down badly by the management trying to squeeze every last penny from paying guests. When checking in at reception we were quickly advised that we needed to purchase water for the room as this wasn’t already provided in the room and the tap water is not safe to drink, leaving you with no option late at night but to walk over to the restaurant and purchase a bottle of water at 3 euros. We upgraded our room at the point of booking, opting for a superior double suite with sea view- When the stinky old mini bus dropped us outside our room, we were disappointed to see it was nothing like what we booked and paid extra for. We walked back down to reception who told us it was not possible to change the room due to the time and we would need to go back down in the morning to make the request, inconvenient not being able to unpack our bags on the first night. In the morning we managed to get something closer to what we originally wanted. Zero point echoing what’s already been said about this place in other reviews, and unfortunately can confirm that the negative comments are quite justified. I can agree that smart casual should be recommended attire in the dining room in the evening, but it’s just far to warm for men to be in trousers and feel that smart tailored shorts should be more than adequate attire.
The drinks in the restaurant are extremely expensive, and surely table water should be included with the price you pay for half board. Evening meals are also very dull and repetitive. When walking into the dining room at night your met by a grumpy older man who looks you up and down and doesn’t ever break into the slightest of smiles, he will bark at you to tell you where to sit in the restaurant. It’s a shame with these little details as the hotel has lots of potential to be great, it’s seriously let down by bad management and depressed looking staff.

Just came back from staying at Lagas Aegean Village. We had the most amazing holiday.
I don’t see why there’s so many negative reviews! There’s a shuttle bus you can call if your at the top of the hotel that takes you down to the main reception which we didn’t use as we were in room 209 so it was walking distance to the reception etc.
The room got cleaned everyday which is lovely considering not many hotels clean rooms daily. We also got clean towels daily also the room was spotless when we arrived!
The pool is so big and clean and there are plenty of loungers around the pool area. There are activities throughout the day and evening entertainment. The aqua gym/Aerobics was so fun ! The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. We only eat at the hotel restaurant in the evening once but it was really nice. The staff are very friendly and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which you can get into Kardamaina for €2 each way.We will definitely stay at this hotel again ! Do not let the reviews put you off Cus this hotel was stunning ! We will be back.
