My son and I stayed at the Sercotel Maya hotel during Christmas 2025. I booked a package with Jet2holidays because it was quite a cheap deal, I wasn't expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were very polite and courteous. The hotel was immaculately clean and the room spotless with an extremely good bath and shower. We stayed for four nights and every morning the smiling chamber maid tidied the room in such a way that everything seemed new and fresh. On Christmas day we had breakfast in the hotel and again the staff were very polite and helpful. The food was excellent with a large selection of different dishes. The bacon was particularly good, my son said he had never eaten such good bacon - used to the tough English varient! Anyway, I have no hesitation in giving this hotel a 10/10 and recommending this hotel as the ideal family hotel in Alacanta! My son and I will definitely be back but in the summer when we can use the swimming pool!

Staying at the Maya Alicante was a great experience. The reception staff were welcoming and professional and the catering and room staff were happy and friendly. The hotel was clean and the bedroom comfortable - I didn’t want to get out of bed it was too comfy!!
The food was good! Plenty of vegan options in the evening but not so much for breakfast although there was lots of fruit and toast which was great. We would stay again - great value for money!

This hotel lived up to its great reviews. The pool was very clean, and both the room and bathroom were impressive. The staff speak excellent English, which made everything easier. The only downsides were that the room got a bit warm at night and the balcony door was noisy when closing. Aside from that, it’s a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely recommend it. Breakfast isn’t included, but it’s available for an extra cost and the options are very local and fresh. Plus, the location is super convenient with both the tram and bus stops right outside the hotel. The hotel WiFi worked great as well.

I would come back to this hotel again as although it was a little bit away from the city centre, it was close to the castle and had a great shopping centre just 5 minutes walk or so away. The hotel was quiet, reasonably priced and the food was good. Overall. I would give it 4 out of 5 and it makes an excellent base for a short break. I think we will come back when the pool is in use.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were beautiful, modern, and spotless, with daily cleaning service. The breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of variety.
The location is slightly outside the city center, but with the metro and bus station right next to the hotel, you can be in town within 5 minutes. There’s also a large shopping mall with a huge supermarket just across the street, which was very convenient.
The swimming pool area was nice and well maintained, though it did get quite busy at times, making it a bit tricky to find a sunbed. Not a big issue, but worth noting. The only real downside was that the showers could occasionally be a bit cold—probably when many guests were using them at the same time.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay. In fact, since we’ll be back in Alicante in two weeks, we’ve already booked another room here! Highly recommended.
