Basic, clean, decent-sized rooms with comfortable beds (twin room), staff were friendly and helpful. Aircon in room for both heating and cooling (no surcharge). WiFi is available in all areas of the hotel but we found the connection to be very poor in our 2nd floor room. Overall a good budget hotel in a great location.

Great value, basic hotel in the old town, great location, lots of bars and restaurants right outside, close to the beach. Very polite reception staff. Kettle 10 euro deposit. Main strip about 20-25 mins walk. Tried breakfast once but it wasn't that great. It's perfect if you want cheap and basic place to sleep. Do not expect luxuries or 5 star treatment - this is a budget friendly place in the heart of old town.

One of the best budget hotels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are basic but the air con is unreal, and you’ve got everything you need. People booking this should understand it’s not a 5* luxury hotel – it’s cheap, cheerful, and perfect if you just need a place to get your head down.
The location is spot on: only a couple of minutes’ walk to the beach, with the Old Town right outside the hotel, full of restaurants and bars. The New Town is around 10–15 minutes away, which is actually nice because you’re close enough to enjoy it but far enough to avoid the noise.
Great little spot if you’re after value for money and a comfortable base.

Just basic rooms you get what you pay for. Air con is fantastic could do with a little bit more bedding bath is tiny but shower was good. Staff very pleasant and helpful would stay here again.

The Hotel Olimpic in Benidorm is a property with stars on its nameplate, but like many central Benidorm hotels, it has clearly seen better times. That said, it still offers a surprisingly comfortable and practical stay right in the heart of the city’s lively downtown.
Rooms: The most important point for any traveler is cleanliness, and here the Olimpic delivers. The rooms are cozy and CLEAN — spotless to the point that you can smell the chloric cleaner. While that scent may not be everyone’s taste, it is a common hallmark of local housekeeping standards and reassures you that hygiene is taken seriously. Depending on your luck, your room may face a quiet side street, the patio de luces (the indoor shaft typical of Spanish buildings where bathroom and kitchen windows open), or the infamous Gin Street, Benidorm’s nightlife epicenter. Facing Gin Street can be noisy, but let’s be honest: if you’re staying here, you’re probably part of the party yourself, so sleep eventually comes easy.
What they however really could improve is the noise when one is closing the door. You can hear them from stores above and below... BLAM! Entering or leaving... but thats also dependent on the guests...
Service: The hotel offers 24‑hour front desk service, and the staff are consistently praised for being friendly, multilingual, and supportive. Whether you arrive late at night or need assistance during the day, someone is always available to help, which adds a reassuring layer of hospitality.
Amenities: In the lobby, you’ll find a vending machine stocked with soft drinks and snacks — handy for a quick bite. If you need more, like beers, the area is surrounded by 24‑hour supermarkets, so you’re never far from supplies. There is also a dedicated breakfast room, though I didn’t try the breakfast myself. Other guests have noted that the food is decent, with buffet options typical of Spanish coastal hotels..
Dining twist: What makes the Olimpic stand out is its restaurant partnership with Pac Smash, a local spot specializing in delicious smash burgers. This is not your standard hotel dining hall — it’s a modern, flavorful burger joint that adds a fun twist to the stay. I’ll save the full burger review for another post, but it’s worth highlighting here as a unique perk.
Location: The hotel’s location is both its strength and its challenge. Being in the middle of Benidorm’s downtown means you’re steps away from bars, clubs, and the famous Gin Street. For partygoers, this is perfect. For light sleepers, it can be a bit of a struggle. Still, the convenience of being able to stumble back to your room after a night out is undeniable.
Overall impression: The Hotel Olimpic is a good choice for a short stay — a few nights to enjoy Benidorm’s nightlife and central vibe. It’s not a luxury resort, and it may feel dated in places, but it is clean, practical, and staffed by genuinely helpful people. For travelers who want to be in the middle of it all, it’s a handy, budget‑friendly option.
