We are here currently. For a start, this is NOT a 4* hotel - its a 2 at the very most! The lift from down this hill is STILL out of use. The water feature inside the entrance is off. The food is the worst myself and my girlfriend have ever experienced - probably the cheapest of the cheap products being used. I'd go as far to say the food is disgusting! Its just very bland and not much choice! Ive just came back to our room after dinner and all I could find to eat was plain white rice and one slice of pizza! The food looks vile and it smells even worse! There is ZERO atmosphere at this hotel, its absolutely lifeless! The main foyer area looks like a canteen from a care home, and this is supposed to be where the "entertainnent" happens! The outdoor pool was freezing and just not a nice looking area to be in - ive been to several other hotels in Gran Canaria and the outdoor pools have been heated! There was also NO indoor pool etc and hotel reception told us we could use the sister hotel's indoor swimming pool etc but that we would need to pay extra for that - which we said DEFINITELY NOT to. We had some cocktails which again were probably made using the cheapest of the cheap products! Its as if they pour some alcohol in the paper cup then give it a dash of very sweet and sugary syrup to give it its taste - just disgusting and undrinkable! They advertise a "Piano Bar" and there is a piano im sure, but its covered over with a dust sheet and there's certainly no bar real bar there! Its just a pathetic excuse all round for something you expect from a holiday experience! We will certainly never be back to this hotel and we will be telling our friends and family to NEVER stay at this hotel either! One last gripe is, the hotel room balconies looks out over the street - which is just horrible! Hotel room balconies are meant to have breathtaking views of the sea or at very least looking out over a nice pool area! Honestly people, this is my worst ever hotel stay! We are only here for 3 nights and I think I would cry if it had to be a night longer!

Tourist trap – not a 4★ hotel, just marketing and deception
This place is a tourist trap. It is sold as a 4★ hotel, but in reality it feels like 1–2★ at best.
Despite a reservation for two separate rooms (2 adults + child and 1 adult), we were initially given one room for 3 adults and a child, with an extra bed not suitable for an adult. Reception blamed a “system error”. Only after a serious argument did we receive the second room.
Both rooms were in similarly poor technical condition: worn and dirty furniture, cracked tiles, visible moisture and mold stains, rusted bathroom fittings and peeling bathtub enamel. On the balcony, the handrail was loose, and plaster was falling off, which is a clear safety issue.
Food quality was very poor. Meals were served in heavily scratched, damaged non-stick (Teflon) containers, raising serious hygiene concerns. Dishes were bland and low quality, desserts were the worst and most unappealing we have ever seen in a hotel, and the wine included in the open bar was almost undrinkable.
Drinks were served in glass only in the restaurant. At the pool bar and hotel bar, everything was served in paper Pepsi cups, and some drinks and food items required extra payment, even though the hotel advertises all inclusive.
The elevator to the promenade was out of order for a long time, forcing guests to take long detours on foot or walk through another hotel.
On top of all this, the atmosphere is extremely depressing. Nothing happens here, no life, no energy — easily the saddest hotel I have ever stayed in.
We stayed with a toddler, and these conditions were completely unacceptable.
Avoid this place. This is not a 4★ hotel.

Review – Hotel LIVVO Costa Taurito
The day I arrived, I arrived quite late. We were given a room, but after being inside for about an hour, we realised the room had lots of insects. I have videos and pictures as proof. I immediately asked for the room to be changed, although unfortunately it was already too late as I had rested on the bed for about 20 minutes with insects present.
We were given another room, which didn’t seem to have insects, so I accepted it. However, the key card did not work, and I had to keep going back to reception. Me and my son had to go to reception around 8 times, walking back and forth to the room many times, until maintenance finally came to fix the issue. I wasted nearly 2 hours dealing with this instead of resting after a long journey.
The hotel food is not 4-star quality. I have travelled to 23 countries and even stayed in another hotel in Taurito in 2024, so I have something to compare it to. The food was repetitive and very limited, and I still had to buy food outside the hotel.
The rooms were freezing at night, and I had to ask for a blanket.
The water park is not included in the all-inclusive package, so you still have to pay for drinks and food there. Since the hotel is a bit of a walk away, water park days can become quite expensive.
Entertainment was very poor. The only entertainment area is near the arcade, which serves the whole Taurito area. I never managed to find a seat. The shows were mainly for kids and very basic, definitely not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel.
Room cleaning was also frustrating. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 10am, asking if I wanted the room cleaned, even though I was already using the card system on the door to indicate when cleaning was needed.
Overall, my 11-day holiday was only okay because I was out almost every day. I only used the hotel pool twice. Based on my experience, the hotel and its services are closer to a 2-star hotel, not 4-star.
Finally most reviews of lower end i had experienced the same, especially water i never stayed in all inclusive without water.

Food poisoning, stay away!!!
My both kids and wife are sick because of the food.
Reported to hotel and they don’t even CARE!!
This is poor hygiene by the employees.
We also found hair on the ice, cutlery are dirty.
Stay away from here.
Food and drinks are disgusting.
Food are tasteless, drinks has not alcohol at all.
Bar at swimming pool closes at 6pm, there nothing to do on the hotel or close by.
No activity for adults or kids.
Water park it’s okay but super simple and small.
Don’t trust on the pictures, totally fake.
We arrived late on the hotel because the flight was delayed and was no food at all for us, they give a bag with a sandwich with cheese/ham and an orange.
That’s all!
Service is below zero, including the stuff.
Never again.
My both kids are vomiting and diarrhoea for over 4 days now and hotel don’t care.
We had to go to hospital because the kids are dehydrated.
Also when I reported this situation in the reception, they said never had a food poisoning before and the reviews saying that are fake.
Won’t come back here and I will leave a negative review everywhere plus report this to Canárias Sanitary Service.

In a lovely location with great facilities. Close to a amazing beach. Food was good but very similar every day and sometimes took a while to be refilled at busy times. Overall we would stay again as we loved the holiday. Waterpark exceeded our expectations.
