Very helpful staff. Excellent food with a huge choice in restaurant. Unfortunately too expensive parking for the guests. Spa area unfortunately charged extra.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here! The rooms were clean and you receive a water bottle that can be refilled anytime in the halls. Food and drinks for breakfast are very diverse and they offer a discount in their supermarket for the hotel guests. They also offer a lot of free organized activities during the day. Beach is right next to the pool which is a huge plus and they have one more pool with an amazing view. We came to the hotel after midninght and they offered us sandwiches since it was late and welcome drinks. Coctails are also high quality. We also used a gym. High recommendations - his hotel exceeded our expectations!

We had an amazing 4 night stay at Hotel Sol y Mar. From arrival 'til departure.
Our recommandations:
- Pay extra for a room with sea view, it's worth it.
- Get breakfast included. A very extensive and delicious buffet, and very welcoming staff. We were able to start every morning with great comfort.
- The spa is wonderful, the gym is well equipped and it's the perfect location to go for a run in the morning or stroll along the beach.
- The hotel offers a wide range of free events, like concerts in the lobby, gin tasting or activities outside.

I stayed here in November for my 30th birthday and it quickly became one of my favourite places to be. I would highly recommend paying the extra to upgrade to an ocean view room. The room, balcony and view were incredible and had all of the amenities you could require and more. I had a lovely surprise on my first night where the hotel provided complimentary cake and Cava.
The hotel is modern, clean and pays so much attention to detail for example, they change the rugs in the elevators every day to show the day of the week. The entire building even smelled luxurious. They do their part for sustainability which is always a bonus – I believe they put money towards removing plastic from the ocean if you book directly with them. They also put events on in the lobby including DJs and dance classes. By far, my favourite thing about this hotel is the 2 infinity pools (one of which is on the rooftop).
You are spoiled for choice at breakfast – honestly, they offer everything you can think of. I have never seen a hotel put on such a large spread before and most of the food is made to order! We ordered room service a handful of times and this is where the hotel could have some room for improvement. It was overly complicated to order (I was being passed from person to person over the phone and payment was difficult) and the food was hit or miss. Some dishes such as the spaghetti Bolognese and burgers were fantastic. Others, such as the ice cream desert and ham and cheese toastie were not as described and soggy respectively. When I provided this feedback to them, they were very quick to reach out and ask how they could improve which again, speaks volumes as to how much this hotel wants to create a perfect environment for its guests.
The reception will arrange taxis and excursions for you upon request. There is also a tourist train near the hotel which loops around the main parts of Calpe daily. It’s £5 per person for a round trip and it’s an easy way to get around (it’s hop-on, hop-off). The hotel itself is in a great location – it’s right on the beach and close to shops and pubs. There is a supermarket below the hotel and a spa next to it. Highly recommend getting a ritual at the spa – Sarah was amazing!
I could go on and on about how much I adored this hotel! I will definitely be back!

Me and my partner had the best time here. The views were stunning, food was great and the service was even better. We both decided to upgrade to a sea view room and the view did not disappoint from the seventh floor so would definitely recommend upgrading if possible. Spa was really good and we both had a massage on Christmas Day. Would definitely recommend and would definitely revisit in the summer.
