I stayed to ERC from July 31-Aug 4 and had the most amazing time! The service was amazing and everyone was really kind and friendly. The food was excellent and the drinks were so good! I had a junior suite with a pool view and it was gorgeous! I saw other reviews stating this resort is outdated and I didn’t feel that way at all! It’s absolutely beautiful! We had no problems getting chairs at the pool each day and we took our own floats to use, which was never a problem, but we also used the floats that were provided. I was celebrating my birthday while I was there and they made me feel so special! The decorated my bed and brought me a birthday dessert and sang to me several times!

It wouldn’t be an honest review without telling you the negatives, although there aren’t many!
1. The sargassum- it was evident and smelled bad but you get used to it. I didn’t use the beach because the water was brown but the pools are phenomenal so I didn’t feel like I missed out.
2. The pool water tarnished all of my jewelry and one of my bathing suits. I was able to clean them when I got home, but I’d recommend not wearing jewelry in the pool!
3. One of the hostesses, Carolina, was so rude to us. We had a reservation at Spice and she didn’t believe us and made me walk all the way back to my room for a little piece of paper to prove it. She was not nice at all and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. And Spice in general was a let down. Juan was our chef and he just cooked the food and didn’t put any effort into entertaining us. The food was fine but we were looking forward to the interactive show.
Overall, I had the best time! I would definitely go back in a heartbeat! I didn’t want to leave! Feel free to ask any questions!!

The resort is beautiful, with incredible pools, outstanding food, top-notch drinks, and entertainment that kept every day fun.
What really made the experience special was the staff. Every single person we met was genuinely friendly and seemed to enjoy making our vacation unforgettable. Special thanks to Fernando, who was always upbeat and fun, Mateo, who makes the best omelets we've ever had, and Venessa, who helped my wife make beautiful bracelets to bring home for our daughters.
A few tips for future guests: Upgrade to the Excellence Club—it's worth it for the 45 oz Tomahawk Ribeye at Magna alone! While you're there, order the Charred Pineapple cocktail at the Excellence Club Bar... ¡Muy Bueno! And don't skip the complimentary hydrotherapy session at Miilé Spa. I've never felt so relaxed in my life.
This was an amazing vacation from start to finish, and we're already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time at Excellence Riviera Cancun. The most impressive thing was how incredibly nice the staff is. Every one goes out of their way to make sure your stay is as good as possible! The food was really good. We only wish Agave restaurant was open more nights. We were not able to eat there at all because it's closed 3 nights a week. But we did go to the Mexican fiesta and the food and entertainment were amazing! The only thing we would add is more nightly entertainment, such as dancing, and later hours.

The service and location were second to none. Our room had a somewhat distasteful smell when we first arrived but once we opened the door to our patio it cleared out and our time was wonderful. We were torn between doing the daily activities and relaxing poolside or trying all of the different food options. Having too many great options is a great problem to have. The highlight of our trip; however, was the bike tour with Oswaldo into Puerto Morelos. The tour was guided very well and the side roads we took to town provided a beautiful and easy ride. Oswaldo was extremely friendly and personable and answered all of our questions about the town. It was a great way to cap off our trip and help us to get a little exercise as well. Highly recommend this resort and the amazing people who work here.

An Amazing Vacation Thanks to an Incredible Team!
Our stay at this resort exceeded every expectation. From the beautiful property and delicious restaurants to the relaxing pools and outstanding service, everything was first class. What truly makes this resort stand out, though, is the incredible staff. Every employee we met genuinely cared about making our vacation unforgettable, and they succeeded.
A special thank you to Luis, who welcomed us with a warm smile from the moment we arrived. As the resort greeter and luggage clerk, he immediately made us feel at home and set the tone for an amazing vacation.
We also want to recognize Eleuterio, one of the resort gardeners. Not only does he help keep the grounds absolutely beautiful, but he took the time to climb a coconut tree and bring us fresh coconuts to drink. It was such a thoughtful gesture and one of our favorite memories from the trip.
Thank you to Jorge at the Main Lobby Bar and Lino at Sol Bar for always serving incredible drinks with a smile. Their friendly personalities and excellent service kept us coming back every day.
A very special thank you goes to Benjamín at Magna. His level of service was truly exceptional. He was attentive, professional, personable, and made every dinner feel like a special occasion. He is a tremendous asset to this resort.
We also appreciate Fernanda at reception for making check-in and any questions we had throughout our stay quick and easy. She was always welcoming and helpful.
A huge shoutout to Caleb and Oswaldo from the activities team! Their energy, enthusiasm, and ability to get everyone involved made each day so much fun. They brought the resort to life and created memories we’ll always cherish.

Another standout was Joel, the Excellence Club host at the private pool. He consistently went above and beyond, checking on guests, making sure everyone was comfortable, and ensuring we had everything we needed. His professionalism and genuine hospitality made our Excellence Club experience even more enjoyable.
Finally, we want to thank Rosy and Carlos at Agave. They provided outstanding service, were incredibly attentive, and made every meal there one to remember.
