2nd visit to this hotel after visiting in 2021. We usually stay at the Abora Catarina but that was closed for renovations. After this stay at the Dunamar I think we will return here over the Catarina.
Food, drinks and service is all good. They have the soft drinks, beer and wine on self serve.
Entertainment was on the whole pretty decent. DJs most nights which were decent enough, couple of live singers, a "summer party" show, and a violinest and electric guitar duo who were superb.
Rooms are good and have everything you need, and were cleaned daily.
The pools can get very crowded and sunbeds feel like that you are on top of the person next to you.
The "quiet" pool is nice but it's a bit far from the bar. A plumbed in water fountain as a minimum would be good here, and same for the naturist terrace.
Overall, great stay and happy we decided on this hotel.

We booked last minute through Jet2 and didn't know what to expect as never been to Gran Canaria before. The hotel is lovely with its sun terraces on different levels and 3 separate pool areas.
Service and staff have been amazing. Arinegua and Evelyn were very hospitable in the Unique Lounge. Definitely worth upgrading.
The only down side was our room. Very spacious and perfect for our stay. But very tired and furniture damaged. The bathroom needs a good clean and redec. Paintwork grubby so it made the room feel dirty.
However, the rest of the place is lovely and definitely worth staying. The rock band The Dukes played last night and they were fab and had the whole place engaged.
Well done everyone at this hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The room was unique, stylish, and very comfortable, with every detail carefully thought out. The exceptional service provided by the Unique team made our stay even more special.
A special compliment to the wonderful staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and spoke several languages fluently, making every guest feel at home.
Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. Every morning we were warmly looked after by Arinegua, Evelyn, and Arminda, together with the talented chef. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, and the service was always delivered with a smile.
And if you love coffee, you are in for a treat—the cappuccino is simply outstanding and one of the best we’ve ever had!
Thank you to the entire team for making our holiday so memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back!

This hotel is absolutely what I would call luxury. The rooms and the decor all throughout the complex is stunning. My room was cleaned and left with fresh made bed every morning and fresh towels. I was checked in by Daniel who was great and the reception staff were available 24/7 and very helpful if any queries. I felt very safe here as a solo traveller. They have a back gate access to the beachfront so it’s very ideal as you aren’t having to walk far if you are out in the beach front. I had bed and breakfast and the breakfast buffet did provide a wide array of options and a Nescafe coffee machine aswell as fresh water and multiple fresh drinks and milks to pick from. However most of the hot food at breakfast was lukewarm or cold and I was down for 7.30 every morning mostly so this was a little disappointing.
I never had an issue getting a sun lounger at the main pool and didn’t notice much hogging of reserving of beds with towels. Sara in the bar on the main pool was fantastic she was very welcoming and made the best cocktails and recommended some very good options.
The entertainment at night is solely on the Nero cocktail bar which is always packed and needs a reservation so I never bothered with it, it was often just singers and not really entertainment as such. The lack of entertainment at night and during the day is probably one thing the hotel could improve on - I just went out every night.
Whilst the staff couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming, this hotel is filled with a lot of couples that are older and probably retired. I was a solo female traveller and I think I said hi or smiled to everyone I passed and didn’t once receive anything back so just something to note. But this of course is nothing the hotel can control and not a reflection on the hotel or the services they provide.
I would come back here if back in Gran Canaria, it was beautiful and very peaceful ☀️

The start of our stay was good. Jorge at the reception is a very friendly guy who gave us al the information de needed.
The hotel itself was good. The buffet was ok, nothing really special.
Wifi worked great and the room itself was clean and had everything we needed.
But there were some things we really didn’t like. Some of the staff was so rude, especially Montse at the restaurant. We avoided being served by her.
The biggest problem was that there was a mouse in our room. We were not scared, but the little animal ran over us while we were sleeping and of course, we didn’t want that. We told reception and they quite frankly laughed at us, they didn’t understand why we would make a fuzz about such a small problem. Again: we were very calm and understanding.
2 men came into our room and just smashed it dead and showed us the dead mouse. Honestly, horrible experience.
The main problem wasn’t the hotel, it was the staff making fun of us and being unkind. We are a queer couple who were looking for a safe place to stay, but we won’t be coming back here.
