This was our first stay at Coral Sea Holiday Village and our fourth consecutive year visiting Egypt.
Overall, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and well maintained. The food was of good quality with plenty of choice, and all the staff throughout the resort were friendly, hardworking, and welcoming.
We did notice a slight difference in how guests wearing the Holiday Village purple wristbands were treated compared to guests who had booked through other international tour operators. It wasn’t something that affected our holiday, but it was noticeable.
The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of our experience with the reception team, which unfortunately let an otherwise excellent holiday down.
A few examples:
* Our booking clearly included two à la carte restaurant visits, but reception repeatedly insisted we were only entitled to one.
* We had ongoing problems with our room key cards. Instead of listening to the issue, we were simply told it was because we had kept the cards near our phones, even though that wasn’t the cause.
* We also experienced an issue with the air conditioning lock. In the end, it was the cleaning staff who arranged for a technician to come and fix it, rather than reception.
Our biggest disappointment, however, was how our room request was handled.
We were travelling as two families with young children, and our only request was to have two ground floor rooms close to each other. This wasn’t because we wanted a particular room category, but simply so that once the children were asleep, we could sit together outside on the terrace or balcony and enjoy a glass of wine without disturbing anyone.
We even offered to accept a lower room category if that meant we could have two nearby ground floor rooms. Instead, the only alternative offered was two rooms in a completely different building, far away from everything, which wasn’t a realistic option. We felt that nobody genuinely listened to our request, especially the reception manager. The conversation left us feeling rushed into making a decision, as we were told that if we didn’t decide immediately, the rooms would be given to someone else.
In all our previous visits to Egypt, we have always found hotels to be very accommodating with reasonable room requests, which is one of the reasons we enjoy returning year after year. This was the first time we felt disappointed by the way we were treated.
Despite this, we would still recommend Coral Sea Holiday Village. It is a lovely resort with excellent rooms, good food, and fantastic staff in most departments. If the reception team improved their customer service and communication, this hotel would easily deserve a 5 star rating

Love it here, Youseff is excellent, kept us in drinks all day. Small £5 tip for lifeguard and waiters get you looked after and sun beds sorted.
Our deluxe room was excellent, huge room and bathroom, shower not the best but does the job.
Rooms cleaned daily and the cleaner leaves nice touches such as swan towel shapes etc.
The entertainment team work hard, activities all day and evening, only critique is that the external entertainment isn’t what i would expect from a hotel of this quality and cost. I’ve stayed in 3 star hotels which have much better entertainment.
Food is very good, huge choice and all excellent quality. Very hot on allergies here, so perfect you have any.
Snorkelling is ok, not like reef snorkelling elsewhere but they have a section from a jetty off the beach and it’s, shallow and safe, ideal for the kids to learn. I did take some bread down to attract some fish, the lifeguard spoke to me like dirt, absolutely ruined my day as I was fuming! Learn how to talk to guests properly, especially when it cost me over 6k for a weeks holiday!
Swimming pools are great, nice and warm.
The Sahari restaurant is exceptional, we all ate our food and thoroughly enjoyed all courses. The service was also excellent and would come back here in a heartbeat.
Be careful at the Bamboo restaurant, do not expect Chinese food like at home. The starters were edible but none of our family of 5 ate the main course, boiled meats covered in sauces that were not pleasant, I don’t think anything hit a wok, no char on the noodles or meats, the deserts were nice though. They really need to look at Chinese food more carefully or don’t offer it at all.
So all in all, I would return but going to try a different hotel next time.

This is our second visit to this hotel, we loved it last year in a family room, that we booked again for this year and stayed in a swim up.
The swim ups are fantastic, they are very spacious rooms, with a gated patio area.
Every 45 mins or so, the bar staff come around to your room to ask if you want drinks. Hany & Ahmed were fantastic, very attentive and so friendly!
We had 5 à la cartes for a 11 night stay, which we all superb.
The staff really make this place really special, they are so hardworking and really go out of their way to make sure you have an unforgettable experience. Staff are fantastic will children, the whole hotel as such a wonderful vibe , we will 100% be returning again. Thank you

Family holiday booked through tui. We arrived near midnight but food was still available. The room was large and spacious with a fridge, water, coffee and milk. Day one was good. The village is busy but not mobbed. Food on offer most of the day along with drinks. Plenty of pools and space around the village with an adventure water park across the road which we haven't tried yet. The same with the beach. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the gardens are immaculate

We’ve had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Coral Sea Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.
The standout feature has to be the staff. Every single member of the team has been incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
The food has been excellent throughout our stay, with plenty of choice at every meal. The à la carte restaurants were a real highlight and truly first class, offering delicious food and a great dining experience.
Our room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in, making it easy to relax after a day in the sun.
Overall, this has been a wonderful holiday from start to finish. Thank you to everyone at Coral Sea Hotel for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to return!
