Hotel Coral Cotillo Beach is fantastically located a short walk from incredible beach views. Pools were spacious and inviting, delicious food, and gym facility was well stocked.
The reception staff were very friendly, however on one occasion one of the restaurant porters (who may be a different person now) put his hands on me and practically shoved me out of the restaurant because I did not have small change to pay for dinner; I have never been treated so rudely in my life by a member of staff.
The room was comfortable, however there was no WiFi signal in mine despite paying for it (unlucky I suppose - had to go to the hall outside to get signal), and the shower would randomly turn on at night. Comfortable and clean enough for a stay however, with great views of the courtyard.

Hotel is a bit dated. Elevator was out of use. Some tiles missing from the pool. Room was a bit shabby but clean. There is a slight musty smell in the bathroom.
Breakfast was good, although occasionally a lot of the coffee machines were out of use which led to long queues.
There is a QR-code on the hotel room wall and following that code it says there is a special offer to upgrading from bed and breakfast to half board. The staff didn't know about the offer and they didn't sell it to us even though we showed them the offer. This is unacceptable. I gave feedback via hotels website but never got an answer. We took our money elsewhere which was actually a good thing because we found many lovely restaurants in El Cotillo.
El Cotillo was a very pleasant surprise! Big enough village offering restaurants, shops and superb beaches! Especially Playa del Aljibe de la Cueva in the South of the village and La Concha beach in the North were lovely. The northern part of La Concha is quite popular for nudists.
I would definitely want to visit El Cotillo again, but I wouldn't choose Hotel Coral Cotillo Beach.

Mixed Stay – Some Nice Touches, But Several Disappointments
The reception staff were genuinely excellent – warm, efficient, and very helpful throughout our stay. They really stood out as the highlight and made check-in/check-out a breeze.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives largely ended. The listing clearly advertised a tennis court on site, but when we arrived there was none to be found – only a paddle tennis court was available. For anyone specifically looking forward to playing tennis (as we were), this was a big let-down and felt like false advertising.
In the room itself we were unpleasantly surprised by lots of small insects crawling around both on the floor, tables and in the bathroom. It wasn’t an infestation, but it was constant enough to be annoying and made the room feel unclean.
Another small but frustrating omission: there was no electric kettle in the room, which is pretty standard these days, especially when the description doesn’t warn you otherwise.
Overall, the friendly front desk team deserves praise, but the missing tennis court, insects, and lack of basic in-room amenities made the stay feel overpriced and underwhelming. We won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to double-check exactly what facilities are actually available before booking.

A lovely hotel all in all. We travelled as a couple and found the prices and accommodating good. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food was varied. The toilet was slightly strange, continuously running water.
