This is a lovely hotel but I wouldn't class it as a 4 star hotel. It is in a beautiful location, stunning views and a quaint little beach in a bay with lots of water activities. The staff at the hotel are fabulous, friendly and happy to help. The outside area is small but well kept and lovely to sit around. There's a bus to and from Heraklion. The entertainment was fun and different each night. It's a great little place. My sister and I had a fabulous time.
The downsides to this hotel, which in my mind would make is a 3 star hotel. It doesn't replenish your bottled water each day in your room and there's no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We kept buying water but the fridge didn't work so we couldn't keep anything cool. There was also no little extra toiletries in the bathroom. There was a soap dispenser in the shower but no shampoo/conditioner, flannels, etc.
The food, there's lots of beef and pork dishes, occasionally chicken, plenty of vegetarian dishes, great salad variety, but the hot food is so salty! It's a shame because there was so much to choose from but the flavours were overwhelmed by salt. Don't expect great quality, fancy cocktails either. But the beer is really good.

This was mine and my partners first time visiting Crete, and staying at the blue bay hotel resort.
We travelled 28th April until may 5th.
The staff at the hotel are lovely, extremely attentive especially during food service, so no complaints there. Room service was also great with refreshed towels daily if needed, a soap bar at the sink and a body wash dispenser in the shower. Only suggestion would be to make this a 2-in-1 product for hair and body , although we bought a shampoo the next day.
I’m assuming by looking at some of the other reviews that we possibly travelled ‘out of season’ as we had no evening entertainment at all during our stay, except on our last day, we saw a flyer for an event but of course we wouldn’t be there for it, given this, there wasn’t actually much to do in the evening on the days the weather was bad besides drink, which is great if that’s all you want to do.
The food: of course is kind of subjective given everyone has different palates, personally I didn’t really enjoy a single meal, it was very samey in the evening and was either super bland or extremely salty. Breakfast was fine, salad options fine but the rest, wasn’t for me.
Hotel is clean and well kept.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were incredible and super helpful and attentive. We had a baby with us and they were so accommodating with warming up milk and calling the doctor when we needed to. The food options were great and a lot of variety. Thank you!

This place was lovely! From the moment we checked in at 5am we were provided excellent service with a ‘goody bag’ in case we were hungry and thirsty before the restaurant opened. Throughout the holiday the hotel organised taxis, with one even being complimentary! They also provided assistance at every step of the way. The food was fantastic, a different selection of fresh food every single meal and it was always different. Poolside service was perfect and despite being all inclusive there were very limited queues meaning you can eat and get refreshments quickly and easily. We are already looking into rebooking this same hotel for future holidays. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We had an amazing holiday in September at this hotel and would highly recommend it for families looking to relax and create unforgettable memories.
The hotel itself is lovely and very clean. The food and drinks were varied and catered to all tastes, so there was always something enjoyable for everyone. The views around the hotel are beautiful, and there’s a stunning beach nearby that made our days even more special.
What truly made our stay unforgettable was the customer service — it was honestly one of the best experiences we've ever had. Every single member of staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and happy. A huge thank you to the entire team!
We’d especially like to mention the amazing bar staff, Gorge and George, and their manager. They were absolutely brilliant and brought so much fun and positive energy to our holiday. Big hello from Valeria, Tatiana, and sister :)
Also, a big shoutout to the lovely girl who ran the kids’ evening disco. She was fantastic with the children — they absolutely adored her!
All in all, it was a fantastic stay, and we’re so grateful for the experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and family-friendly holiday!
