This was an amazing holiday. We arrived very late and had booked a villa for our stay . We were greeted with some cold drinks and a towel to freshen up There were some technical difficulties with our villa and we got upgraded to the presidential villa , I have never been upgraded before so was very happy.
The villa was stunning it had 2 floors and the sea views were breathtaking. The staff had left some food in our room and because we are vegetarian the chef made us some different ones bearing in mind we are at 1am.
The staff were so helpful the whole of our stay. The food was nice and we were told by the chef that some of the meat was halaal . The hotel was nice and quiet jsut what we needed.
The rooms were cleaned every day and water bottles were replenished every day aswell. The staff would offer us water when we were in the lobby waiting for transfers would definitely recommend this hotel.
When we left we were given gifts by the hotel which included olive oil, Greek honey and chocolates. Thankyou everyone for making our stay special

A beautiful location with marvellous views, between several beaches and a shopping street. The facilities are excellent and the service with a smile was a constant at all levels - literally as the resort is on a hill. Multiple swimming pools and two bars. Evening entertainment was fun and professional with a variety of acts. The all inclusive wine and drinks including soft drinks could definitely be better though. The restaurant is large with sun terraces to choose from. The food and number of different dishes are wonderful.

I loved every bit of my holiday at this hotel, as suggested on the website if you have mobility issues your best using the shuttle bus to the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Went for the room with a private jacuzzi and it was lovely and clean! Food options changed daily and there was something for everyone in my opinion. would definitely reccomend and visit again! Wished we stayed longer! Lol

Had an amazing holiday at blue bay , the staff were so friendly and helpful .
We stayed in the annex building which is a short walk up a hill . At first I was dreading it and praying we didn’t get allocated a room there , however it turned out to be the best place to be . Such a relaxing atmosphere a peaceful swimming pool and then a bar which opened from 10am till 1am .
Also had the options of snacks throughout the day .
The room was very basic but it was clean only thing I would have liked was tea & coffee facilities in room .
The restaurant offered a great variety of foods for everyone and plenty of choices of drinks .
The views from this hotel are breathtaking to see the sunrise and sunset was truly amazing.
Evening entertainment was good 😊.
The only thing that I was disappointed in was coming home wish I could have stayed longer .
Be sure to do the quad safari on the evening you won’t regret it .

It's been a great week at the Blue Bay resort. Cold refreshments upon arrival within the reception area. We arrived very late and we're shown to our room with a bag of sandwiches and snacks which was appreciated.
The room was very basic, but clean and has been cleaned daily. There is a small fridge but no tea or coffee facility.
It's approximately 100 steps up from our room to the pool area so if you have mobility difficulties you will need to be aware of this.
The pool area is lovely, open from 10am to 6pm. Drinks served till 11pm.
Pizza, cakes & ice cream also available.
Its well attended to, with shower, coffee and water stations close by.
Some nights they have a D.J till 11pm
The main restaurant for AI is up another approx 40 stairs, then into a lift. Breakfast, lunch & dinner are set times. The food can be a little repetitive but there is enough variety to cater for all. There is indoors and outdoor seating, with smoking available.
There is a shop located within the reception area which is good to stock up on your basics. You'll need water for your room.
Monofalitis beach is 5 minutes walk down a steep, steep hill but there is a shuttle available. The beach is small but delightful. The sea is so clear and tranquil and there are a few restaurants and souvenir shops here too. Sunbeds are about 10 euros.
The staff are all friendly and welcoming within Blue Bay. I would argue this is not a four star resort, but definitely a three star. The sea views are unreal and the location is perfect, 35 minute transfer from Heraklion. However some parts are a little outdated, and if you are not based it the main hotel then you'll have a lot of walking to do.
