We absolutely love coming to this hotel. It is amazing for families and couples. The staff here are amazing and the customers service is outstanding. We had Charity look after our room who was so kind and polite and always happy to help, she really made us feel so welcome. Lorenzo on the front desk always went above and beyond to help us and provided excellent service. The bar staff and waiters are all friendly and welcoming. We couldn’t recommend more. The hotel and staff really made our holiday so special.

We had a wonderful stay at Barceló Fuerteventura Mar. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and perfectly located. The facilities are excellent, the food offers plenty of variety, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and family-friendly.
A special thank you to Leandro, who took great care of our room throughout our stay. He was attentive, professional, and made sure our requests were taken into account, including changing our pillows to the type we preferred. It’s these small details and level of care that really make a difference.

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience.
The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout, and the views were beautiful. The location was excellent, with plenty of local shops, bars, and restaurants within easy walking distance. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff, who were all extremely friendly and welcoming. The cleaning staff in particular deserve a special mention – every morning they greeted us with a smile and a cheerful “good morning,” which really brightened our day.
There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. The queues at the bar were often quite long, especially during busy periods. The food was decent but became repetitive, as there was very little variation from day to day. The pool was also very cold, which made it less enjoyable than expected.
Another disappointment was the towel policy. Guests are only provided with one beach towel, which requires a £10 refundable deposit. If you would like a clean towel during your stay, there is an additional £2 charge each time, which is non-refundable. Finally, the entertainment was quite lacking in our opinion and could benefit from more variety and better organisation.
Overall, this is a clean, well-located hotel with fantastic staff and lovely views. While there are some areas that could be improved, we still enjoyed our stay and would consider returning.

We stayed at Barceló Mar for one week and had a good time there. The room is spacious and the resort is well kept. Unfortunately room cleaning was disappointing - there were hairs on the floor when we arrived and they remained there for the entire week. The shower drain did not work. The room air conditioning wasn't working, nor the mini-fridge.
We had half-board, but I recommend getting only breakfast. The breakfast buffet is good, there will be something for everyone. Lunch or dinner were disappointing - plenty of disappointing options. Cleanliness was also lacking - we saw one cockroach roaming the restaurant; one of the chefs cooking pork was using the same utensil for both raw and cooked food.
There are good restaurant options around the hotel, so eat breakfast there but enjoy lunch and dinner elsewhere.
I know this isn't a problem for the hotel, but worth keeping in mind if you plan on going there: the beach umbrellas and stretchers are expensive ($10.70 / day for a pair of stretchers) and the sand isn't cleaned around them (many cigarette buds, and even a broken bottle once).

Alvaro is an amazing trip advisor he knows a lot activities and he is very helpful without him the holiday would have been different. The housekeeper valarie made our day with her fantastic towel origami. We love the hotel it was literally next to the beach you open the gate and there's the beach. We used the spa and we enjoyed it had a Mexican massage via the thalasso spa. The entertainment was fun bingo and entertainment late at night at the green house theatre. We went half board because we are adventurous and explores like to explore the outside world of hotel at lunch instead of staying at the hotel we do activities and eat out
. It's definitely the hotel I would go back to have a break. Love the mini golf I'm probably waffling because it was amazing. I don't mind the buffet every day was different food but I never got bored of the wrinkly canarian potatoes and fish I can survive on that everyday. We love it soo much we had to express it in person to the guest experience manager and share our experience on Google. What an amazing place definitely coming back hoping to bring the family to enjoy the Holiday. Love from 8146
