My partner and I stayed at this hotel for five days with breakfast included.
The breakfast was okay; however, the options could have been more varied. It seemed to be the same selection on the same days, which became a little repetitive. I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant on a couple of occasions, and the food was decent. One positive feature was the availability of a microwave, which was really important for me as I prefer hot food. Although the food options were limited, they were acceptable.
I rated the room three stars. This is mainly because the double bed I booked turned out to be two single beds pushed together, which was quite uncomfortable for both me and my partner.
We travelled in January, when daytime temperatures ranged between 17–21°C but dropped significantly in the evenings. After the first night, which was very cold, I requested a heater. The receptionist advised that only one heater was available and was currently being used by another guest. We were given extra blankets, but this felt unacceptable given the colder temperatures and the fact that our room was located on the fourth floor near the swimming pool. There was no door to block drafts, which made the room even colder.
On the third night, I spoke to another receptionist who was male. He was very friendly, took our details, and managed to provide us with a heater. From that point onward, the room became much warmer and far more comfortable.
The hotel is located on a hill, so it may not be ideal for guests who struggle with steep walks. However, for those who enjoy scenic views, the location is spectacular. When the skies are clear, the views of the volcano and mountains are absolutely beautiful.
The hotel is also conveniently located — approximately an 11-minute walk to the beach, supermarkets, mini-marts, and nearby restaurants.
Overall, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and our experience was generally positive. The main issues were the bed arrangement and the heating situation, but aside from that, it is a good hotel with great views and helpful staff.

Very friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful rooms and very beautiful clean hotel. Large variety of food at buffet. Very quiet location and close to the beach! Minor down side, Damp mop smell on arrival in room (which aired out once patio doors were opened) odd damp mop smell near what I guess is the cleaning cubered in the corridor. But nothing major. Hubby just likes to complain lol Food is nice, me and my hubby are picky, but always found something to enjoy. Big effort put in by chefs. Presentation of salad is excellent. Bar staff make massive effort. Good experience overall. Staff make the holiday, cant fault them. Food at the pool bar really nice. Throughly enjoyed. Drinks at the pool bar not as good as at the main bar though. But still good. I loved the hotel made us feel so comfortable. So it was a good experience. Also pool really nice and Poole area. Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay! The staff are amazing🌷Our holiday will always be remembered, we came for our honeymoon🩷

We had a fantastic stay at AluaSoul Orotava Valley and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was excellent. The hotel is in a great location, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to local attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
The food was outstanding throughout our stay – plenty of choice, great quality, and always fresh and well presented. Every meal was something to look forward to.
A special mention must go to Bruno, who truly made our stay even more memorable. He is a top-class waiter – always smiling, always helpful, and genuinely friendly. Bruno clearly enjoys his job, and that positive energy really shows in the way he looks after guests. His service was exceptional and deserves real recognition.
Overall, AluaSoul Orotava Valley exceeded our expectations. A wonderful hotel with great food, a great location, and amazing staff. We would absolutely recommend it and would love to return in the future.

Service in the hotel was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and looked nice, but cleaning was not the best. The buffet had lots of options for dinner and breakfast but that was not a 4 star hotel options, based on my opinion and experience. Tvs in the room you could not even use Netflix or youtube. We ordered breakfast takeaway for the day we were travelling and when we came to pickup, they said they don't do it, so at 5am we went to the airport without food, quite disappointing.

We've just come home from our week at Alua Soul Orotava. Since it was very early we left this morning, we did not have time to thank anyone in particular.
What a nice place you run, with every member of the team contributing in his own way and with his/her own expertise. Breakfast staff, entertainment (hello Yarina!), facility staff, room personal, front desk: we can't think of anything that wasn't done to make it more pleasant for us. Spotlessly clean and tidy room (#3005), great beds and linen, coffee and tea always refilled, the fluffiest omelets we ever ate, mouthwatering sweets, lovely garden & green management: can't think of anything that wasn't really good and great.
We want to wish all of you a very good christmas and lots of happiness in 2026. Please pass it on to your team.
