A fab holiday!
Firstly do download the World of Hyatt app before arriving - it contains so much useful information!
This was our sixth Spanish all inclusive over the last few years and probably the best.
We had quiet, spacious accommodation on the ground floor with working AC in MFC area (adult only section) and had a lovely quiet view of the beautiful gardens with a south facing terrace. All terraces and balconies throughout the complex have reclining chairs with cushions.
The hotel operate a free token system for plastic drinking cups around the pools. This means there is no litter and debris around the pools at the end of the day like at many other hotels.
Being MFC we had 4 choices of where to eat - the very good main restaurant and very good small MFC lounge,, which are both self service and you can sit inside or outside. We found the food excellent.
We also ate in the MFC restaurant which is inside and is a mix of self serve/ brought to table. One night we booked to eat inside at the Enyesque restaurant- I think you need to be a foodie to enjoy this, which we did immensely. The meal consisted of a tasting platter, a soup, a main course and dessert.. You know what the meal is as you have to book. It is open Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
One little niggle- there was often not any seating available for a pre early evening meal drink as the only bar open was the reception bar.
There is a choice of pool areas too. The main activity pool is heated.
We enjoyed the nightly entertainment - African acrobatic show in the theatre, Flamenco show and various top class singers in the plaza.
When we arrived, we got through Fuerteventura airport with luggage in about 30 minutes, including passport stamp and arrived about 7pm on a monday night. We had not pre-booked transport. There was a 35 minute queue for a taxi and the ride here was about the same and cost 60 € by card. There was no check in queue. The hotel booked us a taxi to the airport when we went back.
We found all the staff to be polite and professional. My husband reported a couple of broken locks in the men's cubicles to reception after lunch one day. By the evening, these had been fixed.
We will definitely consider a return visit!

Just arrived home from a wonderful holiday here with my partner. The hotel mostly exceeded expectations - the pools and gardens are really beautiful and the complex has a really chilled out, tropical vibe. We didn't book MFC but were impressed with our Junior Suite Pool View - it was very spacious with separate sleeping area, massive king bed (super comfortable) and walk in dressing area. Large sofa/bed in living area and terrace overlooking one of the pools, with some palms and tropical foliage in between. The terrace was furnished with very comfortable, cushioned chairs. It was lovely chilling out there in the evening before dinner. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the pool areas and loungers are jet washed every morning, gardeners were keeping the place looking beautiful and housekeeping was excellent. We had a couple of maintenance issues on arrival concerning a leak from the toilet and the air conditioning, but these were sorted out pretty much immediately. The Animation team were brilliant, I particularly enjoyed morning yoga up on the grassed area under the trees (really nice) and the aqua gym/zumba sessions, which were great fun. Really nice, fun and friendly people. The activities pool was heated to a good temperature, in fact it was nice to swim a few lengths in one of the colder pools and then jump into the heated one, which made it feel like getting into a warm bath! (apparently heated from 1st November - April). Our Suite looked out over the largest pool (big) which was great for swimming lengths. Food was mostly good, with lots of choice and the à la carte restaurant made a nice change - it was decent if not spectacular (dessert of chocolate fondue torte with gofio ice cream was a highlight). Entertainment every night from 9pm - the Flamenco was absolutely fantastic, one of the best l've ever seen. Drinks were great - many brands are included on the Al menu and there are plenty of alcohol free alternatives too (including beer) which I enjoyed very much. Location is great - the seafront is just across the road and there are some beautiful beaches nearby, walking along the coast in either direction. The area around the hotel is quite upmarket with some beautiful villas up and down the seafront. Views over Lobos and Lanzarote are stunning. It's a lovely walk across the seafront to the old town/ Music Square (approx 20mins). Plenty of sun beds available although spots that attract full sun all day can be a little limited, we are early risers so always found a spot we were happy with (we love sunbathing!). We thought the value for money here was very good and would definitely return - it does have quite a luxurious feel in a low key way. Have returned home feeling totally chilled out!

We are currently on our third day at Alua Suites, and overall, we’ve really enjoyed our stay. The resort has a lovely atmosphere, and there are plenty of positives, along with a few areas that could be improved.
The staff at Terra Restaurant are generally very welcoming, and the food selection is excellent, with a great variety that changes daily, especially at dinner. However, one negative experience stood out — a waitress removed my mother’s plate before she had finished eating, without asking first. It would be nice to see a bit more attentiveness in this area.
We also tried the Fresco Restaurant for lunch, but it mainly offers fast food options. Unfortunately, when we arrived at around 1 p.m., there were no cutlery or napkins available, so we decided to return to Terra instead.
There are two pool bars open during the day. The barman at the smaller pool bar during our first two days was fantastic — very friendly and chatty, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, the service at both bars today felt less pleasant, as the staff came across rather abrupt and didn’t use basic courtesies like “please” or “thank you.”
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the cleaning staff are wonderful — always cheerful and doing a great job. One small improvement I’d suggest is adding a power socket near the large mirror in the room, so guests can use a hair dryer or straightener more conveniently. A small mirror on the desk would also be helpful, as it can be difficult for everyone to get ready at the same time when the only mirror and sockets are in the bathroom.
Overall, Alua Suites is a lovely place to stay, with great facilities, delicious food, and friendly service in most areas. A few small improvements would make the experience even better.

Had a fantastic holiday at the wonderful Alua Suites. All staff were very friendly, there was a great choice of food on offer at all meal times and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment, in particular a band called 3REBEL. The complex had fantastic pools and lots of activities for all the family. We went as a party of 9 and stayed in four Junior suits which we were very pleased with. The location was lovely and we enjoyed regular walks into Corallejo and El Campanario. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have already booked to go back next year, this time a 10 night stay. Highly recommend

We had great holiday here it has 4 pools which can be used and if you want to book the adults only area for your holiday that’s also an option which you have to pre book for your stay when you book your holiday you can’t do it when your there. The hotel itself is very nice and there’s plenty of entertainment throughout the day to get involved with around the pool from pool aerobics to pool bingo and others. There outdoor bowls volleyball in the afternoon and a basketball area and ping pong table and pool table. The staff are good at getting people involved and they have different food days in the “The Spot” refreshments area. The location is ok the local beach isn’t the greatest which is just across the road from the hotel but if you don’t mind a short bus ride for about 6 or 7 minutes for a couple of euros you can get to the grande playa beach which is a lovely award winning beach with beautiful clear water and two sun loungers with. Parasol is 9 euros. You can get a taxi there for 7 to 8 euros and even better if you’ve hired your own car. The grande playa is a must visit I can also recommend the OBI tours luxury catamaran boat trip very good day out. The rooms are nice and they come with free air con. The food is what you would expect for N all inclusive hotel. Also there is nightly entertainment out on from singers to Spanish flamenco dancers which I thought were good. If you’re travelling out to the Main shopping Street go all the way down to the end to music square where you can get a good meal and free live entertainment and street dancers. Which is a good night out. There are also some nice beach resteraunts at the back of the Main Street. The Main Street is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel.
